Harley Quinn 1:10th Scale Statue From McFarlane Toys
rono replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
It would be nice if McFarlane would complete the build a statue of villains that needs two more characters, Mr Freeze & Deadshot. They were solicited before DC Direct folded up the first time, yet they have been ignored ever since. Todd sold off the Joker & Harley figures, but after that, nothing. -

Where's The Riddler from Arkham City? That was announced before Mr. Freeze. -
Is this the first action figure for Hugh Grant ever? I can't remember one ever being made.

McFarlane Toys - New Batman 66 Figures up for Preorder
rono replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
McFarlane has really hit it out of the park with this line. I believe the plans revealed so far for next year include the already shown King Tut, Two-Face ('66 comic book), Radioactive cowl (pink) Batman, Gas Mask Batman, Gas Mask Robin, & Batgirl ('66 comic book). There's another diorama of the Wayne Manor Library also in the works, plus a Batboat. I'm hoping we get Mad Hatter, Bookworm, & FalseFace action figures. Fingers crossed. I suspect we'll see an Alfred too, plus a couple of other Batman & Robin variants. We could get B&W Catwoman and Penguin, plus other villains they've already done with new heads like Eli Wallach Mr. Freeze & John Astin Riddler. Shame, Archer, Minstrel, Clock King, Siren, & Black Widow might be possibilities. -
Warner Brothers told Henry that Superman 2 was a go in October. He quit The Witcher based on this commitment. Two months later, they pull the rug out from underneath him publicly. What a disgraceful act. Cavill has been treated terribly by WB/DC. Somehow, WB will be writing a big check to Henry for a pay or play clause. Besides Nolan's Batman movies, the first Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Man of Steel, Shazam!, & Reeves' The Batman, all the other DC movies have been disappointing IMO. Suicide Squad 2 had its moments. Very sad turn of events.

McFarlane Toys - New Batman 66 Figures up for Preorder
rono replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
With King Tut & Two-Face on the way, I'm hoping McFarlane will be kind enough to make both Mad Hatter & Bookworm before they decide to shut the line down. -
Before they shut down the Batman '66 retro line, I hope we get Mad Hatter & Bookworm. The radioactive Batman figure is from one of the Mad Hatter episodes. This line could go on for a couple of more years with other villains like Shame, Archer, Minstrel, Siren, Black Widow, False Face, & Clock King. McFarlane could do an Eli Wallach Mr. Freeze using the Otto Preminger Mr. Freeze and swapping it out with a new Eli Wallach head.

DC Direct BTAS/TNBA 5" Talon & Hush were shown three years ago at NY Comic Con. Prototype of Talon was on display. The least Todd could do is make this figure. I could cobble together a new BTAS/TNBA-style Hush, Punchline, Deadshot, KGBeast, Clock King, & Black Mask figures with minor tooling of previous figures in this line. Hey Tood, contact me and I'll show you how easy it can be. You'll sell a ton of them.

McFarlane Toys - DC Multiverse Infinite Frontier Joker

Two-Face would be nice. Poison Ivy & Punchline would be great too. Let's hope Todd gets over his anti-female stance on figures. -
DC Multiverse 7" Knightfall Catwoman From McFarlane Toys
rono replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Hopefully, we'll get a Poison Ivy, Talia al Ghul, & Punchline sometime in the future. I know Todd is not a big supporter of female action figures, but they would certainly be well received, IMO. I also think he needs to do Two-Face, Mad Hatter, & Ventriloquist w/ Scarface as well. -
Kevin Conroy, Beloved Voice Of Batman, Passes Away At Age 66
rono replied to JayC's topic in Entertainment News
A great talent that will entertain for generations to come. A true loss for all Batman fans. -
I'm hopeful that with the pink radioactive Batman figure being released, McFarlane will release a Mad Hatter figure since that is the villain that was in the episodes that the pink cowl appeared. I also will keep my fingers crossed for a Bookworm figure. Don't know if False Face, Shame, Siren, or other villains are in the mix. I'd think Alfred in his regular suit will eventually get released. Maybe an Eli Wallach Mr. Freeze figure has a shot since that would just be a head swap like the Julie Newmar & Eartha Kitt Catwoman figure bodies were identical.

HBO Max Developing 'The Batman' Spinoff Series About 'The Penguin'
rono replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
When this series was initially proposed, there was mention that other members of Batman's rogues' gallery would be featured. I had to think that Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Bane, Mr. Freeze, & The Ventriloquist w/ Scarface might be in that potential line up. So far, nothing. I know that Mr. Freeze has been discussed as the primary villain in the next BATMAN movie, but nothing else. I guess we'll see what develops.- 13 replies

McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Arkham City Build a Grundy Wave Review
rono replied to BradDCUGeek's topic in Toy Reviews
Just got this wave today and actually took them out of their packaging and will display them. I added the Joker & Deadshot figures from earlier waves that fit right in with these figures. I read that we should expect a Riddler figure next year too. Would love to see Harley, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, & Mad Hatter as well. I think this is one of McFarlane's best efforts since he got the DC license.- 2 replies

McFarlane Toys DC Direct Batman the Animated Series 4-Pack
rono replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Hope this is an indication that McFarlane plans on keeping this line alive. Hope they eventually make the Talon figure that was shown three years ago at the NYCC by DC Direct. I know a lot of fans have lists of unmade villains in the DC Direct 6" BTAS/TNBA style like TNBA Penguin, Maxie Zeus, Black Mask from the BTAS comics, Lock Up, Clock King, Deadshot from JLU, and Hugo Strange. -
Warner Bros. Discovery Cancels Their 'DC Fandome 2022'
rono replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
The so-called leadership of Warner Brothers Discovery appear to have a large disconnect with the DC fanbase. They don't have a clue as to how to reach these fans. Their missteps as of late have been detrimental to the franchise. Oh well, I guess they'll learn the hard way. -
New Bruce Timm Batman Animated Series Coming To HBO Max
rono replied to JayC's topic in Entertainment News
I don't expect to ever see this in the light of day. It is highly doubtful that Netflix, Apple TV+, or Prime pick this show up. Warner Brothers Discovery is going to squander all good will with the DC fanbase. Very short sighted decision making by WBD. -

So how about a Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, & Punchline? A little estrogen won't hurt one bit. Then Wonder Woman, Batgirl, & Super Girl. -
New TRU Megastore Coming To NJ Later This Month?!?
rono replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Hard to believe that Toys R Us is only in Houston & El Paso Macy's stores in Texas. Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, & San Antonio are such large markets, it seems they are missing their mark in opportunities. Very odd.
