  1. Collectors can be manipulated, but not to the point of being exploited. Todd puts out some terrific figures, but all of these lame variants are really off putting to a significant number of collectors. It's a blatant money grab, which I'm sure Todd needs because paid a lot for DC's licensing rights. Now they have DC Direct, which they haven't even addressed other than releasing some things that were in the pipeline and left overs that had not been sold yet. I'm waiting to see if Todd will continue DC Direct's Batman Animated Adventures' 6" line, which collectors love. Several figures were in the pipeline including Batman Who Laughs, Talon, Hush, Thomas Wayne, Vampire Batman, & unmasked Catwoman.
  2. So now you pay a premium to buy unpainted figures? This is pure insanity. No thanks.
  3. These figures are a bit forgettable to me, but then the main figures are Batman, Riddler, Penguin, & Catwoman in full costume. Everything else is just a money grab. I'm expecting an unmasked Riddler at some point, plus Alfred, Gordon, & maybe the big surprise villain that is rumored to make an appearance late in the movie.
  4. You can only buy one. If you buy two, Target will cancel the second purchase. FYI. Limit one per customer unless you can purchase as another person.
  5. Typical Target, went to site at 7:59 AM CST through the signed link and there was no buy button to click. Then went to the unsigned link and that was sold out, did it again at 8 AM, then 8:01 AM, then 8:02 AM, etc. Same garbage. Total rip off. Thanks Target. Thanks Todd.
  6. I got up early and purchased this figure from Target and then had it cancelled after repeated emails to reconfirm that I wanted to buy it. If Target isn't going to sell it to me, just cancel it and get if over with. Target has mishandled the distribution of the McFarlane exclusives badly. They have actually exceeded Walmart in screwing up. Enough already.
  7. I had a hunch the snowball was gaining momentum to cancel the Toy Fair again. Sad to see this because so many folks & businesses will be hurt due to this decision. I suspect we'll see a lot of the new 2022 merchandise online from Hasbro, Mattel, McFarlane, SpinMaster, and so many other companies. I always enjoyed seeing the surprises and unexpected toys that made Toy Fair so much fun for collectors. Oh well, maybe we'll see it finally return in 2023. Let's all hope so.
  8. Why can't Todd produce 6" BTAS/TNBA figures in the scale & style of the highly successful DC DIRECT line? Didn't he recently get the rights to produce & distribute the DC Direct merchandise? DC had already released prototypes of Batman Who Laughs, Talon, Thomas Wayne, & Vampire Batman. Additionally, Hush was also in the pipeline. We all know that TNBA Penguin, Lock Up, Hugo Strange, Maxie Zeus, & Clock King have been clamored for by fans before DC shut down their in-house merchandise company. So many other villains like Deadshot, Copperhead, Gentleman Ghost, & KGBeast, plus Black Mask & Black Spider were made by Mattel or discussed as potential figures. I know there are myriad of potential versions of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Gordon, and other supporting characters from BTAS/TNBA/JLU. This is a goldmine for the taking. Come on Todd. The fans really want this.
  9. I'd like to think Todd will hire some of the sculptors from previous DC Direct suppliers. I hope he reinstates the BTAS/TNBA 6" action figure line. So many characters can still be made in the animated-style. Batman Who Laughs, Talon, & Hush were already in the pipeline when DC shut DC Direct down. I know they'd be big sellers on the specialty market & in comic book stores. The could certainly go mass retail too. Batman Animated is popular to this very day.
  10. So we start out with Batman, Robin, Joker, & Riddler. Wonder if Catwoman & Penguin will follow to round out the main villains. Would love to see Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter, Egghead, King Tut, & Bookworm in there as well. I guess that's too much to ask for.
  11. Why no Penguin? Loved his look in the trailer & some of the stills taken on the set.
  12. Will they do Penguin, Riddler, & Catwoman too? I'd love to see Mad Hatter, King Tut, Bookworm, Mr. Freeze, & Egghead, along with Batgirl. Just wondering if Todd has the guts to follow through with more characters than Mattel did.
  13. If I had that in my house, I'd never sleep. Beyond creepy. No thanks.
  14. Walmart solicited orders for Dark Metal Red Batman figure earlier this week. Once it was ordered, a confirming email was sent with instructions on where to pick it up. Then, they sent out mass cancellation emails. They said they run out of the figure at stores. Well, I don't think they ever had any of them in the first place. Walmart is a flop for exclusive McFarlane figures. What a pathetic joke. I'll never trust them.
  15. So sad to see AT&T gut DC Comics & shutter DC Direct. Warner Media is just doing the bidding of the new owner's directions. Having worked in media for my entire career, I've witnessed these kind of bloodbaths and the subsequent fallout from what is left behind. Tragic for so many talented people at the company. AT&T hasn't a clue about DC as a source of IP's for Warner Brothers' movies & TV/Streaming/Internet entertainment platforms. Disney recognizes the value of Marvel, AT&T obviously doesn't. The rumors of AT&T ending publishing of weekly comics would be beyond stupid, but these big companies have little finesse with the arts & entertainment industry. I'd be surprised to see any merchandise from DC Direct if it wasn't already in the manufacturing pipeline. That product announced for late 2020 & later release is lost unless a third party steps in and takes over specific lines like statues & toys. I'd expect McFarlane Toys has a green light to run with all DC action figures now. If I were Todd, I'd announce that McFarlane will continue to make Batman Animated action figures in the 6" size & style of the original. The fans would would be ecstatically happy. I'd also show a new Punchline action figure too. This would show that there is a future for DC characters going forward. I don't have a clue as to who would take over the statue line. Gentle Giant? DC had a good reputation in this area until the famous Batman VS Harley Quinn Battle statue debacle. The Batman Villains diorama will be incomplete without the Mr.Freeze & Deadshot statues missing. I hope that can be salvaged, but who knows? A very sad time for DC Comics' fans. The horror of 2020 continues.
  16. BTAS/TNBA has a huge following. Some of these figures are incredibly expensive on the secondary market. Why not finish the line with some important villains that have yet to made? TNBA Penguin, Dr. Hugo Strange, Maxie Zeus, Lock Up, & Clock King would make a terrific multi-pack, series of multi-packs, or sell as single figures. Then if they want to continue the line extension, go for JLU characters like Deadshot, Gentleman Ghost, KG Beast, Psycho Pirate, Solomon Grundy, or Batman Adventures' Black Mask all in Bruce Timm-style. There's no reason to let the line expire. Maybe Todd McFarlane's toy company can do some of these figures.
  17. Can we please get some of the villains from the BTAS/TBNA/JLU that havent' been made yet? TNBA Penguin, Lock Up, Maxie Zeus, Clock King, Deadshot, Hugo Strange, Gentleman Ghost, KG Beast, & Black Mask? These would sell like hotcakes. Please DC Collectibles, the fans want these.
