  1. It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the much anticipated Haslab Galactus from the Hasbro Marvel Legends line. Hasbro Pulse was not available in Europe back then, but when this gigantic Galactus was announced during the summer last year, I placed my order within the first minutes it popped up on Hasbro's European partner, Zavvi. And finally, Galactus has arrived! I grew up with all the ToyBiz versions of him (the Fantastic Four one with his 'planetary converter' vacuum cleaner accessory, the Silver Surfer one that said "I ... HUNGER!", along with the smaller Silver Surfer one, and of course, the Marvel Legends Build-a-figure), so this was a no-brainer for me, and OH BOY, the Devourer of Worlds did not disappoint! First, the box... the huge, huge box. Somehow, after seeing numerous reviews on Youtube and pictures online, I thought the box would be a tad smaller. Nope. This thing is the size of a new TV box! And the art on it is gorgeous! A drawing of Galactus and his heralds on the front, the sides have Jack Kirby style art, and the back can be used as a diorama. Unboxing it is an experience on its own, with Galactus and the figures on the side... Fun! This is your first glimpse at this gigantic toy! Since Galactus didn't fit AT ALL in my usual space for photography, I took pics on the floor. Galactus comes with a ton of accessories, which were unlocked during the Haslab campaign: 2 different mouth-pieces, a Silver Surfer figure with 2 extra pairs of hands and a stand that can be attached on Galactus' hand, a Frankie Raye (Nova) figure, also with 2 extra pairs of hands and a stand that can be attached to Galactus' hand, a figure of Morg with his battle axe, and a Doctor Doom head for Galactus (whichwas the last unlockable tier). This figure is a marvel of toy engineering (no pun intended). The sculpt looks amazing, the paint apps are great, and the articulations do oh, so many clicks (ratchet joints all around). This is an imposing figure, to say the least, and quite heavy too. The several options for the head are great, even if I imagine that most collectors will display him either with the basic one of the angry mouth, since that's the most iconic way he has been drawn in comic books. The hands with all the fingers articulated separately are done beautifully. I usually hate figures with articulated hands, but this one just works. The heralds figures are a great addition to the set, even if Galactus alone was already good enough. I did not have a Silver Surfer so I'm happy to get one with Galactus, and Nova and Morg are fantastic figures. The cons? Okay, the articulations are a bit rigid and I'm always a bit scared after each click, that either I broke something, or pinched my fingers really hard (it happened twice). His tunic prevents him from sitting down, but I didn't plan to sit him on anything anyway. Finally, the stands that attach to the hands are probably the thing I liked the less, since they are not super stable, and the figures falls down pretty easily. Plus, with the weight, they tend to make Big G fall forward a bit. If you manage to attach them in a way that they won't fall, then it's not an issue. More news at 11:00... To me, my Galactus!
  2. Since nobody seems to be willing to display their newly-arrived Hasbro Marvel Legends Haslab Galactus figure with the Doctor Doom head (which was the last unlockable tier, so clearly, giving a good or bad final unlockable tier doesn't really have any consequences on the backers), many collectors will be left with an extra Galactus Doctor Doom head lying around somewhere. So what to do with your purple hooded Latverian ruler head? ToyFarce is here to help! We gathered a team of experts to find out the several other uses that a Galactus Doctor Doom head could have, and here are the most useful ones! Tired of your doors hitting the wall? Use your good ol' pal Victor's head as a doorstop! Collecting toys and complaining online takes all your time, and you don't spend enough time with your family? Go outside and play catch with your Galactus Doctor Doom head! Your papers keep flying away on your desk anytime there is a draught coming from the window? Use the Galactus Doctor Doom head as a paperweight! Your neck and shoulders hurt from all that collecting? Use the head as a massage ball! Instant relief guaranteed! What other uses would you have for your extra Galactus Doctor Doom head? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... All will face the righteous punishment of Doom! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. The Hasbro Marvel Legends HasLab Engine of Vengeance still has 21 days to go, but so far, only 2 tiers were revealed: A gorgeous looking Mephisto as Tier 1, along with the Goblin Queen, Madelyne Pryor, which is actually Tier 0 rather than Tier 2 (She's a Tier 'PRYOR' to Tier 1, get it?). But with the number of backers growing steadily in the wrong direction, we thought we would reveal more tiers, in order to boost those sales! TIER 0,5: PANTS! Hold on to your pants for that one! We did not get the early bird special Robbie Reyes figures, but we eventually got Robbie Reyes' head and hood, so we can turn the Ghost Rider figure into Robbie anyway...sort of. What if one of the other tiers was Robbie's missing grey pants? TIER 2: FUZZY STEERING WHEEL COVER! A very important thing for a Ghost Rider is to make his ride his own. What better way than to add Robbie's favorite air-freshener, a cup holder, or even the unlockable from Tier 3: a fuzzy steering wheel cover! TIER 4: TRUMPET CAR HELLHORN! A ToyFarce classic. Every crowdfunded product should always have a trumpet tier. Comes with 3 pre-recorded car horn sounds. 'Nuff said. TIER 5: A TODDLER CAR SEAT! Sometimes, the family gets bigger and you'll need a baby car seat in order to be able to continue to fight crime, but also have your toddler safe and secure in the car. This toddler car seat is also fireproof. TIER 6: REUSABLE SHOPPING BAGS! With Hasbro already making efforts to reduce plastic waste by removing it from their packaging, another great step is adding reusable shopping bags in the trunk of your Engine of Vengeance, to be sure to always have one with you (... and forget it in the trunk of the car every single time). What would you want to see as an unlockable tier for the Haslab Engine of Vengeance? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... "Honk if parts fall off!" *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  4. On Friday, the Marvel Legends team from Hasbro announced the next Haslab project, the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and his Engine of Vengeance. You can check out the nice little intro video, complete with "nice" techno music, here. One thing led to another, and all of a sudden, every collectors knows the price of any toy car that ever came out. ToyFarce investigated. We talked with a toy collector from Oklahoma, who has now learned the prices of every toy car ever made: "I can name the price of every toy car ever made. From Hot Wheels to Majorette, from Crash Test Dummies cars to Playmobil, multiple different Batmobiles of different sizes,... I know the price of every single toy car ever made now. That way, when someone is talking about the price of the new Haslab, I can just randomly name a few toy cars that were cheaper than it. That makes my argument more powerful." He became very quiet and ended the interview when we asked if he could also name toy cars that were more expensive... It turns out there are a lot. And they didn't even come with figures, and still sold very well... Check out the new Haslab Engine of Vengeance here! More news at 11:00... 5. Today, the next Haslab project will be revealed (in case you've been living under a rock). It seems to be the toy community's worst kept secret, as the Hasbro Marvel Legends team has teased about it several times already (the Haslab logo with hellfire and brimstone around it, the Ghost Rider 50th anniversary logo all over the place, several tweets about fire and chains...). So clearly, the next Haslab is gonna be Fing Fang Foom, right? Just kidding... According to the rumor mill, all signs seem to point to the next Haslab project being the latest Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, with his trusted ride, the Hell Charger. But who is the Ghost Rider? Here's a quick summary for you, so you can act like you knew all along when ordering the next Haslab: Ghost Rider, the Spirit of Vengeance is the name of multiple superheroes (or anti-heroes) from the Marvel Comics Universe. The most known ones are Johnny Blaze, a stunt man that sold his soul to the devil Mephisto; Danny Ketch, Johnny's half-brother who became the Ghost Rider thanks to a medallion on his bike (huh?), and Robbie Reyes, a car mechanic who was murdered and resurrected as the Ghost Rider by a ghost in his car... (huh??). His powers are superhuman strength, speed, a healing factor, he can control hellfire and his chains, and has a 'Penance stare', which causes to anybody who looks into his eyes to feel the pain they have ever inflicted on others for eternity. Fun! The Ghost Rider has always been a great character, and has had a ton of great comic books,... great action figures,... and questionable movies, with Nicholas Cage as the main character. (The Robbie Reyes version appeared in the now defunct "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." tv series). In the comic book, there has been multiple different rides, such as bikes, a car, a horse, a mammoth, a taco truck... There is also a Cosmic Ghost Rider riding through space. Hopefully, you are now more familiar with the Spirit of Vengeance, and ready to spend money on the next Haslab Project! More news at 11:00... Get ready to taste hell! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  6. Imagine that... A huge, long Spaceball 1 spaceship, that actually could transform into Mega Maid. How FAST would you support that Haslab project? This would be a 100% done deal, and the campaign would reach its goal within minutes (unlike the previous 2...). A chance at redemption? Yes, we are aware that the movie Spaceballs was allowed to be made under the condition that no merchandise was ever made for it (Thanks, George...), but with Disney buying every studio and franchises left and right, it won't be long until Spaceballs falls under the Disney umbrella, and is made canon as part of the Star Wars universe! (One can dream, right?). If that happens, a Haslab of the Spaceball 1 ship could definitely happen! It could even be a Transformers Haslab project, since it transforms into the atmosphere-sucking Mega Maid! We get to see the transformation in the movie, so the engineering is already there! A Transformers x Star Wars Collaboration Haslab campaign? Sign me in! More news at 11:00... No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again. *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  7. If you have a secret, the best thing you can do is NOT to tell it to the guy that runs the Hasbro Pulse website. That guy cannot keep a secret! Whether is was the Haslab GI Joe Classified Series HISS Tank, the Star Wars The Black Series Reva Force FX Elite Lightsaber or even the Marvel Legends Galactus, it seems that every time a Haslab is about to be revealed, the Hasbro Pulse website cannot help but spill the beans a bit before that. And that's not all! Yesterday, a few more secrets were 'accidentally' revealed! During the night, an investigator hired by ToyFarce to keep refreshing the Hasbro Pulse website managed to uncover several other secrets that the Hasbro Pulse website could not keep quiet about! Here are several screenshots that were taken during that night. Always be on the lookout! All jokes aside, how does this keep happening? I am one person with a laptop and I manage to get those articles out at the time I want them to be out, so how does a multi-million dollar company not manage that? Was Cobra involved? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on the Hasbro Pulse website! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  8. A week ago, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team (Dwight Stall, Ryan Ting and Jesse Falcon) teased on the Marvel Comics podcast that "there might be, perhaps, but likely, a new Haslab project in 2022, allegedly. Maybe. Fingers crossed. But yeah." (Something like that). ToyFarce investigated long and hard, and tried to gather information about all the potential candidates for a Haslab project, and we came to the conclusion that it could only be one thing: the Thanos-Copter. The Thanos-Copter is clearly one of the most important vehicle of the Marvel Universe. Some say it's the Bluebird, the Quinjet or even the Helicarrier, but they pale in comparison to the almighty Thanos-Copter. First, you have to imagine that Thanos, the Mad Titan, took helicopter training classes in order to be able to pilot it. There was a time when the Almighty Thanos took a break from conquering planets in the afternoons to be at his lessons. The Thanos-Copter has even made appearances in the MCU and the Lego Marvel video games. If that doesn't convince you that it's the most important vehicle, I don't know what will. No official announcement date has been given as of writing. More news at 11:00... EVIL TAKES TO THE SKY! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  9. Last week, the first Marvel Legends Hasbro Pulse stream of 2022 took place, and it was a treat! Lots of nice reveals: the first wave of 2022 Avengers, a retro Rhino, a science beaker... One part caught everyone's attention: No, we are not talking about the ruthless unboxing of the Herald of Galactus Thor figure, but the public slapping of Galactus' knees. What happened? What went through Dwight's mind? ToyFarce investigated... Towards the end of the stream, Dwight Stall, the Senior Product Design Manager for the Marvel Legends team at Hasbro, decided to give us a quick update on the upcoming Haslab Galactus figure. Dwight showed the figure, which looks glorious, turned its lights on, and then... publicly slapped the heck out of its knees. We reached out to Galactus for more info: "First of all, I'd like to thank all the fans that sent me messages of support and get well wishes. I am okay. There was no harm done. Only my ego is bruised. We had a talk with Dwight and he apologized." Next time, let's hope we'll get a good joke before the knee slapping... More news at 11:00... Galactus loves you all! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  10. Happy Valentine's Day to all toy lovers! This year, Valentine's Day promises to be a little tense, since our Haslab Star Wars The Vintage Collection Razor Crest are also starting to pop up on our doorsteps, which means that any dinner plans or romantic dates might be thrown out the window, in order to eagerly wait for the delivery man. ToyFarce investigated... ToyFarce heard several reports of restaurants 'unexpectedly cancelling their dinner reservations', movies 'surprisingly changing their schedules', and other plans for February 14th being rescheduled at the last second, after a wave of notifications about the HasLab Star Wars Razor Crest arriving today was sent to multiple backers. Sharon, from New Jersey, told ToyFarce: "I had spent the afternoon preparing for a nice romantic candlelit dinner at my favorite restaurant with my husband, when he suddently yelled in the living room "YES! THIS IS THE WAY!". I asked him what happened and, he said that unfortunately, we could not go to the restaurant anymore, that they cancelled, which was upsetting. A moment later, I heard the doorbell, and thought nothing of it. It's only when I went to the living room that I realized what was going on... My husband had a huge Star Wars Razor Crest box on the table, and he was jumping up and down in every direction, due to the excitement. He still got me some flowers, which he gave me while hiding his big Star Wars box behind him... He's been in his collection room for hours, nown playing with it... Anybody interested in a candlelit dinner?" Could it have been avoided? Well... sure. But we kinda wanted those to get to us as soon as possible, so be it Valentine's Day, Easter or even Christmas, we would have done anything to free up our schedule in order to collect our Haslab prize! More news at 11:00... What a lovely day! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously! Valentine's Day posts from previous years: https://www.toyfarce.com/news/star-wars-the-black-series-valentines-day-edition-stormtroopers https://www.toyfarce.com/news/the-big-valentines-day-list-2021
  11. Over the past few weeks, there's been a disturbance in the Force that we have all felt: The Haslab Rancor campaign tier reveals have been quite a letdown, and many loyal fans ended up cancelling their backing, as a response. Indeed, the Haslab Rancor will come with a repackaged Gamorrean guard, plastic bones, a cardboard back drop, a repackaged Salacious Crumb, and yet another version of Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker. Many collectors took to social media to express their discontent, and tried to make the message clear about what they wanted, like the obvious choice of having Malakili, the Rancor keeper figure come with it, or Jabba's exotic dancer Oola, with the hashtag #NoOolaNoMoolah trending for a bit. Well, we know that Disney decided a few years ago to not ever produce any merchandise again depicting what was then known as "the Slave Leia" (now called the "Hutt-slayer Leia"), because of the outrageous, objectifying outfit that the Alderaan princess was wearing in the Return of the Jedi. We also know that the movie had to be edited to remove Oola's wardrobe malfunction from the original versions of the film. But why would the Rancor Keeper not be included, you ask? ToyFarce asked an anonymous source that worked for Disney and Star Wars for years. "Well, the Rancor Keeper, or Malakili, is also a subject of great controversy at Disney. When you watch the movie, you'll see that he is TOPLESS in every one of his scenes! He is exposing himself all the time! It's a miracle that Disney hasn't edited a t-shirt over him yet! So no, there won't be any Rancor Keeper figure. First 'Slave Leia', then Oola and now Malakili..." More news at 11:00... "He got his titties out!"
  12. Last week, ToyFarce sent a request to Haslab to try to get an exclusive interview (since we're on Toy News International and we can do things like that now). To our biggest surprise, they granted us that interview and were actually pretty excited about it! We were expecting a great sit down interview with members of all the different great teams, to talk everything about Haslab: Marvel Legends Galactus, the G.I. Joe Skystriker, the Ghostbusters Proton pack, and the Star Wars the Black Series Rancor... Well, it turns our there is another company called Haslab, a homeopathy company in India. Here's what we salvaged from the interview... ToyFarce: Hello, Haslab, and thank you so much for accepting this interview with us. We couldn't believe that you'd accept an interview after we've been teasing you for so long, so we really appreciate it! Haslab: You're welcome, we're very excited to have a chat with you and get more awareness on the fantastic world of homeopathy! ToyFarce: Wait, what?... Anyway, so how is the development going on Galactus? Haslab: You must be talking about our Gastrolus drops... those are great if you have stomach issues! It helps with heartburn, flatulence,... ToyFarce: I... am very confused right now. Moving on, how happy are you with the response to the G.I. Joe Skystriker? People are very happy about the long-awaited comeback of the O-ring figures! Haslab: "O-ring"? Do you mean...the b**thole? We have a very wide range of products to ease digestion and relieve you of any pain in the colon! ToyFarce: Okay, I see what's going on... If I say Proton Pack? Haslab: Yes, we have lots of tonics too! ToyFarce: This interview is over. Well that was a waste of time... More news at 11:00... Haslab, live life without side effects!
  13. Last Friday, Hasbro held a short but sweet "Star Wars: Fan First Friday" livestream, where they gave us more information about the current Haslab Star Wars project, the Black Series Rancor. We were shown pictures of the first prototype in all its greyness, and the first unlockable tier was revealed: It will be a retro-carded Gamorrean Guard... (and the crowd went mild for that one!). ToyFarce went above and beyond to try to uncover more unlockable tiers for all collectors who were disappointed by that first one, which is basically a re-packaging of an already released figure (still available on our sponsor BigBadToyStore!). #RepacksAreTheNewRepaints Obviously, we can imagine that one of the next tiers will be the Rancor Keeper. All that we can hope is that he comes with a second head sculpt, a crying one, so that we can recreate that heartbreaking scene when the Keeper cries next to his baby Rancor that just met its demise. So touching... Another great unlockable tier would be 'The Door', that unforgiving weapon that Luke uses to defeat the Rancor (spoilers!). The following reveals have been sent to ToyFarce by a trusted source, so we can say with 97,3% certainty that those will be the ones revealed by Hasbro very soon: What other unlockable tiers would you want to see with your Haslab Star Wars The Black Series Rancor? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... *ROAAAAR!* (actual Rancor quote)
  14. Today I take a look at the new Transformers: War For Cybertron Haslab Unicron figure from Hasbro. You can purchase Transformers from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Check out images for this figure below in our GALLERY and be sure to share your own thoughts about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  15. Hasbro has teased on their social media an announcement for what appears to be HeroQuest related coming on Tuesday September 22. One of the tags used in the post along with this image of HeroQuest game symbols is #Haslab. They also recently launched a new HeroQuest website. For those not familiar, HeroQuest was a dungeon-crawling adventure type board game put out by Milton Bradley in the early 1990's. The game featured art and miniatures from Games Workshop. The website Hasbro has launched would indicate a new game is coming that will be published under the Avalon Hill imprint. The timer on the website matches up with Hasbro's announcement. It's unclear how Hasbro's crowdsourcing website Haslab will play a role in all of this, but likely Hasbro is looking to get funding for the game through crowdsourcing means.
