About This Club

An area from a galaxy far far away where fans of Star Wars can come to share their passion for the hobby with others.

  1. What's new in this club
  2. The trailer seems ok at best. Quite frankly I am sceptical about how the movie is going to turn out. They will definitely try and repair stuff from the Last Jedi, however I hope they don't compromise telling a good story for that.
  3. I'm exited to see that the Ghost is in there (I hope we get to see who's in charge of it now ) also that 3po scene has me worried that they killed off Chewie . if you watch closely he's missing from the group , I know there is a clip after 3po says his line there is a chewie roar but that could be spliced from another scene :O ..
  4. I’m super stoked about this trailer! I’ve loved this trilogy so far and these new characters are all great. I think Rey is such a great character and I can’t wait to see what happens! I’m stoked about all the new figures too! I haven’t been able to buy any cause my stores are always out of stock and I recently lost my job but I love SW so I had to try my luck!
  5. The trailer was decent, but I'm not really excited to watch the movie. I'm hoping the movie turns out ok, but I'm more excited for the Mandalorian and the Clone Wars return at Disney +
  6. I'm on the fence a lot of little teases, but I really will have to wait to I see the movie I just hope its better than the Last Jedi.
  7. I liked the look of the trailer, not high expectations for the movie, but I will reserve my judgement till I see it.
  8. The trailer was good but I feel it was missing so much from what we wanted to see, I didn’t see much about the sith trooper or the elite snow trooper which is disappointing to me, i really just wanted to see more of the dark side over all I’m excited for it
  9. Excellent stuff from Hasbro JayC... the trailer was good not great, I think the only thing that peak most people's interest was palpatine. I also think Disney is going the safe way and not to show too much in the trailer.
  10. I personally like it. I’m hoping they don’t make kylo the whole become the skywalker they are basing the name of the movie off. One of the best things about him is that he is fighting between being light and dark side. I just feel like if they just make him go good in the final movie, then it’s just making everything he did to get where he is now to just be pointless. They did it with Vader but I would like to see something done differently with kylo. all in all tho, I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie even more after watching the trailer.
  11. I was like you Jay, the only part of the trailer that moved me emotionally was c-3po saying goodbye. The rest of the trailer was O.K., but I don't think we saw a lot of new stuff.
  12. I honestly enjoyed it, I like how they are finally making kylo the main badguy. I also like the direction they are going in, because it really looks like it's going to be an improvement over last jedi. I am still a little confused as to what is happening to c-3po but all in all I am excited to watch the movie.
  13. I heard he was going to die, and I was like ok, but hearing and seeing it hit me like a shovel . My heart ached knowing all that is left is going to be R2 and Chewie at least that we know :(
  14. oh ya someone pointed out in another thread she has a dagger, if it is true they are bringing everything together, does anyone think its the Mortis Dagger? me personally I really truly hope so.
  15. Ok Ok so my opinion is somewhat unpopular cause I neither Hate or Love the Last Jedi and the fans and Disney clashing against each other made the anticipation of The Rise of Skywalker jarring. I really didn't think I was going to feel that excitement again, But I DID! I hope Disney has learned from their Failures and fans can learn from theirs and bring balance to a franchise that deserves it and not deserving a fate of fading away.I feel it's not to late and hope its a Great Movie, Hope.
  16. I am liked what I saw but I was already sold on first trailer. I didn't like Last Jedi that much but I don't have deep hated for star wars like some people. I won't theorize because I feel that gets your expectations up and people get let down. December 20th here we go!

  19. I don't think this will be a bad movie and honestly I don't hate the previous 2, but I don't think this will be a great movie either. There are things I certainly didn't like in each one but at the end of the day the biggest thing I regret with these movies is we will never see Luke, Leia and Han reuniting for one final adventure. Not just because they opted to kill Han in the first movie and Luke in the second, but because Carrie Fisher is no longer with us to do it right. I know they will be using cut footage from the previous two movies to somehow put Leia in this one, but I think it's a safe assumption that it won't be the same thing if she were still alive today. One day I am sure we will hear stories of what the original plan was for this chapter of the saga and how it had to change with Fisher's untimely death, but my feeling is Leia would have played a much greater role which probably would have worked out better for the overall story.
  20. Yeah, if I get to watch this movie I will do it without any expectation so I will not be disappointed, although I'm afraid I will.
  21. The trailer itself looks good, there are some scenes that looked exciting but overall I'm wary, I fear that this movie may be overstuffed with too many characters and too many things going on at once, I hope I'm wrong.
  22. Part of me thinks that might be a possibility, I was discussing this with a coworker and we both agreed that it's something they would do. In the Force Awakens Kylo mentioned how he struggled because he felt the light side pulling at him, in The Last Jedi they kind of wanted you to feel sorry for him with the reveal of what happened with him and Luke. Then there's the fact that Kylo Ren is not really a Sith but a Knight of Ren, I could see Kylo being against Palpatine in this movie, defeating him and "redeeming" himself thus being the rising Skywalker or not at this point who knows.
  23. I have been leaning that way as well. I also think it could mean something totally different too... I will leave those thoughts alone until after the film...
  24. Ok I have to admit, that scene got me a bit to. I was expecting his eye to turn red right after that though.
