It's (finally) October, and it's time to tell spooky stories! This month, ToyFarce will try to dive into the shocking, terrible and horrifying side of toy collecting! The New York Toy Fair is still ongoing and it seems it was too much for one particular collector... ToyFarce met at a mental institution with James, a collector from New York, who lost his mind during the New York Toy Fair reveals: "There was too many! Too many!!! What am I supposed to do?!" said James, worried. "Not only, all the big names came up with great new stuff, but there's also newer brands that blew everything out of the water. Have you heard of Trick-or-Treat studios?? They have some great horror figures, zombies, the Goosebump license, and Gwar! GWAR!! I'm losing my mind! And now, for some reason, I need a giant clock tower for mu Gargoyles! Aaaah!" The doctors explained to ToyFarce that the excitement and the thrill of all the Toy Fair reveals took James over the edge, and that he will require some time to recover. More news at 11:00... and there's still 2 more days of Toy Fair...

The New York Toy Fair is upon us! Starting tomorrow, the Javits Center will host the 2023 edition of the Toy Fair in New York City, and hundreds of upcoming toys will be teased or revealed (if you're Mezco, it means the same thing!). Thousands of toy collectors, including yours truly, will spend the next 4 days refreshing their browsers/feeds in order to see what new toys they will look forward to, or complain about for the foreseeable future! ToyFarce sat down with a collector from New Jersey to talk about the Toy Fair excitement: "I spent the last few days training my fingers to be able to press F5 on my browser the whole weekend, and swiping the page up on my phone to refresh the social media feeds. I'm HYPED! Really looking forward to see what all the brands will show so that I can know what to complain about and what to make my entire personality about for the next few months, before eventually buying the items in the end anyways, so that I can complain more about them!" I guess everybody is looking for something different when it comes to toy reveals... and hopefully, there is something for everybody at the New York Toy Fair this weekend! What are you looking forward to the most from Toy Fair? Any wishes? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... Starting a prayer circle for our collective wallets! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!

It's Toy Fair week! The New York Toy Fair will take place this Saturday, from the Javits Center in New York City. The event will run from September 30th to Tuesday, October 3rd. As usual, there will be a ton of exciting new reveals about upcoming toys, but one collector secretly wishes for an uneventful Toy Fair... ToyFarce investigated. "I still have to recoup from SDCC... and PulseCon... and there's the New York Comic Con in a couple of weeks..." said the collector. "I really hope that Toy Fair will have nothing for me this year. The toy companies need to understand that we're only people, and can't sustain that level of constant excitement and reveals and events. Having literally all of the events and conventions and shows taking place in the same couple of months is not nice! You gotta let us breathe a little! We need time to replenish our bank accounts!" Several other collectors share the same view, and wish for the New York Toy Fair to take place in February, as it did before. "This was a tradition: The Toy Fair at the beginning of the year to show us all the items we will buy that year! Having it in September, 2 weeks before NYCC is too much... I feel a lot of reveals might get lost in the shuffle." More news at 11:00... (Toy) Fair enough! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!

Mezco for their latest Toy Fair preview have announced a new line of figures they call 5-Points. The two figures shown for this new line are based on Hanna-Barbera properties with Birdman and Elias Kingston from Scooby-Doo. The line seems to be named for the amount of articulation these figures will have but it is unkown what scale these will be done in. Our guess is in that 4" neighborhood but we will have to wait for Toy Fair to know for sure. Toy Fair begins this Saturday, 2/16.
