  1. NECA has released new images for their upcoming Target exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Traag and Granitor 2-Pack which will be the first 2-pack released for wave 4 in October. Looks like NECA will be doing the staggered releases for the wave like they did with previous one. No word yet on the specific release date yet. The other 2-packs slated for wave 4 include Splinter & Baxter Stockman and Roadkill Rodney & Triceraton-Soldier .

  3. he folks at Fwoosh sat down with Super7's Brian Flynn where he where he talked about various products including Ultimates ThunderCats and TMNT figures. Highlights from the interview include the following: ThunderCats have been planned out so far through wave 7 with 4 waves coming 2021. Brian stated the primary source material used for these figures is the classic cartoon and not the vintage toy line. Wave 2 are the last figures being made at the original factory Mattel used for the line. Starting with Wave 3 they have gone back to their own factories for ThunderCats. The wave 2 figures because of the Mattel factory, is likely going to see their release delayed until after the Chinese New Year, which takes place in February. Wave 3 however should see release a month later followed by wave 4 a month after that. Due to the delay of wave 2, there is a possibility they will do something special as an apology for the delay. Wave 5 won't be revealed until wave 2 ships. The 1st wave of TMNT Ultimates figures will almost definitely be re-issued with minor alterations, so folks who missed out on the initial release can still get them at a reasonable cost. The minor alteration will likely be something like a slight variation to the weapons rack colors. Wave 2 should ship out from the factory in October/November. Wave 3 will ship out from the factory after the Chinese New Year in March. The April O'Neil headsculpt has been drastically changed since the images we saw. It will have a much more cartoon feel to it. There will also be an alternate head with headphones on. They will be incorporating variant Turtles in the line. Wave 4 will be revealed and go up for pre-order in October. A Ultimates Usagi Yojimbo figure will be coming in 2021. Like ThunderCats, they have already planned out TMNT through wave 7. For their Disney Ultimates line they are looking to do straight up plain Disney characters right now like a standard Mickey Mouse. They are looking to do more off the beaten path characters. By the time they get to wave 6 and 7 Brian feels like you will be able to see a pattern of what they are trying to accomplish with the line. Robin Hood will be in wave 2 which will be shown in January. They have 4 waves planned for 2021.
  4. NECA has put up for pre-order on their NECA STORE website two of the Target store exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animates Series 2-packs. For those who have yet to find these at Target stores, you now have between now and next Friday(9/04) at 11AM EST to pre-order the Rocksteady And Bebop set and/or the Slash And Leatherhead set. Each set will cost $51.99 each plus shipping and handling. These are being done as made-to-order products so you won't have to worry about them selling out. You do have to pay upfront and are limiting these at two per person. They have not yet said when these pre-orders will start shipping out to folks.
  5. For what I believe is NECA's final reveal of the day, they released this teaser images for what appears to be a figure set based on the Spinter's origin story in the 90's TMNT movie. The figures are of Splinters master Hamato Yoshi, Oroku Saki (Shredder before he was Shredder) and a rat in a cage named Spliter before he was transformed. You can see a clip from the movie with the scene here: This will likely be a Walmart exclusive but no other details are available at this time.
  6. NECA announced today that they are looking to offer some of their 90's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie 2-packs on their own NECA store website for both US and International customers this Thursday (7/16). Previously they had said these would only be available at physical Walmart stores. Also the first TMNT wave 3 Animated 2-pack to be released at Target stores will be the one with the Casey Jones & Foot Soldier figures. The official release date for both online and physical stores is this Friday (7/17), but we are seeing reports of folks already starting to find them in stores. The release dates for the other 2-packs in wave 3 are 8/6 and 8/20. We don't yet know which set will be released on which date. Here is the place holder link for the Casey and Foot Soldier set: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 7" Scale Action Figure - Cartoon Series 3 Casey Jones & Foot Soldier. The deluxe animated series Metalhead figure is also slated to hit shelves and online this Friday at Target. We do not have a placeholder link for that one to share at this time.
  7. Funko has revealed new Retro Toys POP! Vinyl figures including ones based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Check out images below.
  8. NECA has released new images for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret Of The Ooze Deluxe Super Shredder figure as well as online purchase details. In the US the figure is being released as a Walmart exclusive, however for online purchases you will be able to buy it through the NECA Store website. Starting on August 10th at 1pm EST, a limited quantity of this figure will be made available to the US and International customers in 20+ countries. All orders will be limited to 1 per person. While the exact quantities of this figure being released have not been made public, NECA insists that the quantities have been significantly increased from previous TMNT Movie offerings from Walmart. The figure will also be sold in physical Walmart stores around the same time, though we don't yet have an exact date for when they might start showing up there. Walmart# 579002900, SKU# 269034699, UPC# 634482541289. The figure at Walmart should cost $30, however it is unknown if the price through the NECA store will be the same or if it will be raised some. With some of NECA's other recent Walmart offerings, we've seen the online price be a bit higher than the in-store one. In other related NECA TMNT news, NECA has recently indicated on their social media that if all goes well, folks will have an opportunity to pre-order the Target Exclusive TMNT Animated Series Deluxe Metalhead figure when it gets restocked soon. While this doesn't seemingly appear to be something completely set in stone yet, it does appear NECA is continuing to at least try and make some of this stuff easier to get. It's unknown at this time if NECA plans to take these pre-order on their own website or if this will be offered through the Target website. Hopefully it will be something offered through NECA's website as its a little more prepared against Scalper Bots than Target's own website is. As more details on this become available, we will be sure to pass them on to you.
  9. NECA today along with Judith Hoag who played the character April O' Neil in the original 90's TMNT movie announced that a new April O' Neil figure featuring the actresses likeness would be coming. The figure like the recent Tokka & Rahzar 2-Pack will be put up for pre-order and be done made to order so you won't have to worry about it selling out. Specific details about the pre-order will come at a later date. Look for Judith to post production stages of the figure on her own YouTube in the coming days. With a April O' Neil figure in the works, could an unmasked Casey Jones figure be far behind? Actor Elias Koteas who played Casey recently indicated on social media that he was now open to the idea of having his likeness featured on a Casey Jones action figure. NECA had originally sculpted an unmasked head for Casey, but was unable to include it with the recently released 2-pack because they had not been able to secure the likeness rights. Seems like an April and Unmasked Casey 2-Pack could be the way to go, what do you think? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  10. Looks like Playmates Toys is throwing it's hat back into the collector area for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with these new Elite Series 6" figures. The figures are based on their original Mirage looks and are said to have 34 Points of articulation. These are being offered through Diamond Distributor which means they will be available at most major comic and specialty shops. This isn't the first time Playmates has made collector oriented TMNT Turtle figures, and while they might not be praised as much as the NECA stuff, they will likely be much easier to get. The real question in my mind is whether or not Playmates will do more than just the turtles with these. Time will tell I guess. These figures are available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Am I the only one who see the irony of the "Collector Specific" company doing figures for the big box retailers like Walmart and Target while the company known for making their products for kids is releasing their figures through the collector and specially market retailers? Shouldn't it really be the other way around???
  11. NECA today has announced that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie 7" Scale Tokka & Rahzar 2-Pack will no long be sold at Walmart like was originally said. Now the figure will go up for pre-order on NECA's own online store stating this Friday 7/31 to Friday(8/7). Customers in the US and over 20 international countries will have 1 week to place their pre-order. The set will cost $70 and is said to start shipping out in 3 month (November). They will be limited 2 per household and will be done as a made to order item. Which means the pre-order isn't going to sell out during the week it's up. Now once the week is over, that is it. According to NECA this will be the only way to acquire the Tokka & Rahzar 2 Pack! The Deluxe Super Shredder figure will also be available online through NECA's website shortly after the Tokka & Rahzar 2 Pack sale ends. Shredder which will also be available at physical Walmart stores WON'T be done as a pre-order, so it can sell out. They have said that they did significantly increase quantities for both online and physical store sales on Shredder, so hopefully it won't be as hard to find as other stuff. NECA to there credit has also taken steps on their own website to try and slow down the scalper bots. For more details on all this be sure to check out Pixel Dan's recent interview with NECA's Randy Falk. Check out new images for Tokka & Rahzar below.
  12. We don't know if you will ever actually be able to find these on shelves, but NECA has revealed new images for their upcoming Target exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series Krang With Android Body which will be a deluxe figure released in the 3rd quarter of 2020. Also shown for the first time is their upcoming Mondo Gecko which will be in wave 5. Wave 5 should be out by the end of the year or early next year. Krang will be out in September Images for Muckman, Joe Eyeball will be joinung Mondo Gecko and Vernon added. Also added is the Rat King which will join Vernon in 2021.
  13. NECA slipped out one more product reveal this evening showing off a prototype for their upcoming TMNT Video Game Baxter Stockman figure which they do say will have a huge mutated hand and is completely different from the toon version. They also say it will be 50% larger than the toon version. They also issued a statement in regards to recent events with so many people having problems getting their hands on their TMNT products from Target, Walmart and even their own online store. Read on for more:
  14. NECA gave a number of updates today on their Twitter account on upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles products. Of note they stated the upcoming Walmart exclusive 90's TMNT Movie Turtle 2-packs will not be available on the Walmart website. You will have to go into the physical stores to try and find them. Some have noted that actor Elias Koteas who played Casey Jones in the 90's movies has publicly stated on Twitter that he is now open to having his likeness featured on an action figure. Randy Falk has previously stated that they actually sculpted an unmasked headsculpt for the Casey Jones movie figure featured in the current two pack, but could not use it due to likeness rights. NECA today acknowledged that they were aware of Koteas change of heart about the use of his likeness, but a deal between the two parties had yet to be struck. They are hopeful it will happen and that we could see a unmasked figure released at some point. Doesn't look like there will be any NYCC exclusives offered this year, especially if the convention is canceled. For the wave 3 Target Exclusive 2-packs. It looks like they won't be releasing all three two packs at the same time. Previously NECA had given three different release dates for wave 3 (7/16, 8/6, 8/20), and it looks like they will be staggering the release of the three 2-packs in the wave during those dates for both online and in store. The video game based versions of the Rock Soldiers are in question. NECA stated their fate is to be determined and they will be releasing the comic versions first. The 2020 TMNT SDCC Exclusive set announced earlier today will only be made available here in the US on the Target website and physical stores. NECA's other SDCC exclusives for this year will be sold at Walmart stores and on the NECA website. They plan to release links to the Target website for the TMNT SDCC exclusive set the day they go on sale. The Raph/Casey 2-packs are still shipping to Walmart stores and they haven't even released half of their inventory yet. Some of the other TMNT Walmart 2-packs MAY have their online orders handled by NECA directly. They are working on hammering out those details and things have yet to be determined. NECA also gave a cryptic answer about how the Tokka & Rahza 2-Pack might be released. An announcement for the release of their Toon based diorama seen at Toy Fair is expected to be made during their online SDCC reveals. NECA stated we could possibly see more Mirage based TMNT figures in the future.
  15. From Super7, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining the ReAction retro figure line. Based on the classic animated series, each TMNT ReAction figure stands 3.75 inches tall and features five points of articulation. Wave three includes figures of Space Cadet Raphael, Undercover Donatello, Baxter Stockman, April O'Neil, Splinter and Krang. You can pre-order these from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  16. Looks for more details later today
  17. Following the recent announcements for G.I. Joe and Transformers statues, Pop Culture Shock is now expanding their line to include TMNT. Inspired by the classic animated TV show, Pop Culture Shock Collectibles is proud to present the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1:8 Scale Statue collection! Made of PVC, each turtle includes a rooftop base for easy display. Collect Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, all sold separately. You can pre-order these at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  18. After last week's debacle with their Walmart exclusive TMNT Movie Casey Jones and Raphael In Disguise 2-pack sale, NECA has said they have heard the feedback from you and are actively working to improve things. Expect news in the coming weeks regarding our SDCC offerings and future TMNT availability online. They have also put out this phase 1 release schedule for both their TMNT Target and Walmart products for in stores and online. Cartoon Target Exclusive -Wave 3 - 7/16, 8/6, 8/20 -Metalhead - 7/16 -Bebop And Rocksteady Restock - 9/3 SDCC Exclusive Items (Target Exclusive) -Exclusive Figure Boxed Set - 7/23 -Exclusive Merchandise Bundle - 7/23 Movie Walmart Exclusive -Casey & Raphel In Disq - 6/29 -Leonardo/Donatello - 7/6 -Michelangelo and Raphael - 7/6 -Super Shredder - 8/10 Arcade (Specialty Exclusives) -Wave 2 - 7/14 While it's nice to have these release dates, the real fix for the problems collectors have had finding these items, is making sure the stores are stocking them in sufficient enough numbers. If the product is made readily available, then the scalpers won't buy them all up to try and resale them on the secondary market, because the demand will no longer be there for that. In other words they have to start shipping enough so they don't sell out in seconds, or require someone having to be there the moment they are put on shelves in order to get them. As much as we hope NECA is successful in accomplishing that, at this point we will believe it when we see it.
  19. Deadline reports that a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG movie reboot is in the works for thw big screen from Seth Rogen's Point Grey Pictures. This is the second time the Turtles have gotten the CG treatment on the big screen. The last time was from Warner Bros. back in 2007.
  20. Funko has begun the process of revealing their many 2020 San Diego Comic Con exclusive products for this year. Most will be shared with various retailers and be available on the Funko Shop website. Check out all the ones that have been revealed so far and we will update this story as more are shown in the coming days. The MOTU Blast Attack and Clawful will be a shared exclusive with Toy Tokyo.
  21. While not available for purchase, NECA's third wave of Target exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Series figures are now listed on the Target website. These are supposed to see release this month. You can also check out new PR images for the wave below. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 7" Scale Action Figure - Cartoon Series 3 April O'Neil & Foot Soldier Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 7" Scale Action Figure - Cartoon Series 3 Leatherhead & Slasher Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 7" Scale Action Figure - Cartoon Series 3 Casey Jones & Foot Soldier
