  1. We are just a few days away from the official release of Hasbro's next round of Target exclusive G.I. Joe Classified 6" Cobra Island figures which includes the Cobra Viper and Firefly. This is a time of excitement and dread for Joe collectors as both figures are expected to be quit difficult to find on shelves come January 1, which the official on-sale date for the figures. The pre-orders for both of them sold out in seconds back when they were originally listed on the Target website. The figures first started showing up at physical Target stores in CA last week but are technically embargoed from being sold until New Years day. The exact number of figures stores are getting in stock initially is not entirely clear, but from what I can tell it is looking like one case for each figure which comes out to 6 figures for each. Similar to what we saw with the first wave of these Cobra Island exclusives. The Viper being an army builder will likely be the tougher of the two figures to find. I do expect more figure to also be made available online at some point, possibly on the first. Even if they are made available again online on the first, the exact time of day when they would be made available is completely unknown, and once they go up they likely will only last minutes before selling out again. The Target exclusive figures have been a point of high contention which their difficulty in obtaining for many collectors, causing some to just simply wash their hands of the line. Hasbro has promised to try and make these figures more readily available, but at this point I don't think many have much faith in that happening. The Viper figures are already going for over $100 on eBay. I suspect if these two figures continue to be hard to get like the first wave of exclusive were, even more collectors will simply walk away from the line and look to collect something a little more easier to obtain. All I will say is DON"T FEED THE SCALPERS. Anyway while the official sale date isn't until this Friday, a few lucky collectors have managed to snag the figures early. One such collector is Monkey-Paw-Pics who has posted some of the first in-hand images of the Cobra Viper which you can check out below.
  2. Shown below via @richhud89_ is a look at a few more Target store exclusive Spectrum Series figures for Hasbro's Power Rangers 6" Lightning Collection line which are hitting shelves now. These figures had not been officially announced by Hasbro for this Spectrum variant line, but you can see the two new deluxe/monster King Sphinx and Pumpkin Rapper figures as well as the Space Red Ranger with Astronema 2-pack are getting the foil package treatment. Again these Spectrum versions are exclusive to Target stores, but the regular versions will be released at other places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  3. We are just a few days away until Hasbro's next Fan-Friday G.I. Joe event, where new reveals are expected to be made on the 6" Classified front. While I know a couple of non-exclusive figures will be announced on Friday, I suspect we will also be seeing more in the way of Target store exclusives. Up until now, hearing the words Target and G.I. Joe exclusives in the same sentence has caused more dread among collectors than the thought of Cobra Commander conquering the world. Back during PulseCon, Hasbro announced two new Target exclusives with Firefly and the Cobra Viper trooper. Both figures had pre-orders that sold out in seconds. The first wave of Target exclusive G.I. Joe Classified figures, which included a Cobra Trooper, Roadblock v2, Beach Head and Baroness with bike also had pre-orders sell out in seconds, Even today they are still very difficult to find and buy at cost. So if we see more Target exclusive figures announced this coming Friday, will there be any real chance of folks being able to get them? I can't say for sure, but I will say that perhaps we got a glimmer of hope in the way of Marvel Legends yesterday. Yesterday Target had up for pre-order two high demand Marvel Legends figures. They had the X-Men Retro Rogue and Gambit figures available for the first time. While the pre-orders for both figures have since sold out, they lasted longer than a few seconds. Rogue was available for over an hour, and Gambit lasted a good part of the day. The reason why those figures didn't sell out in seconds is because Target FINALLY started limiting them to one purchase per person. Target has also been stocking the Marvel Legends exclusives better recently. Both the Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack and Red Hulk figures are currently available for purchase, even though initial stock had sold out. I can't predict what will happen on Friday, but if we see very popular G.I. Joe character(s) announced as Target exclusives, we can only hope Hasbro and Target will give Joe collectors the same respect they've recently been showing Marvel ones. The Hasbro G.I. Joe Live-Stream will take place this Friday (11/20) at 11am ET. Check back here for complete coverage and highlights for everything announced.
  4. NECA has put up for pre-order on their NECA STORE website two of the Target store exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animates Series 2-packs. For those who have yet to find these at Target stores, you now have between now and next Friday(9/04) at 11AM EST to pre-order the Rocksteady And Bebop set and/or the Slash And Leatherhead set. Each set will cost $51.99 each plus shipping and handling. These are being done as made-to-order products so you won't have to worry about them selling out. You do have to pay upfront and are limiting these at two per person. They have not yet said when these pre-orders will start shipping out to folks.
