After the notification from Toynewsi last weekend (shameless plug) I went straight to Amazon and ordered two of the Mattel DC Premier Superman figures and got to work on both. For version 1 I repainted it a classic blue, removed and resculpted the neck piece, then added a Mcfarlane Super Powers Superman cape. I removed the boots and replaced with ones from a DCeased Superman figure. For version 2. I just popped up the neck piece and inserted a cape from the Mcfarlane Task Force Superman all by with that for gures boots for ankle articulation. Hope you enjoy these takes and as always More to come.

Here's my take on a Mcfarlane Super Powers Earth-2 Superman. This uses ( under a lot of sanding) a Super Powers Metamorpho base with a Superman head shrunk down from his DC Direct figure. Hope you enjoy this take and as always More to come.

Here's my take on P.Craig Russell's radical redesign of Aquaman from DC Comics in 1985. Always a wanted to see this one made for the original line, and figured that it would have happened given the time that it debuted. This was made from a Mcfarlane Super Powers second release Superman and a Power Stars Flash Gordon head. Hope you enjoy this take and as always More to come.

With one magic word...Shazam! It's Captain Marvel, The World's mightiest mortal and the Marvel family. Sister Mary Marvel and best friend Freddy Freeman Captain Marvel, Jr. (Who speaks the name of his hero, Captain Marvel to be granted the power of the wizard Shazam) Captain Marvel was made from a ML Vulcan base. With ML Beyonder head/boots, arm bands bands/cape from a DC Direct first Appearance Captain Marvel, and lightning bolt from a Mcfarlane Black Adam Mary is mad from a MOTU Origins base, with a ML Sharon Carter head, a Stacey Keibler jacket, and a Capemaster cape. Freddy I showed before was made from a Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Hank with LeBron James Robin Space Jam lower legs. Whew. Hope you enjoy these takes, and as always More to come.

MOTU Origins Hawkman. This was made using a Superstars Ric Flair, with Stinkor upper boots, DCUC Hawkman wings, harness, and belt, then finally a resin head cast purchased from Star Wars geek customs. Hope you enjoy this take and as always More to come.

From Batman and the Outsiders comes Geo-Force! This was made from a custom 3D sculpted kit found on eBay. Love it. Very easy to assemble and takes paint great. More to come from this group.

Quick update on the movie Super Powers Superman. Just a lighter blue and higher collar. I might remove the belt at some point and sculpt a smaller one. But, for now it's done.

Happy Fourth of July! To celebrate here's my custom McFarlane Super Powers "Steel, the Indestructible man!" DC comics version of Captain America and the Bionic Man the character has had several different interpretations through the years his name was changed to Commander Steel after the Reign of Superman story and the introduction of that Steel (no relation) and has had a legacy character in the infamous Justice League Detroit and a grandson named Citizen Steel that was part of the JSA. This was a repaint of the JSA three pack Starman. Hope you enjoy this take, and as always More to come.

Here's a quick repaint of the McFarlane classic Superman with a darker blue and the original Kenner head. Also included is my electric Superman blue, using the McFarlane Super Powers Superman.

I'm getting excited for the new Superman movie releasing on July 11th, and thought I would add a few characters and altered looks for the new movie universe. Here's my alternate take on Guy Gardner Green Lantern ( with a look that I think more closely resembles his comic appearance.) and the Batman using the Spinmaster Superman movie figure as a base. I hope you enjoy these two and more from this Universe and others to come.

Wonder Twin Powers Activate! Zan was made from a 5" Spider-Man figure from a few years ago and Jayna was previously a MOTU Origins She-Ra. Gleek I've had for several years to go with my 3.75" custom Wonder Twins, and I honestly can't remember the whole recipe. Hope you enjoy this duo, and as always More to come.

The new McFarlane Super Friends line has me wanting more, and since the future of that line is dim, with less than nine months until the DC library of characters goes back to Mattel, I thought I would add a few more characters to it. I already made the Man of Steel, Superman to thwart Luthor, but now I'm adding Lex's partner in crime Brainiac to the fold. This was made from a McFarlane retro New Adventures of Batman pink Riddler and the head from a white Marvel Legends Vision. Hope you enjoy this take, and as always More to come.
