  1. Choosing an outfit for your next video is always a difficult task - That is what a Toy YouTuber found out this week, as he was preparing to shoot his 19th 'Toy Collection Tour' video for his channel. "It has to look casual, but not too much. My 32 followers expect more from me" said the YouTuber. ToyFarce investigated... Sept 13th, San Diego, California. The Toy YouTuber (or ToyTuber, as coined by Bill from the Dorklair), who wished to remain anonymous, has decided that he will shoot a new Toy Collection Tour video this week. "I have added at least 3 new action figures to my collection since the last video, and I changed my display a little, so I think it's time to shoot another video..." said the ToyTuber. "At the moment, I'm stuck at picking my outfit for the video. I wouldn't want to have the same scandal as another YouTuber had... he wore the exact same t-shirt on multiple videos, causing an uproar in the community..." So what is the ideal outfit for a Toy Collection Tour video, you may ask. "In my opinion, it has to be a bit casual, but not too casual, so that the viewers don't think that I'm lazy or have a bad sense of style. I will barely be seen in the video, but I have to do an intro, at least. So there is a lot of effort done behind the scene, to make it look like there is no effort put in it." Picking the outfit is only the first part of the process. After that, the ToyTuber will dust and clean his entire room, so that it looks good on camera, and carefully pick all the right angles so that we do not see the empty boxes, piles of unopened toys, his Funko Pop collection, or the rest of his home in the video. More news at 11:00... "Do you think a Star Wars or Marvel t-shirt would be ok?" *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. "It's a dangerous job!" said the Youtuber, who wished to remain anonymous, after getting a papercut from the cardboard of one of the action figures he was opening live on Youtube. ToyFarce sat down with him for a recount of what happened. Viewers discretions is (probably) advised. "I was ready for the live show, I had all my tools ready (by tool, he means a pair of scissors, a cup of coffee and a snack). I had already said hi to the chat and gave each of them a shout out, and I had a lot of toys to open that day. I unboxed a few, and everything went fine: cut the tape, slide the insert out of the box, cut the plastic ties (why do they put so many, these days? Are they afraid the figures are going to escape?!), and play around with the figure a bit. But then, I got too comfortable, and didn't pay attention. As I slid my hand inside a box to grab the figure, the side of my finger slid against the cardboard and I got a terrible papercut. It really hurts!" The livestream then took a weird turn, as the youtuber was screaming words that are usually censored on Youtube. Quick on his feet, though, he turned the rest of the video into an unboxing for a box of bandages. "I feel like it was a great save, turning those skills that I learned through toy unboxing and using them on a box of Band-Aid, talking about the sculpt, articulations, paint apps..." The video has now been removed by the author from Youtube. More news at 11:00... Another Youtuber pinched his finger while assembling a figure and had to take a week off! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. It's a great weekend for toy collectors as we have the Hasbro Pulse Con and the Mezco Rumble Con going on on friday and saturday. Toys will be revealed, pre-orders will be placed and fun will be had! It will be the first ever Mezco Rumble Con, so we expect a lot of fun reveals for the Rumble Society line, but it will be the third Hasbro Pulse Con, and here are some tips that we have learned the previous years in order to make the most of it! The schedule is as follows: There is one simple trick to make the whole Hasbro Pulse Con experience better: Turn off the live chat instantly. For real. That's it! You will then be allowed to enjoy it! Sit back, grab your favorite snacks and beverage and just enjoy the show. Have fun, and hoping to see you all in the live chat… NOT! More news at 11:00... and don't forget about the Mezco Rumble Con reveals at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm ET on both days!
  4. It seem to happen a lot in our hobby: You get a new toy, you unbox it, and really enjoy it... then you watch a review of it from one of your favorite Youtubers (be it your Shartatron, DCEUCollector24, B-Amazing, Perpendicular Universe, ToyLad, etc...) and they hate it. Later, some would start to see the flaws in the figure and start to not like it that much anymore either. "It wasn't that great anyway..." some say to convince themselves. We sat down with Nicolas, a collector who now only buys toys that have been given a good review by his favorite Youtuber: "I used to buy lots of figures back then, before I started watching reviews on the internet. Now, I only buy figures that another person likes on the internet. It makes my life a lot easier. No way I will ever get another figure that the toy community end up not liking again." he said. "But I made a mistake... I had pre-ordered a figure, and it turns out it arrived early, so I didn't get to watch a review of it before I got it. Now, I don't know what to do. I kinda like it, but I don't know if the toy community will... I'm scared. What if they don't like it? What if they never review it?" We hope Nicolas will feel better soon, and that his opinion is validated by someone else on the internet. More news at 11:00... "...and don't forget to like and subscribe!"
