    Akane Project

Hello everyone, I'm here today to submit a project of mine to you. Akane, a 20 cm PVC action figure totally original and made by me. All this was born as a game, I wanted to create a cartoon character for a comic but then since the project has run aground I thought to make it become something more tangible. I'm creating a crowdfunding to make this statuette but unfortunately the project is very ambitious and expensive. I hope you like Akane and can share my dream with your friends. Advice or criticism are always welcome, as you certainly have more experience of me in this field. If you like my project, please put a "like" and "share" it on social networks. If you really should superrrrrrrr like you also make a small "donation". Thank you all for your attention. 10. 3.75 inch Star Wars The Vintage Collection Solo. I really liked the Solo film, it’s a shame it didn’t do so well at the box office.
  11. Today at BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard Entertainment’s games and community convention in Anaheim, California, the company revealed a full lineup of global consumer products announcements for the tens of thousands of gamers in attendance and following along online via the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. Featured were previews and reveals for several upcoming 2019 products stemming from partnerships with The LEGO Group, Hasbro, UNIQLO and FUNKO, each highlighting new ways for fans to showcase their passion for the characters and settings of Blizzard’s globally acclaimed games, such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Diablo III. “Throughout 2018 our goal has been to give fans an abundance of new ways to express their affinity for their favorite Blizzard games, and it was exciting to be able to showcase our plans for 2019 and beyond today at BlizzCon,” said Matthew Beecher, Vice President of Global Consumer Products, Blizzard Entertainment. “We cherish these game worlds as much as our players do, and today’s reveals helped put a spotlight on how far we’ve come, through our stellar partnerships, in developing toys and apparel that reflect that shared passion.” As the master toy licensee for Overwatch, Hasbro revealed the OVERWATCH ULTIMATES MERCY figure, which is the first figure to be unveiled within its OVERWATCH ULTIMATES FIGURE assortment, coming to most major retailers next spring. Neca The Fog Captain Blake

This is a Great figure from Neca! A lot of great detail. The cloth goods are done really well and the light up eyes are a great idea, unfortunately the batteries were dead in mine.
  14. According to IGN, Todd McFarlane told them this past weekend during the New York Comic Con that he plans on bringing back his classic movie and monster action figure lines known as Movie Maniacs and Clive Barker's Tortured Souls, with an emphasis on direct to consumer sales. Something we have seen more and more companies do in recent years as retail shelf space for action figures gets smaller and smaller. There is no denying that McFarlane was one of the original pioneers of the "Adult Action Figure Collector" market here in the United States when he started his company McFalrane Toys back in the 90's, making figures for adults as opposed for kids. In recent years however McFarlane has in large part moved away from that demographic, concentrating more on big license name brands in order to gain a larger presence on the shelves of big box retailers such as Target and Walmart. Licenses such as Halo, NBA, MLB and Rick & Morty, even creating a new line of building block toys in order to try and compete with the likes of LEGO. During that same time, other companies such as NECA and Mezco have worked hard to fill that void left open by McFarlane, creating figures based on horror icons such as Jason, Freddy and Chucky, as well as Aliens and Predator. In fact I think many would argue that NECA not only filled that void but surpassed McFarlane by providing consumers with action figures that not only featured highly detailed sculpts and paints, but also had decent articulation. Something most McFarlane figures sorely lack even to this day, and something Todd himself has been very reluctant to incorporate into his products. So the question that is begged to be asked, do we really need Movie Maniacs anymore? Can McFarlane really make a comeback in niche market that he once helped create, or have his competitors far surpassed him to the point of no return? See images for some of McFarlane's older Movie Maniac figures below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

  21. With prices going up and quality (at least according to some) going down where do you think the hobby of action figure collecting goes from here? As someone who collects alot of different brands I think overall there is still a lot of cool stuff that gets released worth collecting. I do think its a sad time for 3.75" collectors. That scale seems to get little love from any company these days but IDK what do you all think?
  22. How's it going everyone! This is my 100% original custom Optimus Prime! He stands about 7.5" tall and is completely articulated and transformable. He was 3D modeled and engineered in solidworks, then 3D printed, primed, sanded, and painted. I took inspiration from Transformers Prime, as well as G1 to create this original design. He comes with two interchangeable heads, including a non-faceplated head and a battle mask head. Prime also comes with his Ion blaster, which has an engineered gear mechanism that allows it to collapse in truck mode. He also features a custom printed vinyl decal on his left shoulder in the final image that I drew in illustrator and had laser cut. Thanks for checking it out guys!
