First Look Images of Batman: Knightfall - Part 1 Released

Warner Bros. Animation and DC have shared highly anticipated first look images and poster for Batman: Knightfall - Part 1, sparking massive discussion across Reddit communities like r/batman.

The animated film will serve as the opening chapter of a planned trilogy adapting the legendary 1990s comic book arc where Bane breaks the Dark Knight. The film is directed by Jeff Wamester (Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths) and written by Jeremy Adams.

Part 1 will focus on Bane orchestrating the massive Arkham Asylum breakout. This exhausts Batman before their fateful showdown. Future installments are expected to cover the Knightquest and Knightsend storylines.

Batman: Knightfall - Part 1 is slated to premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival ahead of its wider public release.

Whatever happened to WB that they cannot deliver a proper trailer, for both this and Caped Crusader, just images?

Looks good, though. Mr Freeze is pretty badass and Bane is huge.

Man, love the art style, it totally looks like the original comic, down to Bruce looking worn out and old, and the ridiculously long ears. Bane is HUGE when on Venom too! And it seems we will have all the various costumes Azrael wore. Tons of villains appear too - Mr. Freeze, Joker, Riddler, Tally Man. Two-Face... And we have Nightwing, Robin, Jim Gordon too. This might actually be a proper adaptation and not a weird rewrite like Long Halloween was.
