I hope we finally get some DC news again, it seems like they've mainly been focusing on everything else they make figures of lately

Indeed. In December they had said they would talk about the rest of the wave that 1989 Batman comic Joker is supposed to be a part of in January, and then instead they just spent the entire January stream talking about mascots.

I thought the Joker '89 figure was going to be part of another exclusive Deluxe Theatrical wave, but I guess that was a wrong assumption. That said, out of all the figures being released on 3/18, there will be a massive purple dash by the collectors for Mr. Napier. I suspect that one will be sold out on all platforms within minutes. Well, happy hunting!

I had some interest in First Appearance Supergirl when she was on the leak lists, but I might end up passing. That isn't a great head sculpt and the outfit is too blue.

Black Canary, first Appearance Supergirl and Nicholson Joker are must grabs for me, I'm very tempted by Freddy and Vigilante, as well as the Superman/Mogul Two-Pack, I'm honestly embarrassed that I never considered that by "Kryptonian suit Superman" that leaked list meant the regeneration suit, it's about time Mcfarlane finally put out a regeneration suit Superman, and I like the re-use of the recent page punchers head sculpt here. Also, I know they've been milking DKR Batman, but that's my favorite look from that story, and I love the wired cape there (who am I kidding? I love the wired cape everywhere!) so I'm gonna try to pick it up as well

I think McFarlane is positioning itself post-DC by promoting new licenses & diverse Spawn lines. McFarlane has 8 1/2 months left with DC, so they're winding down. We're already seeing a number of repaints & minor new head sculpts & paint apps to maximize profits. This isn't unusual for toy companies to take this path. A lot of the new characters' figures are using previous body molds with new heads.

I must be honest, the only figures I'll buy are Joker '89 and the BTAS BAF Clock King. I may buy Black Canary, but that's it.

I'm kinda into Black Canary & First Apperance Super Girl, but I likely don't care that much about Black Canary if she doesn't come with a neutral additional head, I'm not big on the Screaming face, Super Girl who like Black Canary has some big dumb looking feet, like those boots/footwear belong to another figure entirely and they generally look stupid.

I do like that from what I saw from the DC leaks that we are getting some really odd choices of characters and some classic stuff, but it feels all a bit too late, Oh and I of course wanted to rip my hair out when I saw in the last week at least what 8 new Batmans, Just stoppppp.

I want to see the collection of that 1 person who made it their sole goal to get every single Batman Todd ever did.

It's confirmed that Black Canary comes with multiple face plates, so the screaming head is just one option

Todd has now made three main Supergirl figures (Rebirth, World of Tomorrow, and First Appearance) and not one time has he made a mold of her actual boots. So all three figures look ridiculous from the knee down (Rebirth looks bad from the skirt down because she's wearing some kind of weird red tights).

Okay that's cool, I mean I'd like to get it, but I always with anything decent from Todd, know it won't be easy, so I just give up.

Yeah it's pretty lackluster and terrible TBH.

It’s a shame they used Chris Reeve’s body for Brandon Routh’s Supermanit’s especially noticeable around the neckbut it’d still be nice to get one. Black Canary turned out really well; her jacket would be perfect for Superboy. I really like that Cowboy (Vigilante) too—I already have the first Lobo, but I might get this one too if the price is right. As for Supergirl... well, I don’t know, she’s actually pretty good, but I prefer the red skirt; maybe there’ll be a version like that someday (Platinum, Gold, or something similar). And finally, the black-suited Superman, with exactly the flaws I expected from McFarlane. But seriously, why couldn’t they have used Icon’s legs? There are no boot tops or a belt on them, and then he’d look just like he does in the comics (I’ll note that Eradicator should have been made that way, too, with this body). Why is even this simple thing beyond Todd’s capabilities? It’s annoying, especially since these are made for adult collectors—they should know that even the smallest details matter to them. Robin is fine too; I hope he gets some accessories as well. I don’t know Bronze Tiger that well, but I like this one; Gangbuster looks like his eyes and mouth were drawn with a pencil. So, we’re looking forward to the next installment.

Agree with you 100%.  The one person I know of who is a completist is "dhunter reviews" on youtube. He buys two of every Batman related Mcfarlane figure. He's shown his collection before but it must be enormous by now. Happy collecting everyone!!

dhunter is my favorite DC figure reviewer. I don't know if he knows how naturally funny he is! All those comparisons he does and the sheer volume and dedication he has is truly unique! Whenever I need to know how a McFarlane figure measures up, I always go to him.

He's definitely one of a kind! One of my go to guys as well when a review is needed. Dude is hilarious and honest...great combo for reviews. 5poa and toy shiz are also few of my favorites. Happy collecting everyone!

There’s a ton more DC figures coming besides these. I want to see the classic Ivy and wonder if B&R Ivy #2 is just a reissue or one of her multiple alternates costumes. I want that Returns Catwoman #2 with battle damaged head. I want to see Nicholson’s 2nd head and I want to know what his Platinum is going to be. I already preordered both months ago from overseas, but no additional images were available.

Yep, dHunter is funny as hell sometimes. He’s the only other person Im aware of that also is a completist on the line, although I dont think he has the sdcc Beast Boy figs, so maybe Im the only one that has it all. I know there are others. There’s another Beast Boy coming so Im curious if theyre throw collectors a bone and reissuing at least the regular edition. Theyre both $500-800 on the secondary and there are only 2,000 total.

Lol i never thought of dhunter as funny, as in trying to be funny, but he does say some things that gets me to laugh. He's probably the top guy for dc multiverse reviews on youtube. Shout out to asoka the geek, brad the dc universe geek &  5poa too.

There are still some intriguing McFarlane figures coming, despite the Batman-heavy focus of the last wave.  There's Classic Poison Ivy, 80s Wonder Woman, and a variety of Supergirl figures that might beat WoT (the movie versions probably won't because of his tendency to make movie figure heads too small).

There are some avenues, though, where I'm basically done with McFarlane. If Ivy has green skin for example or the Supergirl figures remain inferior to the B- World of Tomorrow version.  I can't imagine he debuts that much stuff at SDCC given he can't keep selling them after December 31.

Im pretty much done with the line.. just holding out for a single release plasticman, b&r bane (both rumored) and a proper super powers hawkman.

Definitely feels like theyre phoning it in even more than usual with the clock running out. I thought for sure last czarnian lobo was going to at least have a retooled version of the spiky haired head from the spacehog set with a new lip biting face (replicating the iconic bisley #1 cover). Instead of a straight repaint with a knife and a terribly underscaled space dolphin.

I never got that Mongul single release, and I've been wanting a regeneration suit Superman for a while, so I'm gonna try to get this. I do like this head sculpt, but I am curious about how the head from the overly huge Superman that came with Krypto will look

Can't wait for the preorders to sell out in minutes

Minutes? That '89 Joker won't last minutes on the major retailers.  People should be watching Gamestop and Best Buy as backups.

Dear god Black Canary won't even last 1 second...

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I wonder if they're gonna do her like Zatanna and make her nice looking face the rare collector's version or whatever it's called.  In which case I'd just have to ebay since I don't have the kind of luck that ever sees them anywhere else in time.

Although the pics released so far are too small to say if the regular is as bad as Zatanna was.  Though I'm sure the rare one's not gonna be another screaming face but more likely almost expressionless, which would still be really nice to have...

As with everyone else, I need to get that '89 Joker and BTAS Clock King is my jam, so will need to get him somehow, even if it's piecemeal on the secondary market. The rest just aren't doing anything for me and I'm more interested in seeing what Mattel's line is going to be like than yet another Batman marginal variation...
