  1. I don't think Todd has ever looked at chase figures and rare variants as something that helps him financially. He thinks they're fun. Back when gas cost $1/gallon and Spawn figures cost $10, and there were Spencer's Gifts and Suncoast stores at almost every mall and FYE even Walgreens carried those figures, it kinda was. Things are very different now, but nobody's ever accused Todd of changing with the times. Now that **** is pretty much just fun for him.
  2. Feel free to watch it again. It's on Youtube. The eye holes in the helmet were completely empty. He put it on and suddenly he had human eyes. There was no human mask in between.
  3. I can totally respect that. The comics (all eras of the comics) need more love in Classified. I like the reptilian eyes a lot myself, and even as a kid, thought it incredibly weird (and still do) when he put the helmet on in the "Operation Dragonfire" miniseries and immediately had human eyes and human skin around them.
  4. The Ceti eel is the obvious choice, yeah. DST did that. I would do that if I were Brian Wolk Weiss. Obviously the Genesis device would probably be best with him, but that scene with the baby eels is so iconic, and not giving him the terrarium, the mother eel, a forceps with a baby eel gripped on the end would be so wrong.
  5. I'm still kinda amazed that they gave Valkris the (entire) Genesis device. Data is intangible, so I guess she'd have practically no accessories otherwise. Still, I think it would make more sense packed in with Carol or David Marcus.
  6. Cobra Commander uses the Dragonfire/pythonizer ray to merge Serpentor with Gnawgahyde's iguana, who then keeps him as a pet. There's a line about it wearing off eventually. I don't recall them ever getting back to this.
  7. Tuvix is the subject of thousands of memes across myriad Star Trek groups on Facebook. There were so many Tuvix memes in my Star Trek S***posting group, the admins banned them. He's not even remotely unpopular. The only thing bizarre about that figure is that it's coming out before Tuvok and Neelix. The rest, I'll give ya.
  8. Nacelle didn't get the license to make any of the Paramount Plus stuff.
  9. Definitely a different prototype on display than the one in the slide show an official photography. An earlier one, most likely.
  10. For me, Ensign Nog is a must-get. I wish these were available somewhere besides Nacelle Shop (note that only wave one is available for preorder at the moment). I don't mind giving them money directly, but shipping is a bit too high for my tastes.
  11. For those of you who don't speak German, "Zoll" is customs.
  12. Not so sure about that Laszlo. The rest look excellent.
  13. I'm gonna say this one time, because not everyone knows or remembers: It has long been a rule on this forum that political discussion is to be avoided. I don't disagree with Steven3's sentiment, but that's precisely the kind of thing we don't want here. It may simply be too difficult to discuss this situation without getting political, but I'm going to give everyone a chance, and we'll see. If more political comments are posted, this thread will be shut down.
