  1. Chucky himself held a press conference in D.C. to announce that the third season of his show will premiere on October 4th on Syfy and USA Network. Check out the full press conference in the video above. Chucky follows the murderous escapades of the notorious killer doll. He crosses paths with archenemies, old allies, and new prey as he seeks to inspire fear and mayhem wherever he goes. After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in Season 1, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy. After having escaped their new Catholic school, can “Jevon” keep their relationship alive and best Chucky once and for all — this time in the nation’s capital?
  2. The first teaser trailer for Chucky, the TV series has been released. The series is set to premiere in 2021 to the USA Network and Syfy. Brad Dourif, the 1988 original voice of Chucky is set to return. Jennifer Tilly is also aboard. After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins, as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
  3. Check out the first trailer for SYFY's Day of the Dead, the ultimate love letter to the godfather of zombies, George A. Romero. Day of the Dead comes to SYFY this October 15th. DAY OF THE DEAD follows a group of strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion. This ode to George A. Romero’s famous flesh-eaters reminds us that sometimes all it takes to bring people together is a horde of hungry zombies trying to rip them apart.
  4. The USA Network and Syfy Network has selected the series regulars and teen leads for the Chucky project from the movie franchise creator/writer Don Mancini. The series was greenlit and ordered straight-to-series last year. Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Teo Briones (Ratched), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak) and Björgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day) are set to star as series regulars and the four teen leads. Jennifer Tilly, reprising her role as Tiffany Valentine from the movies, and Devon Sawa (Final Destination) will recur on the project. The new Chucky incarnation revolves around the character at the center of the horror/slasher Child’s Play film series, the red-haired, freckled-faced doll possessed by the soul of notorious serial killer, Charles Lee Ray. In the television series, after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster. The series is executive produced by creator-showrunner Mancini and produced by UCP, David Kirschner, Harley Peyton as well as Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund via Antosca’s studio-based Eat the Cat banner. Mancini will direct the first episode with filming set to begin next month in Toronto. Arthur will play Jake Webber. An easy target for Chucky, Jake is a loner trying to find his place in the world after his mom’s death while never connecting with his dad or his peer. Briones will play Junior Webber. Bree and Logan’s son and Jake’s cousin. He is the all-American, over-achieving, jock – the opposite of his loner cousin Jake. Lind is Lexy Taylor. Self-appointed princess of her school and Jake’s primary bully, who also dates his cousin Junior. Arnarson portrays Devon Lopez. Boy-next-door and true-crime junkie, Devon is hellbent on making sense of Hackensack’s mysterious tragedies, both past and present. Devon Sawa’s character is being kept under wraps.

The international sensation spawned six sequels, all of which Mancini wrote and Kirschner produced. 10. According to Deadline, the SyFy network has opted not to renew Krypton for a 3rd season. The Superman origin drama series ended with the August 14th Season 2 finale and with this series getting canceled, Syfy also won’t be proceeding with the previously announced Lobo spinoff, which had been in development. Sources are reporting that Krypton producer Warner Horizon Scripted Television is in conversations with other outlets and the upcoming HBO Max streaming platform are considered the most logical options as DC content has been a focus for both. Past seasons of Krypton already run on DC Universe. Season 1 is currently streaming on DC Universe, with Season 2 coming in 2020.
