  1. This week was the 9th week of Hasbro's Star Wars team "Bring Home The Galaxy" announcements, and among them, we got yet another batch of Boba Fett repaints. This time, they were Star Wars: The Vintage Collection figures, with a 'comic art edition' and a 'vintage comic art edition'. With the success of those, ToyFarce heard that the next batch is already in development, with the color patterns decided by... a kindergarten class? It was thursday morning, in a nice Kindergarten in Missouri, when the teacher gave the children their next assignments: "Today, we are going to color Boba Fett pictures, and the best ones will be made into action figures by Hasbro!", she said. "Yaaaay!" said the children. We managed to get a few descriptions from the children: "I am going to paint him yellow and green, because I love corn!" said Dylan, sitting in the front of the class. "I wanted to color him in purple, but Charlie told me at recess that I should add some green too." explained Jimmy, 3. "I colored him all red so he looks like a big apple!" said Lara, 4 years old. "All the pencils were already borrowed, so I picked the only ones that were available. I didn't really care." told Logan. What colors would you like to see your Star Wars TVC: Boba Fett? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... You get a Boba Fett! You get a Boba Fett! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. Instagram user jedipatrick got his hands on Hasbro's new Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Carbon-Freezing Chamber Playset a little early and decided to enhance it with a few slight modifications. You can pre-order this set minus that modifications from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

  4. Hasbro’s new Vintage Collection line has been pretty hit and miss for me as many of the figures released so far are very similar to the ones in the Wal-Mart exclusive Black Series assortments over the past several years. Obviously the packaging is different with the new ones featuring the classic Kenner-like cardbacks, but the opened figured don’t have much appeal to me. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Vintage Collection packaging looks a lot better than the Black Series. If you are a MOC collector, you might find picking the figures up a second time worthwhile but not me. The new Imperial Assault Tank Driver is one of the first figures that interested me. I do think this figure should have been included with the recently released Imperial Tank, but that’s a conversation for another time. We already talked about the figure packaging, so let’s move on to the figure itself. The only accessory included with is a standard Imperial Rifle which he holds well in either hand or in decent two-handed poses. The armor is your basic black and white Stormtrooper colors, but Hasbro gave the figure a nice wash for that dirty armor look. The sculpting on the figure is almost identical to the basic version but has more articulation. The scale is decent and fits in with the other Rogue One-based Imperial Officers released as part of the aforementioned Wal-Mart exclusive Black Series line. The figure also fits well in the Vintage Collection Imperial Tank. The articulation is on par with other figures in the line with features like single-hinged swivel elbows and knees. I wouldn’t call this a super-articulated figure, but it gets the job done. If you planned on or already bought the Vintage Collection Imperial Tank or just want to grow your Imperial ranks, then I would say grab this one if you can. Right now, it is available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  5. Shown below are official images of the new figures included in Hasbro's second wave of 3.75" Star Wars: Vintage Collection figures. Shown are carded and loose images for Han Solo (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Imperial Assault Tank Driver (Rogue One) which will go nicely with the Vintage Collection Imperial Tank vehicle hitting shelves now. Enfy's Nest (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Imperial Death Trooper (Rogue One) which is a re-release from the previous Walmart exclusive 3.75" Black Series line. While Enfy's Nest does not come with a Swoop Bike, you should be able to use the Force Link 2.0 version with this figure. Other figures that will be included in the assortment include repacks from wave 1 which are not shown here. - First Order Stormtrooper (The Force Awakens) - Kylo Ren (The Force Awakens) - Rey [Jakku] (The Force Awakens) - Supreme Leader Snoke (The Last Jedi) Wave 2 should start hitting shelves here in the US in August.
