  7. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Batman Forever one sixth scale figures from Hot Toys. These are figures that we weren't sure would ever actually come out, but Hot Toys actually put them up for pre-order back in February 2021, so there was hope! And now, they are here! Yay... not? Both packaging are really nice and quite colorful, just like the movie was. It has a sleeve with a picture of the figure on the front and all the legalities in the back. Under the sleeve, you can see the figure through a window (although both figures are covered with protective plastic so you can't see them very well...). First off, Batman, as portrayed by Val Kilmer in 1995, in his Sonar Suit which he wears at the end of the movie, after the Riddler (played by Jim Carrey) destroyed the Batcave. Batman (Sonar Suit) comes with a ton of accessories. He has 7 extra hands, 2 versions of his batarang (open and closed), a grapnel launcher with a wire that can be attached to it, the batarang blade weapon that can attach to his hand, the underwater thruster from the movie, and a stand. His eyes can individually move (they are on a plate inside the cowl), and an extra set of 'sonar' eyes is also included, as well as the tool to change/move the eyes. As it happened before with Hot Toys Batman figures, the figure is an articulated body covered by a quite thick rubber suit, which completely hinders articulations. You can bend the arms and legs a little, but when you do, the suit bunches up and it does not look great. Leaving that figure in any other position than the infamous "Museum pose" will not look great and probably damage the suit after some time... Yay... Unfortunately, the peg hole under the head arrived broken on mine, so I cannot change the eyes. I am currently waiting for a replacement part. As gorgeous as it looks, this figure has been a bit of a let down. Robin also looks great, but is unfortunately not better. The suit is the same way as the Batman figure, thick rubber, so he can't move much. Those are more like statues with a little bit of articulation, basically. Robin also comes with only 4 extra hands and no other accessories. No PERS (moving eyes) feature. To add insult to injury, he costs the same as the Batman figure. I also believe that the red is the wrong shade of red. It seemed a lot darker in the movie... And what's up with that bulge?! Once again, they look beautiful, and I'll admit that I've been catching myself staring at them in the Detolf, and thinking 'Man, those look awesome', but you can't really pose them or do anything with them. Those are expensive figures that only a completist who has all the other Hot Toys Batman figures would get... so I did. More news at 11:00... Babyyyy! I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey...
  8. During the Battle of Hoth in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker piloted a Snowspeeder, led the Rebel Alliance against the Empire’s ground forces, and instructed the other snowspeeder pilots to use their harpoons and cables to aim for the legs in an attempt to take down the massive Imperial AT-AT walkers in order to give the Rebels enough time to evacuate the snow planet. In celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Hot Toys is excited to introduce a series of collectibles based on this iconic film! Now, Hot Toys is delighted to officially present the 1/6th scale collectible figure of Luke Skywalker in his flight suit and helmet that he wore on Hoth, as the latest release of The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary Collection! The highly-accurate Luke Skywalker collectible figure is expertly crafted based on his appearance in the movie, features a head sculpt with newly sculpted hair sculpture, finely tailored Snowspeeder outfit and life support unit on chest, a LED light-up lightsaber, an interchangeable lightsaber blade emulating the weapon in motion, a highly-detailed flight helmet, a grappling gun, a blaster, a thermal detonator, a snow-themed diorama set-up with a figure stand all in the specially designed retro style packaging!
  9. Hello, your KA ZAR: THE SAVAGE LAND pics are awesome. Thank you for sharing. 👍

  10. During the assault of B’omarr Monastery, Anakin Skywalker begins the difficult ascent up the sheer cliff with battle droids firing down on him, and droid-piloted STAP's racing into combat, laser cannons blasting. Casualties are mounting, so Anakin makes a daring move. He leaps into the air to take command of a STAP and disposes of battle droids with his lightsaber, clearing a path to the summit. Today Hot Toys is very excited to recreate the exciting scene with the highly anticipated 1/6th scale Anakin Skywalker and STAP collectible set from Star Wars: The Clone Wars! The highly-detailed collectible figure is specially crafted based on the debut appearance of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animation series, featuring a skillfully crafted head sculpt, meticulously tailored costume and a set of beautifully designed armor guards for alternative styles. His signature LED light-up lightsaber, a number of interchangeable hands, a thermal detonator, a hologram projector and several hologram figures representing Ahsoka Tano™, Yoda, and Obi Wan Kenobi round out the set so you can take on the droid armies. Embodying extraordinary workmanship and remarkable high quality details, the 1/6th scale STAP measuring at approximately 32cm in height, features phenomenal paint application on the precise mechanical design with specially applied weathering effects, drive turbines with LED light-up function, articulated grip, foot pedals, steering vane, and a specially designed figure stand. A Special Edition available in select markets will include a grey colored poncho with weathering effects as bonus item exclusively for collectors. You can also just get Anakin without the STAP.
  11. Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female, was the Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker and a hero of the Clone Wars. Alongside Anakin, she grew from headstrong student into a mature leader. But her destiny laid along a different path than the Jedi… Hot Toys is pleased to further expand its Star Wars: The Clone Wars collectible series by introducing a dynamic interpretation in 1/6th scale of the beloved character Ahsoka Tano representing her appearance in the final season of the acclaimed series! The greatly detailed collectible figure is specially crafted with authentic styling featuring a skillfully crafted head sculpt with stunning likeness and articulated head-tails, specialized body to portray Ahsoka’s physique, finely tailored outfit and armor pieces, Ahsoka’s iconic lightsabers, a cloak, and a display base!
  12. No, your eyes are not deceiving you, do not adjust your screen. In the last week, another temporal anomaly occured and several toy companies are announcing toys that already came out (or should have) over 20 years ago. Now, get in the Delorean and let ToyFarce investigate for you! In the recent years, it is no secret that "Nostalgia" has been a goldmine for all our favorite toy brands. With the TMNT, Ghostbusters, G.I. Joes, Power Rangers Lightning Collection and "retro style" Marvel Legends figures regularly hitting our shelves, it's pretty clear that there is a demand for the toys of our childhood, now that we all are adults with disposeable income. This past week, Playmates has announced the return of the Star Trek 5-inch figures. Many of us remember that line with fond memories, such as "why are they so small?" or "they don't fit with any other line!", but since we were children back then, it didn't matter and we would gladly play with them anyway. Good times. Hot Toys announced the first of the villains from Spider-man: No Way Home (a movie that also relied heavily on nostalgia), the Green Goblin. Now, that is definitely a figure that should have come out about 22 years ago, when the first Spider-man movie was out, but back then, Hot Toys was too busy making bootleg Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves and George Lucas figures. Finally, after resurrecting the line in 2017 and killing it again in 2019, Mattel has decided to bring the WWE retro line back...again in 2022. The first WWE retro wave was exclusive to Mattel Creations and sold out in 5 hours on the website. Get on it before they cancel it again! Oh yeah, we're also going to get Indiana Jones figures from Hasbro! What other line from the past would you love to see brought back to life? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... or whenever 11:00 is! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  13. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the brand new Arkham Knight Batgirl one sixth scale figure from Hot Toys. Like mentioned in the Harley Quinn review from 2 weeks ago, Hot Toys decided to release both figures really close to each other in order to make sure that you don't start the year thinking you will be able to save some money. Harley was pretty great, so how does Batgirl fare? Sober box art, as all the other Arkham Knight figures. Barbara comes in her Arkham Knight suit (you don't say?!) along with 8 extra hands, an additional mouth plate to give her an ever so slightly different expression, 2 batarangs, a grapnel gun with 2 different batclaws (rope or no rope), and a remote hacking device, with 'hologram' screen. The body of the figure is a mix of both seamless and normal articulations. The top part is seamless, the costume is just molded on the rubber and the shoulders, arms and abs move just like a seamless figure (hinged), and then, we can see the leg articulations. Weird choice, but seamless legs with that suit would have been tricky, so it's understandable. She has "real" hair which is always kinda meh to me. I can never really style the Barbie doll hair nicely, but people who know what they are doing might get something nice out of it. The cape is just like on the Arkham Knight Batman figure: a total mess. It has wires in it (seven of them), and it looks pretty bad when you look at the back of the figure, but can look great for pictures and poses from the front. The 2 mouth plates go from "resting b**** face" to "slightly smirking". At first, I thought I got the same plate twice, but it turns out there is a very minimal difference. Arkham Knight Batgirl is an otherwise good figure, looks great, and that cape with the yellow inside is definitely eye-catching (from the front). Tons of fun poses for Barbara Gordon, who miraculously managed to stand up from her wheelchair from one chapter of the game to another (The figure is based on the DLC "A Matter of Family", which happens in the past). More news at 11:00... "Joker's got my father!"
  14. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the brand new Arkham Knight Harley Quinn one sixth scale figure from Hot Toys. Hot Toys has kept releasing and announcing high quality one sixth scale figures throughout 2021, but it was mostly Marvel and Star Wars stuff... until in the last few days of 2022, when the 2 previously announced Arkham Knight figures of Harley Quinn and Batgirl both came out within a few days of each other. Thanks, Hot Toys, I hated having money on my account anyway... The box art is reminescent of the other Arkham Knight figures (Batman and the Arkham Knight himself), with some art of the character in the front, and... not much else. Harley comes in her Arkham Knight costume (duh), along with multiple accessories: extra hands, her giant mallet, a baseball bat, an articulated Jack-in-the-box and, surprisingly, a gun and an assault rifle complete with pink dices and a photo of her Mistah J. It's a bit disappointing that the figure comes with only one headsculpt/facial expression, especially since it's so incredibly bland. A character like Harley deserves at least a laughing head, or even a "screaming maniacally as she bashes your brains out with her giant mallet" expression. Because of that one bland expression, it kinda limits the figure in terms of poses. Having her wielding her baseball bat, mallet or machine gun with such a basic expression could have looked better. Also, the arms are seamless, and parts of the costume are made with some kind of pleather (leggings, arm bracers), which looks like it's not going to be durable, and bending the legs or arms of the figure will definitely leave some sort of mark or 'crease' in the long term, as is tradition with Hot Toys. Use with caution, even though it's a toy, and you should still pose it however you want. (...bUt ThE ReSaLe VaLuE!?). Here she is, finally reunited with her Mistah J! Batgirl should arrive in the next few days, so another Hot Toys DC figure review should be coming soon. More news at 11:00... "How's it going, Bat-brain? It´s been a while!"
