  1. It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Rebuild of Evangelion Musha Eva Test Type-01 figure from Sentinel Toys! As a long time fan of Evangelion AND a long time fan of when companies put a feudal Japan twist to things (Batman: Ninja, Star Wars Movie Realization figures, etc...), I pre-ordered that one immediately (even if it took ages to reach me once it came out). It's an Eva-01 that looks like a samurai, with die cast parts and a stunning look. Need I say more? The Musha Eva Test Type-01 figure comes in a rather sober box, with a few pictures of it on the box. It comes with a 5 pairs of hands, a large "Magonrokuto" sword with sheath, 2 short swords and a spare attachement for his head (which are very fragile, so good thing they added a spare!). The large sword sheath can attach to his right hip, and the short swords can go in his shoulder 'pauldrons'. It's a bit low in accessories, I would have appreciated maybe a screaming head, any sort of throwing knives or shurikens, or maybe even a second sword. It was pricey too, so I wish it came with a bit more. The figure was designed by Okazaki Takashi, the Japanese manga artist, visual designer and graphic designer known for Afro Samurai or the character designs for Summer Wars or Batman: Ninja. It is about 10", looks stunning, and is quite heavy. A lot of its parts are die cast, and the paint and details are amazing. The articulations are nice and tight and the figure can hit some great poses. I tried to reproduce some of the poses from the promo pics, but I think they cheated a little, because some parts get in the way (shoulder pauldrons, ...). I'm not very familiar with big die cast robot figures, but it feels very sturdy and would be hard to damage, although I wouldn't want scratches all over the paint or anything, so I handled it like if it was a fragile item. It's definitely a great looking figure on the shelf, like a conversation piece, even if a bit pricey. The Sentinel RIOBOT Rebuild of Evangelion Musha Eva Test Type-01 can still be found at our sponsor BigBadToyStore. More news at 11:00... Get in the Samurai Robot, Shinji!
  2. A few days ago, Sentinel finally revealed official promo pictures for the upcoming Fighting Armor War Machine figure, which should be released in August 2022. After studying all of the pics, the most observant collectors noticed that one of the pictures had what looks like staple removers attached to the arms of good ol' James Rhodes. A lot of us like to have an action figure on their desk while working, in order to be able to play around with the figure when taking breaks, so does that make this Sentinel Fighting Armor War Machine the ultimate desk figure, putting the "fun" in "functional"? ToyFarce managed to get more exclusive promo pics, showing all of the tools that we can be used with the figure. Not only does the Sentinel Fighting Armor War Machine comes with staple removers, but you can also use lots of your desk accessories as add-ons! A peg in his back will allow you to attach a stapler to it! You can use paper clips to make a shield on his arms, thanks to magnets! The shoulder cannons can hold your pens! Make your desk a fighting armor desk with that War Machine! Pre-orders coming soon. More news at 11:00... Never lose your stapler again. *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. This was super difficult to set up but I’m so glad I got it!
  4. I had no clue Sentinel had it in 'em. They make gorgeous Iron Man figures, but an animated Miles? Turns out they do that well, too. Pics and a video for anyone interested! Many-many thanks!
  5. Sentinel presents their third release from their Ronin Warriors Chou-Dan-Kadou action figure series: Rowen of the Strata! The armor is designed to be displayed as seen in the anime series with the included special frame base. Supervised by artist Shiyoyama Noriyasu, Rowen was recreated in great detail to match the original design. This set comes with 4 face plates, features magnets in some of the weapons for extra support, and his bow can be held or placed on his back. You can pre-order this figure from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. The figure includes the following: -4 Face plates -Alternate hands -Bow -Helmet -Weapons
