Prime Video released the official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Amazon Original series Gen V. Amazon's Prime Video has revealed two new Season four superheroes, Firecracker and Sister Sage. Firecracker is played by Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward plays Sister Sage. Both costumes are designed by Laura Jean Shannon, who designed the look for Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy.

Amazon Prime took the announcement to Twitter that The Walking Dead alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined the cast of Amazon’s The Boys for Season 4 as a recurring guest star. Character details are remaining under wraps. Morgan has worked with The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke before on Supernatural. Kripke created Supernatural and Morgan played John Winchester in a recurring capacity. Morgan plays Negan in AMC's The Walking Dead, which is currently airing its 11th and final season. Morgan will reprise the role in the upcoming spin-off series Dead City set to premiere in 2023.

Prime Video today announced it has officially ordered a fourth season of its hit Emmy-nominated series The Boys, co-produced with Sony Pictures Television, following the explosive premiere of its third season. The Boys released the first three episodes of Season Three on Friday, June 3 with new episodes available each Friday, leading up to the epic season finale on July 8. The eight-episode season streams exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Over the first three days of its third season, the worldwide audience for The Boys has grown by +17% from season two, and +234% from season one. The Boys franchise also now includes an eight-episode anthology animated series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, now streaming on Prime Video, as well as the Untitled Boys Spinoff, set at America's only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes, which is currently in production.

Deadline is reporting that Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi have been signed on for high-profile recurring roles in Prime Video’s college-set spinoff of The Boys. Amazon Prime has released the first look photo of Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk for the third season of The Boys. No release date has been provided for the third season.

The third season of The Boys will see new faces including The Walking Dead's alum Laurie Holden in the recurring role of Crimson Countess, which can be seen in the new image below. Additional cast added to the new season will be Supernatural vet Jensen Ackles as the very first Superhero, Soldier Boy, Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk, Miles Gaston Villanueva and Sean Patrick Flannery will play Supersonic and Gunpowder. Kristin Booth and Jack Doolan will portray Tessa and Tommy, aka the TNT Twins. The third season doesn't have a premiere date at Prime Video.

NECA today rounding out their Comic-Con At Home coverage released a few teaser images for upcoming products so that we might guess what they are. The first tease they posted were some images of weapons. This one seems fairly obvious. Our best guess would be that these weapons are for more 8" Retro figures based on the movie "They Live". The Shotgun looks very much like the one coming with the 8" Cloth Retro Nada figure they have coming out very soon. We are thinking maybe a new 2-pack with a second version of Nada and Frank Armitage. Of course we would love to see NECA do 7" Ultimate figures based on They Live, but the 8" Cloth Retro figures seem more likely. The second tease is obviously some kind of heat vision effect piece. Since NECA has previously done DC Comic based figures, you might think this was a tease for some kind of new Superman figure. Based on conversations I've had with NECA, I don't think any more DC Comic based figures are in the cards for them anytime soon, but there is another super being who is well know for using heat vision. Meet Homelander from the hit Amazon series titled "The Boys". The Boys which basically tells a story about superheroes going rogue will soon see the release of a second on the Amazon streaming service, and has already been renewed for a third season. If you haven't seen season 1, we highly recommend you check it out. So our best guess is that NECA is teasing that they have obtained the license to do figures based on this series and if so, we hope they go the 7" Ultimate route as opposed to the 8" Retro Cloth one.

Amazon Prime Video released today the long awaited first-look of Jensen Ackles in the Soldier Boy supersuit for Season 3 of the hit series THE BOYS. The Super Suit was designed by Laura Jean Shannon and concept artist Greg Hopwood. When designing the Soldier Boy Super Suit, Shannon noted, Knowing that Soldier Boy is a fan-favorite character from the original graphic novels, Showrunner Eric Kripke knew the importance of the Super Suit, saying,

Amazon Prime Video has announced that Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) will be joining the cast of the hit series The Boys for Season 3. The casting news was made on Ackles' social media account. Ackles will portray Soldier Boy - the original Superhero. After Soldier Boy fought in World War II, he became the first super celebrity, and a mainstay of American culture for decades. Showrunner and Executive Producer of The Boys Eric Kripke stated, "When I was a child, I had a crazy, impossible dream - to provide Jensen Ackles with gainful employment. I'm happy to say that dream has come true. Jensen is an amazing actor, an even better person, smells like warm chocolate chip cookies, and I consider him a brother. As Soldier Boy, the very first Superhero, he'll bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role. I can't wait to be on set with him again, and bring a bit of Supernatural to The Boys." The pick-up of Season 3 of The Boys was announced during their SDCC panel on July 23rd. Season 2 will premiere on Friday, September 4th, with new episodes available weekly through October 9th.
