  1. Ok, now that the new line has been revealed, discussed, praised, criticized and even vituperated, what characters and versions would you like to see in the Classified series?.
  2. UPDATE 2: Additional out of package images have been added via ponkung. UPDATE: An additional image featuring the Hasbro box the figure s UPDATE: An additional image featuring the Hasbro box the figure shipped in has been added which suggest this may be this year's SDCC exclusive. The Box is labled GIJoe Elite Convention Set. We will continue to update as more details become available. Liam gives us a heads UPDATE: Liam gives us a heads up that images giving us our first look at Hasbro's rumored 6" G.I.Joe Classified figures have hit social media. We aren't sure where the images originated from but we got them from the Full Force Podcast. The images show some type of deluxe version of Snake-Eyes. There have been rumors of some type of exclusive figure being released right out the gate for this line, likely to go up for order or pre-order this weekend. We suspect this will be that figure. The figure comes with fancy packaging and a number of accessories. My guess there will be a regular version that will not feature the outer packaging or quit as many accessories . One accessory that seems to be missing is Snake-Eyes' pet wolf named Timber. It's also worth noting that the artwork on the box is very similar to that used for the new G.I. Joe: War on Cobra App Game that was released earlier this year. Check out the images for this figure below and stay-tuned for more details as they become available. We should definitely hear more on this on Saturday during Hasbro's Toy Fair event which kicks off at 1:30PM ET. We will have full coverage of the event here on TNI. We are a week away from Toy Fair, which means we are likely a week away from Hasbro officially unveiling their rumored 6" G.I. Joe Classifed line of action figures. With that Walmart has listed two different assortments for the line on their website. Assortment 1 - SKU: 169988830 Assortment 2 - SKU SKU: 869896266 Unfortunately the website does not provide any specific details like images or which figures will be in each assortment. Assortment 1 is rumored to include Snake-Eyes, Duke, Destro, Scarlet and Roadblock. There have been a number of rumors floating around such as Build-A-Figures, Variants and store exclusives. This might be one of the most anticipated reveals for next weeks Toy Fair event, so be sure to check back On Saturday, February 22 around 2pm ET to get all the details, assuming they don't leak out sooner.
  3. My review of GI JOE Classified Series Hasbro Pulse Exclusive Snake Eyes 6 inch action figure
  4. Ever since word broke earlier in the year that Hasbro was bringing G.I. Joe back to the toy aisle, many have been wondering what that would mean for 3 3/4” collectors. While Hasbro’s initial announcement at Toy Fair was for a new 6” Classified line, those who grew up on G.I. Joe in the 80’s and prefer smaller scale figures were left wondering, “What about me?” This week the fansite Hisstank dug up some new listings on the Walmart website for a new G.I.Joe exclusive line called “G.I.Joe Retro”. While there is nothing about these listings that suggest what the scale of the figures will be, their assumption seems to be that they will be 3 3/4”. Hasbro these days seems to favor 6” figures, but precedent exists for them doing 3 3/4” size figures as Walmart exclusives. We saw them do this a few years ago with Star Wars, when they released a limited line of articulated 3 3/4” Black Series figures. Still the word “Retro” could refer to a number of things. After all, the original G.I. Joe figures released in the 60’s where actually 12” figures with cloth uniforms. “Retro” is also a term often used with 8” Mego style figures with cloth outfits. The word “Retro” also could simply refer to the outfits. The new 6” Classified figures feature classic 80’s characters in updated uniforms, so this new Walmart line could simply be the 6” Classified figures repainted with their classic outfits. The possibilities of what this Retro line could be based on our current info is infinite, but let’s assume for a moment this in fact is a new line of 3 3/4” figures. If so, that begs a whole slew of new questions. Hasbro has released a number of different 3 3/4” lines over the years with different designs and looks. There was the original “A Real American Hero” line with the classic O-ring design, then there is the more modern 25th Anniversary figures that ditched the O-rings. So if Hasbro released new 3 3/4” figures, which route would they go? Could they give us something totally new or even just shrunk down versions of their Classified figures? The Walmart listings even indicate some kind of HISS Tank vehicle in the works. So would that just be the same HISS Tank Hasbro has released many times over the years since the 80’s? Even IF Hasbro ends us giving a new 3 3/4” line, what are they going to be able to release that will make most collectors happy and be something they don’t already have???

JOE are reborn as Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo! This limited edition statue is based on the 25th Anniversary Baroness who was released in 2008. This version of Baroness can be seen in a blue suit variant of the original actionfigure. The ultramarine blue and neon green coloration is perfect for night missions. G.I. The base and suit are a refreshing sky-blue, and a conspicuous silver lining adorns her body suit. Her white fitted gloves and boots also perfectly compliment her suit.
  6. The Cobra team member Baroness is back in the Bishoujo series this time in her elite Crimson Strike Team uniform. Standing over 9 inches tall, Baroness is based an illustration by artist Shunya Yamashita designed after the 2002 figure. Baroness features a deep red color with metallic paintwork, plus an all new weapon. You can pre-order this now from our sponsor at BigBadToyStore.com.
  7. Sketch Things, in this review gives us his best version of the classic G.I. Joe #21 Silent Interlude comic which featured Snake-Eyes and had no words. In this case he takes a look at the new Hasbro 6" G.I. Joe Classified exclusive version of Snake-Eyes figure without saying one word. This exclusive version of the figure is offered currently only through Hasbro's website for $39.99. While not yet officially confirmed by Hasbro, there should be a non-exclusive version of Snake-Eyes without as many accessories or fancy packaging released in the regular line. Besides Snak-Eyes, the first wave in the regular line will include Scarlet, Duke, Roadblock and one other which is rumored to be Destro. The regular version of Snake-Eyes should only cost $20. Wave one of the G.I. Joe Classified figures is available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. In the video you get a really nice look at all the articulation this figure features which seems to rival even the best Marvel Legends figures currently on the market. Check out images for this figure below in our GALLERY and be sure to share your own thoughts about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  8. IDW Publishing is proud to share the first look at SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME #1, the first issue of an explosive new comic book miniseries written and illustrated by Rob Liefeld (X-Force, Deadpool)! Snake Eyes has long been the most mysterious member of the G.I. JOE team, but within the pages of DEADGAME, he’ll finally be forced to play his hand! How long can he keep his past classified… and what deadly secrets will come back to haunt him? “G.I. JOE was my first obsession. Those were the toys in the sandbox with me, kung fu grip, eagle eye, I had them all. G.I. JOE is a world of characters that I have always aspired to participate in,” says Liefeld. “Snake Eyes was a profound influence on my creating Deadpool. Producing this series is an all-time bucket list achievement for me.” “I’ve seen Rob’s excitement about G.I. JOE for years,” says John Barber, IDW Editor-In-Chief. “I’m thrilled and amazed to see it all finally coming together in the biggest SNAKE EYES comic book in decades — maybe ever! There’s a real electric charge in the air every day as new pages come in — every one seemingly topping the last!” The first issue of SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME will arrive in stores in June 2020.
  9. I've been collecting since I was a child in the 1980s; much of what I have reflects what I kept as a kid (G.I. Joe, Transformers, Voltron, Star Wars) but I have thinned it down to what I can show off to reduce a bunch of bins in storage. It is quite diverse with a lot of smaller toy lines represented; some of my favorites including Starcom, Captain Power, ExoSquad and COPS to name a few. The packaged Ninja Turtles were found in my grandparents attic when we cleaned out their house (fresh with a 1988 Kmart receipt). Cabinets are the Billy cases from IKEA with the optional doors and two DETOLF cases I got from a friend. My wife gifted me the basement when we moved in to do with as I pleased, these are the current results after 10 years of display.
  10. Snake-Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins star Henry Golding posted this image giving us our first look of the new movie on his Instagram page in celebration of his birthday. The image shows him as Snake-Eyes walking up some mysterious looking stairs somewhere in Japan. The movie started production earlier last month and is being directed by Robert Schwentke. The movie will also star Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Ursula Corbero as The Baroness and Andrew Koji as Snake Eyes’ brother and enemy, the ninja Storm Shadow.
  11. With word of Hasbro’s new 6” G.I. Joe Classified line rumored to be coming later this year, we wondered what the actual figures might end up looking like? We will all likely get the answer to that question later next month during Toy Fair, which kicks off on February 22. Still, that’s a ways away. So we thought we would check out eBay, and see what was out there in the way of 6” G.I. Joe custom figures. Obviously it’s not the same thing, but we thought it might give us a good idea for what we might see officially next month. Note: The items featured in this article should not be construed as me personally endorsing them as something to buy. I have never handled this items in-hand. My opinions are based solely on what I see and read in the action description. You may want to look into the items featured here, but I would definitely recommend you do more research on any item before making an actual purchase. This first three figures come from eBay seller mytoycave-5. I don’t know if he actually made the figures or is just reselling them. I like how they combined the 6” figure with a Hall Of Heroes 3.75’ figure. This is an idea Hasbro might want to actually consider, so both scale collectors will be happy. I doubt they will, but I really do like the idea. The first figure is based on one of my favorite characters, Major Bludd. I expect Hasbro’s figures will have a bit more modern sculpt design, but I do like this custom. I like how it incorporates an ab-crunch joint even with the chest plate. Click here to see more of this figure. Next up is Joe member Low Light. Hasbro gave us a really nice 3.75” Low Light several years ago with lots of cool accessories. If we end up with a 6” version, I would expect no less. This custom also has a lot of accessories which makes it pretty cool. Click here to see more of this figure. The final custom figure from this seller is based on the Cobra Infantry Soldier. If I was a betting man, I would say this is one Hasbro will definitely end up doing. The custom isn’t bad, but I do expect Hasbro’s version will look better. Click here to see more of this figure. eBay seller followurheart0914 has up for auction this 6” custom for G.I. Joe member Beach Head. This custom seems to do a pretty good job of capturing the likeness of Beach Head’s body, but the head could use some work. It’s to smooth looking. Hopefully if Hasbro gives us an official version, it will have a mask more in keeping with the original lined ski-like mask. Click here to see more of this figure. The master of disguise, Zartan is another fan-favorite that I really hope Hasbro plans on giving us in 6” form. This custom is being offered by eBay seller supermegabot, and while it doesn’t have any weapons I do like the clear chest plate. It would be even cooler if the skin changed colors in sunlight. Click here to see more of this figure. Storm Shadow is probably one of the most popular characters in the G.I. Joe mythos, only second to Snake-Eyes. So it’s no surprise that people like to make customs of him. This first of two being featured here, is being offered by eBay seller followurheart0914. He has created a figure based more on the original second version of the charatcer, with the black spots on it. I assume if or when Hasbro does one, it will be based more on the original costume. This custom figure looks decent, but the hood needs some work. I do like all the weapon accessories included. Click here to see more of this figure. This second Storm Shadow is being offered by eBay seller zackmack3. This one is seemingly based on a bit more modern design of the character, with the big Cobra symbol on the front of his mask. I actually like the look of this custom figure, and wouldn’t mind seeing Hasbro give us a similar version. Click here to see more of this figure. Next up is our first of two Snake-Eyes custom figures. This one is being offered by eBay seller followurheart0914. Out of the two featured here, this is probably my least favorite, but I really like all the gear included with it. Especially the realistic army bag located on the back of the figure. Click here to see more of this figure. This last custom which is of another Snake-Eyes, is probably my favorite of the bunch. It is being offered by eBay seller jnrstudios. The articulation looks nice and I like the clean detail on the visor. I think this custom gives us our best idea of what official 6” G. I. Joe figures will look like, if or when Hasbro releases them. Click here to see more of this figure. Let us know what characters you want to see most from Hasbro for a 6” G.I. Joe action figure line in the COMMENTS SECTION below.
