  1. It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Sohei Obi-Wan Kenobi figure from the Star Wars Meisho Movie Realization line from Bandai! Finally, a Jedi! For the first time since the birth of the Meisho Movie Realization line in 2014, we now have a Jedi! I completely understand that the armors and look of the Empire, Mandalorian or Droid characters do tend to look better with a samurai touch, but it's nice to finally see a Jedi in that line. Star Wars Celebration 2025 took place in Japan last weekend, and this figure arrived last week, so I figured it would be the perfect time for it. Sohei Obi-Wan Kenobi comes with 6 pairs of hands, a gigantic straw hat, a removable cloak, a lightsaber hilt + blue katana blade, a blaster, an origami version of the T-16 ship (the one he gave Luke in the Disney+ series), and a diorama display base, similar to the one the previous Dart Vader had with the rocks floating in the air. When I first saw the pictures, I was not super convinced by the unmasked head, but it looks way better in person. Also, the look with the gigantic straw hat is pretty awesome, so now I don't know how to put it in my display... 'Sohei' means soldier-monk, which is pretty spot-on for a Jedi, and the outfit they put on that figure looks great, even if the big sleeves tend to hinder the articulations of the arms and wrists. He can't hold the lightsaber with 2 hands, sadly, BUT... they gave him the 'peace sign' hand to hit his signature pose, which is pretty awesome. No idea what the future holds for the Meisho Movie Realization line, since they have announced 3 or 4 figures over the last few years that never came out, while unannounced figures (like this Obi-Wan) just jumped to the front of the line and were released. I would still love to see the Admiral Ackbar, Gamorrean Guard or IG-11 that they have shown at conventions years ago come out, but right now, there is nothing available for pre-order for what's next. Hopefully, this wasn't the last one! Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope... More news at 11:00... Hello there!
