  1. Music from iconic 80s animated series, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, will be available for the first time ever on vinyl. The first official release of the score in any format, it includes the instrumental version of the iconic theme song and over 40 minutes of unreleased music from the original composers, Robert J. Walsh and Johnny Douglas. The album features music from the first five-part G.I. JOE mini-series which debuted in 1983 and Season 1 of the animated series which premiered in 1985. You can pre-order this at Amazon with a November release date.
  2. The G.I. Joe 3.75" Retro Wave 2 figures which include Scarlett, Roadblock and Destro along with the new Cobra F.A.N.G. Helicopter and pilot are available for pre-order at Walmart.com. Unlike Target, Walmart seems to be learning some and has continued to have these available for a few hours as I type this. The figures cost $12.93 each and the vehicle costs 24.99. The figures are listed with a January 5th release date and the vehicle a February 5th one. Check out the new promo images for all of them below.
  3. As part of their NYCC Exclusive line-up for this year Funko is doing a G.I. Joe Beach Head POP! Vinyl figure. This one will be available at Target stoes. DPCI: 323-01-9349
  4. The folks at The Full Force have posted an image they credit to a Shaun Hume stating it's our first look at Hasbro's second wave of Walmart exclusive 3 3/4" G.I. Joe Retro figures. We can't confirm the legitimacy of the image, but the figures shown do match up with the Walmart computer listings we have seen for the wave. The images show figures of V1 Roadblock, Scarlett and Destro. Like before all three figures are featured on cardbacks that pay tribute to the original G.I. Joe A Real American Hero line.
  5. Shown below is our first look at the upcoming G.I. Joe Super Cyborg Cobra B.A.T. V1 figure from Super7 which is said to stand around 11-12". Complete your G.I. Joe figure collection with the Super Cyborg Cobra B.A.T. figure! This retro figure stands around 11 inches tall and features a removable chest piece to reveal its internal mechanisms along with interchangeable arm weapons. The figure is slated with a November(ish) release and is available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  6. They aren't GIJoe's but they might be the next best thing for you 6" collectors. Cryptid Toys has launched a new Kickstarter campaign for a new 6" military themed line called Army Alphas. Here are the official details: The time has finally come for 1:12 (6 inch) SWAT, Soldier, and Army Builder figures! Cryptid Toys has launched the Army Alphas campaign that is on Kickstarter now! Each super articulated action figure has all the standard points of articulation that collectors have come to expect in addition being very modular. Helmet tops, heads, necks, arms, hands, torsos at the waist, and vests/harnesses are all swappable. These figures are in scale with Marvel Legends, DC Multiverse, Medicom Mafex, and many other collector lines. Grab some Army Alphas to boost your existing collection of army builders or even start a new one! There are four basic figures and one deluxe figure being offered in the initial group. The basics are the Blue SWAT, Night Ops SWAT, Serpent Trooper, and Space Trooper. The deluxe is the UCP Soldier. There are several stretch goals for different figures that will become unlocked should the funding goal reach those levels. The first stretch goal is the deluxe Stealth Ninja, and the second is the basic Cobalt Trooper. The campaign is already one third of the way to the goal and will run until Friday, March 15. Basic figures are $25 each, deluxe figures are $33 each, and shipping to each region is a flat rate no matter how many figures you pre-order. Click Here to visit the campaign now! Check out images for the figures below.
  7. Ok, now that the new line has been revealed, discussed, praised, criticized and even vituperated, what characters and versions would you like to see in the Classified series?.
  8. Looks like Best Buy let the cat out of the bag for a new G.I. Joe video game called Operation Blackout. Looks like it will be released for PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox. The game was up briefly for pre-order but has since been removed from the site. Check out box art which looks like is based on the new Classified action figure line as well as some screenshots below. We will update when more details on this become available.

  10. Howdy folks Today I take a look at Hasbro's Target exclusive G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Island Cobra Trooper
  11. If you have been looking to add a Sgt. Slaughter figure to your new G.I. Joe: Classified collection, well Valaverse has the next best thing for you. The ol' Sarge is joining Action Force with a new 1:12 scale Action Force Sgt Slaughter figure. It will feature 36 points of articulation as well as multiple accessories and a display stand. The figure is currently available for pre-order on CrowdOx, and will ship in early 2021 with the rest of Action Force Series One. You have to create an account, pledge on on of the levels that has a $32 figure, then when you continue, you get to choose who you want, Slaughter is at the very bottom. Check out this video of Sgt. Slaughter himself announcing his joining the Action Force team and check out images of the figure below.
  12. Looks like you will be able to add two more G.I. Joe POP! Vinyl figures to your collection with Shipwreck and Zartan which are being released by Funko in this new Retro Toys assortment. Other figures include Stretch Armstrong, Mr. Potato Head, Glow Worm and the dude from the Operation board game. Look for these to be released later this year.
  13. Hasbro today is holding one of their Live-Stream events for G.I. Joe. If they allow it we will embed the video but if not we will post updates and images of things as they are announced. They are not allowing the video to be embed so you can watch it here. GIJoe Retro is a re-issue of the 25th Anniversary. They will be Walmart exclusives going live at 11am ET. Storm Shadow has 14 accessories and digital scan face deco. The packaging is in keeping with the original line just like the 25th Anniversary line. The figures cost $13.99 each and vehicles $24.99. Snake-Eyes with 14 accessories. Baroness has 8 accessories. Hiss Tank (Original one) and driver. Awe Striker with Crank Case. The GIJoe Classified SDCC exclusive will be Snake Supreme Cobra Commander. Not up for pre-order yet. Be sold on Hasbro Pulse and be available around September. It will retail for $29.99.
  14. Hasbro has launched a new official G.I. Joe website, and with that they released artwork for 20 G.I. Joe team members and 20 Cobra members. While there is no guarantee all 40 characters will be released in 6" Classified action figure form, its a good bet the ones that end up being released will look similar to what we see here. Out of the 40 characters featured on the site we know Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Snake-Eyes, Destro and Cobra Commander are getting the action figure treatment. The other characters features on the site include the following: G.I. Joe -Barbecue -Chuckles -Cover Girl -Doc -Dusty -Flint -Gung-Ho -Hawk -Helix -Jinx -Lady Jaye -Ripcord -Rock N' Roll -Sci-Fi -Stalker -Wild Bill Cobra -Alley Viper -Cobra B.A.T. -Baroness -Buzzer -Cobra Trooper -Cobra Viper -Firefly -Major Bludd -Red Ninja Viper -Ripper -Road Pig -Scrap-Iron -Storm Shadow -Tomax & Xamot -Torch -Zarana -Zartan We have mirrored the artwork for each character below in our GALLERY. We should note for some characters like Doc, Sc-Fi, Cobra Viper Cobra Soldier, Cobra B.A.T. and a few others, they seem to be using the same artwork used for the original toys. It's unclear if that means Hasbro just hasn't gotten around to re-designing those characters, isn't planning on making figures of those characters or will just retain their original looks. Because we don't know if Hasbro plans on releasing all these characters as 6" Classified figures, its hard to say why they don't have updated artwork or looks. Out of characters featured here, which ones do you most want to see made as 6" Classified figures? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  15. Looks like we might be seeing a 2020 SDCC Exclusive from Hasbro for G.I. Joe this year which would be really cool. The bad news is that it looks like Walmart will be the place to get it. Since the actual San Diego Comic Con itself has been canceled, at least the physical version, many have been wondering how or where they will be able to get their hands on Hasbro's exclusives this year. Well Walmart has launched a Comic-Con exclusive section on their website which features a countdown clock showing just over 4 days until launch (As I post this). This section appears to be an area comprised of various 2020 SDCC exclusives Walmart will be selling this year from various companies. While no actual product for Hasbro is yet listed, there is this banner on display there that has logos for several Hasbro brands including G.I. Joe. We have no idea how many exclusives G.I. Joe might get this year. Rumors suggest that a 3 3/4" G.I. Joe "Retro" line is going to be offered exclusively at Walmart stores later this year, so it's possible that could be part of their SDCC offerings. We've even seen indications of some type of case containing nothing but "Retro" Snake-Eyes figures shipping to the US, so perhaps that will be the SDCC exclusive to kick off the entire line. While it seems like a good bet Walmart will be a place to get Hasbro's exclusives, it's not clear if all of Hasbro's exclusives will be offered through Walmart or if Walmart is the only place people will be able to get them. It also isn't clear if any of these exclusives will be available at physical stores or just online. All those details I am sure will be coming soon from Hasbro.
  16. These G.I. Joe statues from Pop Culture Shock Collectibles are inspired by their classic animated appearance and are 1/8 scale. Made of PVC, each includes a base for easy display. Look for Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and Snake-Eyes. You can pre-order these now from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
