  1. Sometimes it's hard to tell when a company posts something on their social media pages if they are actually trying to tease an upcoming product or just looking for attention on social media. Late yesterday the folks at Super7 posted this video show the ThunderCats Thundertank. The caption read "Heading into the weekend like..." I have no idea if this was them trying to tell us something is coming or just a random post. Even if this post was meant to tease an upcoming Thundertank, it could just as easily be for their 3.75" ReAction line as it could be for their 7" Ultimates line. My guess most fans would love this to be a hint for a 7" Ultimates Thundertank, but at this point I wouldn't get my hopes up to much for that happening. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKFfoIdsszo/ Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION, would you like to see Super7 do a 7" scale Thundertank, or even a 3.75" ReAction one?
  2. Do you think HASBRO can make 3 3/5 figures of the Inhumanoids (Humans) characters? I remember the orginal figures too big for my taste, but the cartoon was similar to GI JOE in very aspects, like vehicles, villians, armory, etc... I like how charcters were portrayed, Auger, Blackthorne, Nightcrawler, Sabre Jet, Dr. Derek Bright, Herc Armstrong, Tank, Jonathan Slattery, etc...
  3. It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! It's time for ANIMANIACS! This week, we're having a look at the Animaniacs Ultimates! figures from Super7. Working through the pile of unopened toys, I was looking forward to get to those. I've been a fan of the show since I was a kid and, apart from the McDonalds Animaniacs Happy meal toys, we never really got any toys or merch from them... until now! The Animaniacs was an animated TV series produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment that ran between 1993 and 1998 (and came back for 3 seasons in 2020). It was a variety show full of wackiness and pop culture references, with loads of great characters. As usual with Super7, the figures come in big boxes, each of them having their own 'shipper boxes' (the kind of boxes that Hot Toys collectors seem to consider is part of the figure, since a Hot Toys figure without the brown shipper box is considered 'incomplete' by some). So, yay! Shipper boxes! The boxes all have a sleeve too, with the logo of the cartoon on the front. First, the Warner brothers (and the Warner sister), who are the main characters of the Animaniacs show. It feels pretty great to hold those 7-inch scale, articulated figures in hand after not having toys of them for so long! The figures themselves are pretty decent, the articulations are a bit hindered by the design (big heads,...), but they also come with a ton of accessories to make up for it. Yakko comes an alternate head with a graduation cap, 5 extra hands, an alternate tail, a stick of dynamite, a bag of fun, and a blackboard with the world map, with pointer, to recreate the amazing 'Yakko's World' sketch (link here). Wakko comes with an extra head with spartan helmet, 7 extra hands, an alternate tail, a mallet, a stick of dynamite, a blackboard with the United states, along with a violin and box, to recreate 'Wakko's America' (link here). Dot, the Warner sister, comes with 2 extra heads, 7 extra hands (including a butterfly and a flower), an alternate tail, a stick of dynamite and a duck pool floatie. Those boxes are FILLED with accessories. "Gee Brain, what are we gonna do tonight? - The same thing we do every night, try to take over the world!” Pinky and the Brain (Fun fact: they are called 'Minus and Cortex' in French) are also very fun figure, and also come with a ton of stuff. Pinky is a bit easier to handle than Brain, since Brain has a huge head that is a bit heavy, so he's not really easy to pose. Mine also has one foot that is a bit loose, which does not help. Pinky has 2 extra heads, 8 extra hands (including one with a pen), lots of lab equipment (beakers, machines,...), a notepad and a photo. Brain comes an extra head, 7 extra hands, a paper blueprint or one of their plan, lab equipements (beakers, ...), a paperclip, a pointer, a globe keyring and the giant magnet we see them use in the opening of the show. More news at 11:00... Helloooooo nurse!

  6. he folks at Fwoosh sat down with Super7's Brian Flynn where he where he talked about various products including Ultimates ThunderCats and TMNT figures. Highlights from the interview include the following: ThunderCats have been planned out so far through wave 7 with 4 waves coming 2021. Brian stated the primary source material used for these figures is the classic cartoon and not the vintage toy line. Wave 2 are the last figures being made at the original factory Mattel used for the line. Starting with Wave 3 they have gone back to their own factories for ThunderCats. The wave 2 figures because of the Mattel factory, is likely going to see their release delayed until after the Chinese New Year, which takes place in February. Wave 3 however should see release a month later followed by wave 4 a month after that. Due to the delay of wave 2, there is a possibility they will do something special as an apology for the delay. Wave 5 won't be revealed until wave 2 ships. The 1st wave of TMNT Ultimates figures will almost definitely be re-issued with minor alterations, so folks who missed out on the initial release can still get them at a reasonable cost. The minor alteration will likely be something like a slight variation to the weapons rack colors. Wave 2 should ship out from the factory in October/November. Wave 3 will ship out from the factory after the Chinese New Year in March. The April O'Neil headsculpt has been drastically changed since the images we saw. It will have a much more cartoon feel to it. There will also be an alternate head with headphones on. They will be incorporating variant Turtles in the line. Wave 4 will be revealed and go up for pre-order in October. A Ultimates Usagi Yojimbo figure will be coming in 2021. Like ThunderCats, they have already planned out TMNT through wave 7. For their Disney Ultimates line they are looking to do straight up plain Disney characters right now like a standard Mickey Mouse. They are looking to do more off the beaten path characters. By the time they get to wave 6 and 7 Brian feels like you will be able to see a pattern of what they are trying to accomplish with the line. Robin Hood will be in wave 2 which will be shown in January. They have 4 waves planned for 2021.

  9. Super7 has announced officially that they will be doing Godzilla based products including 3 3/4" ReAction figures this year and in 2022 7" Ultimates figures. See the press release below: Super7 is excited to collaborate with Toho International, Inc. to bring the King of the Monsters into its world of ReAction figures and more. The debut 3.75" articulated Godzilla ReAction figure is scheduled to arrive this summer, along with a capsule collection, offering various products, including apparel and accessories. More Godzilla product will follow later in the year, escalating in 2022 with ULTIMATES! figures. “It is not a stretch to say that Godzilla may be the most important license to Super7’s history, and one we hold with possibly too much reverence,” said Super7 Founder & Owner, Brian Flynn. “The genesis of Super7 started with Godzilla, and we can’t wait to add that same Super7 love and affection to Godzilla’s future.” Super7 launched in 2001 as a magazine filled with content about collecting vintage Godzilla toys; from Marusan and Bullmark vinyl figures, die-casts and tin toys, to Shogun Warriors, featuring characters from Hedorah and Kamikaras to Rodan and Mothra. The first toy Super7 produced was a grey color variant of the Baremodel 1954 Godzilla, sold through a coupon available only in the first issue of the Super7 magazine in 2001. “It was here that we started with our love for a giant rubber suited reptilian phenomenon,” added Flynn. “Super7 oozes that cool factor in all its products, so we’re thrilled to bring Godzilla into their portfolio of premium products, including the popular ReAction Figures, ULTIMATES! line and more,” said Lora Cohn, Managing Director, Toho International, Inc. “Beyond quality products, Super7 brings so much meaning to Godzilla, with a team deeply passionate about the brand. We’re excited to offer this all-new line of products based on the King of the Monsters, and we think fans can truly feel the passion and love put into them.” ReAction Figures celebrate the iconic action figure of our childhood. The unique size and sculpting style is simple while allowing the imagination to go all in on daily adventures. With ReAction Figures, Super7 continues the classic action figure style while making the figures we wished we had while growing up. Super7’s super articulated ULTIMATES! 7” figures are the premiere fan product. They are made-toorder figures that come with a huge assortment of extra features, making them the most exceptionally intricate expressions of the character that can possibly be made.

  14. Super7 is thrilled to announce the beginning of what we imagine will be an amazing creative partnership between Super7 and our childhood heroes over at Disney. It begins today, with the launch of our first three Disney collectibles: a trio of Ultimates! Figures commemorating some of our favorite characters from the formative years of the Magic Kingdom. It will continue with...well, you’ll just have to wait and see. Ultimates! Figures are the perfect medium for our Disney launch. They provide an opportunity to serve up all bells and whistles; the ability to create something truly unique for both the Super7 and Disney obsessive fan. Our approach, as with everything, was to dig beneath the surface to find the spirit and the angles that allow us to make the toys we always wanted. The details expressed in each Ultimates! Figure are unrivaled; exactly what you want when you’re working with the classics. And the care taken to create each? That, too, is on another level. As to who gets this very special treatment, we dove deep and emerged with a few that have always held a special place in our hearts. Ones that represent the Super7 way of looking at the world. Here’s the exclusive lineup: Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse From the timeless animated classic Fantasia comes Mickey Mouse, in the role that captured our imaginations as far back as we can remember. We used that same kind of big dreaming, hustle, know-how and a little bit of magic to bring this little marvel to life. Our first Disney toy ever is super poseable and features three interchangeable expressive heads, interchangeable hands, two water buckets, animated broom, axe and the Sorcerer’s giant spell book. The Ultimates Sorcerer’s Apprentice is also dressed in a tailored, velvety-soft wizard robe with a real rope tied waistband. Pinocchio One of the darkest, wildest, most incredible stories ever set to animation cels, Pinocchio gave us nightmares for years, and a hard-won set of lessons for the rest of our lives. The puppet with a penchant for tall tales and a curiosity for life reflected our deep yearning for adventure, and to fit in – perfectly telling the tale of becoming the person you’re meant to be. Super7’s Ultimates! Pinocchio is a super poseable action figure with 3 interchangeable heads showing his growing nose, interchangeable hands, his conscience Jiminy Cricket (of course), school book, axe, apple, Cleo’s fishbowl, Figaro the Cat, and a smart fabric vest with gold trim. Prince John Truly one of the great cartoon villains, Prince John and his maneless, spineless monarchy is a masterclass in political mismanagement; one he pays dearly for. Particularly with Robin Hood stealing John’s resources any time his back is turned. The Prince John Ultimates! super poseable action figure features three interchangeable heads, interchangeable hands with and without the jewels of his rings, two versions of the slithering assistant Sir Hiss, a vanity mirror, and a luxurious, plush velvet regal robe with fur trim. These will be priced individually at $45 or in a set for $135. Once again, we’re thrilled that Disney has given us this rare opportunity to bring our point of view to characters and experiences that helped define our own childhood. We hope you like them—and we can’t wait to show you what else we’re making from our favorite Disney moments from film, TV, and Parks.
