  8. Last week we first told you how overseas company Flame Toys was going to be expanding into G.I. Joe with a new Snake-Eyes figure for their Hito Kara Kuri line. Well now it looks like they will also be doing a version of Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow for their Furai model kit line. The figures in this line generally stand between 5-6" tall and they have around 40-50 moving parts. The price on them tend to be in the $40-$50 neighborhood. 11. Looks like we might be seeing a 2020 SDCC Exclusive from Hasbro for G.I. Joe this year which would be really cool. The bad news is that it looks like Walmart will be the place to get it. Since the actual San Diego Comic Con itself has been canceled, at least the physical version, many have been wondering how or where they will be able to get their hands on Hasbro's exclusives this year. Well Walmart has launched a Comic-Con exclusive section on their website which features a countdown clock showing just over 4 days until launch (As I post this). This section appears to be an area comprised of various 2020 SDCC exclusives Walmart will be selling this year from various companies. While no actual product for Hasbro is yet listed, there is this banner on display there that has logos for several Hasbro brands including G.I. Joe. We have no idea how many exclusives G.I. Joe might get this year. Rumors suggest that a 3 3/4" G.I. Joe "Retro" line is going to be offered exclusively at Walmart stores later this year, so it's possible that could be part of their SDCC offerings. We've even seen indications of some type of case containing nothing but "Retro" Snake-Eyes figures shipping to the US, so perhaps that will be the SDCC exclusive to kick off the entire line. While it seems like a good bet Walmart will be a place to get Hasbro's exclusives, it's not clear if all of Hasbro's exclusives will be offered through Walmart or if Walmart is the only place people will be able to get them. It also isn't clear if any of these exclusives will be available at physical stores or just online. All those details I am sure will be coming soon from Hasbro.
  12. Looks like Hasbro is going to be giving G.I. Joe the same hi-end role-play treatment they have done for other lines including Marvel Legends, Star Wars, Power Rangers and Ghostbusters. Today they announced this new G.I. Joe Snake-Eyes mask which will be sold as a Gamestop exclusive and cost $119. There aren't many details on the mask but it will be released in October.

  14. Sketch Things, in this review gives us his best version of the classic G.I. Joe #21 Silent Interlude comic which featured Snake-Eyes and had no words. In this case he takes a look at the new Hasbro 6" G.I. Joe Classified exclusive version of Snake-Eyes figure without saying one word. This exclusive version of the figure is offered currently only through Hasbro's website for $39.99. While not yet officially confirmed by Hasbro, there should be a non-exclusive version of Snake-Eyes without as many accessories or fancy packaging released in the regular line. Besides Snak-Eyes, the first wave in the regular line will include Scarlet, Duke, Roadblock and one other which is rumored to be Destro. The regular version of Snake-Eyes should only cost $20. Wave one of the G.I. Joe Classified figures is available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. In the video you get a really nice look at all the articulation this figure features which seems to rival even the best Marvel Legends figures currently on the market. 15. IDW Publishing is proud to share the first look at SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME #1, the first issue of an explosive new comic book miniseries written and illustrated by Rob Liefeld (X-Force, Deadpool)! Snake Eyes has long been the most mysterious member of the G.I. JOE team, but within the pages of DEADGAME, he’ll finally be forced to play his hand! How long can he keep his past classified… and what deadly secrets will come back to haunt him? “G.I. JOE was my first obsession. Those were the toys in the sandbox with me, kung fu grip, eagle eye, I had them all. G.I. JOE is a world of characters that I have always aspired to participate in,” says Liefeld. “Snake Eyes was a profound influence on my creating Deadpool. Producing this series is an all-time bucket list achievement for me.” “I’ve seen Rob’s excitement about G.I. JOE for years,” says John Barber, IDW Editor-In-Chief. “I’m thrilled and amazed to see it all finally coming together in the biggest SNAKE EYES comic book in decades — maybe ever! 17. Global play and entertainment group Hasbro Inc. today announced a collaboration with footwear brand ASICS to create all-new colorways inspired by two fan-favorite G.I. Joe characters: Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. The special edition GEL-LYTE III shoes and coordinating apparel and accessories from New Era and Hex will be available exclusively at Foot Locker stores worldwide February 22, 2019. The line is inspired by an epic chapter in the G.I. Joe lore: the rivalry between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. Once brothers in arms as part of the Arashikage Clan, they find themselves on opposing sides of the struggle between G.I. Joe and Cobra. Now Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes each adorn their own GEL-LYTE III shoe designed by world renowned pop artist Anderson Bluu. Uncompromising on style and comfort, the GEL-LYTE III boasts iconic and innovative design that wouldn’t be complete without the split tongue and ASICS’ famous GEL® technology cushioning; a silicone-like material that effectively absorbs shock and protects the feet from high-impact strikes. The black Snake Eyes model features a crystal rubber outsole with a discovery element, premium emblem and reflective detailing with black leather; the model is elevated and modernized with custom art on the insert. The white Storm Shadow model features a crystal rubber outsole which masks the character beneath while the premium emblem detailing grounds the model in the story. Through the intertwining of story and design aesthetic the model is elevated and modernized with custom art on the insert. On the bottom of both shoe models is an iced outsole revealing Zartan – a shadowy figure who plays a key part in the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow story. “ASICS has a solid reputation of launching innovative designs to consumers across the globe and we are proud to bring G.I. Joe characters to life in an entirely original way,” said Casey Collins, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Entertainment and Licensing at Hasbro. “We know fans and collectors will appreciate the care and detail ASICS has taken in every aspect of the release from the shoe detailing to the packaging.” “We were inspired by the story of Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes to create these shoes in collaboration with Hasbro,” said Lindsey Sweeney, Global GM Sportstyle Footwear, ASICS. “The characters represent a true Yin and Yang – a duality and symmetry that link their lives together – and we were excited to take that inspiration to our GEL-LYTE III® model.” The ASICS x G.I. JOE shoes will be sold exclusively at FootLocker.com and select POP by Foot Locker doors because Knowing is Half the Battle. G.I. JOE and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro and are used with permission. © 2019 Hasbro. All Rights Reserved. Licensed by Hasbro.
  18. Variety is reporting that sources have informed them that Robert Schwentke is in early talks to direct Paramount’s "G.I. Joe" spinoff, "Snake Eyes." The script is being penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos with Brian Goldner among those producing the feature based on the Hasbro toys. Both Paramount and Hasbro has been trying to work a new spin for the G.I. Joe movies, even turning to a writers’ room to form new ideas. Snake Eyes is a silent ninja commando who dresses in all black, never reveals his face, and doesn’t speak. He stands out among the military anti-terrorist group and quickly establishes himself as the most popular. He has a special relationship with Scarlett, the team’s one-time only female member, and sometimes carries out solo missions with his pet wolf, Timber. His archenemy is Storm Shadow, a ninja who is also his blood brother.
