  2. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today released a new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailer featuring Nightwolf, the next playable character available beginning Aug. 13 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners. Nightwolf, born as Grey Cloud, is a proud and fierce warrior dedicated to the cause of good and chosen by the Great Spirit to become the Matoka tribe’s champion and protector. Along with his signature tomahawk swing, Nightwolf possesses extraordinary magic that allows him to manifest weapons created from spirit energy to fight for the Matoka’s future and defend all of Earthrealm. Nightwolf is the latest playable fighter to join the Mortal Kombat 11 roster as part of the Kombat Pack, alongside Shang Tsung (available now), Sindel, Spawn and two guest characters to be announced at a later date. in addition to one-week early access for Nightwolf, Kombat Pack owners will receive the Klassic Arcade Fighter Skin Pack featuring Jax, Kung Lao and Kano, as well as the new War Games Sonya Blade Skin. The Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack is the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content (DLC), featuring six characters, numerous skin and gear sets and one-week early access for all content. Players can purchase the Kombat Pack as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition for $99.99 (SRP) or individually for $39.99 (SRP). All DLC characters and bonus character skin packs will be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period.
  3. Actor and martial artist Joe Taslim will be playing the character of Sub-Zero in the newest installment of the live-action adaptation of the video game Mortal Kombat. Veteran commercial director Simon McQuoid makes his feature directing debut from a screenplay by Greg Russo. James Wan and his Atomic Monster banner are producing the movie along with Todd Garner. Larry Kasanoff, E. Bennett Walsh, Michael Clear and Sean Robins are executive producing. Production for the movie is set to shoot in southern Australia later this year. The plot of the movie is unknown but the video game centers on a massive roster of character fighters from different realms in a fictional universe battling for supremacy. The first Mortal Kombat movie was released in 1995 from director Paul W. S. Anderson that went on to gross an impressive $122 million at the worldwide box office.   4. Game of Thrones is looking to return to the San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H in July for a final celebration of the Emmy-winning series’. Deadline is reporting that HBO and Comic-Con organizers are in the final stages of planning for the event, but no past or present cast members have been announced on who will be attending. Game of Thrones has not attended the San Diego Comic-Con since 2017 as the eighth and final season kept the production from the comic-con last year. Now with the series final episode aired on May 19th, the cast will be able to speak freely about who lived and who died and what they liked and didn't like about the show.

  11. AMC has released some preview images of the characters from season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead. Adding to the season will be Austin Amelio, the actor who plays Dwight on the original AMC The Walking Dead. In the season 8 finale, Daryl (Norman Reedus) banished Dwight from Alexandria, never to return. Season 5 is reportedly set years before the events involving the Whisperers on The Walking Dead, given the recent time jump.

  18. Deadline via THR is reporting that Danai Gurira will be leaving AMC's The Walking Dead after Season 10. Sources have confirmed that she has signed a deal in which she will appear in only a handful of episodes for TWD‘s next season. She becomes the third major character to leave the series, after Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan. AMC declined comment on Gurira’s exit, but Gurira’s deal seems similar in nature to what the producers are trying to work out with Cohan, who might also return for occasional episodes going forward.
