  1. When it was announced that we would be getting a Tim Drake Robin in the McFarlane Super Powers line, I hoped it would be this version of the suit. But since it wasn't, I decided to make my own. Using the McFarlane Super Powets Robin as a base, Hush Batman belt, and head from my fodder bin. I cobbled together this. The cape is from the Batman Returns figure, and is just a place holder until I order a proper Batman styled double sided cape from the one and only, Capemaster. Hope you enjoy this take, and hit the like button if you do. As always, more to come.
  2. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Batman Forever one sixth scale figures from Hot Toys. These are figures that we weren't sure would ever actually come out, but Hot Toys actually put them up for pre-order back in February 2021, so there was hope! And now, they are here! Yay... not? Both packaging are really nice and quite colorful, just like the movie was. It has a sleeve with a picture of the figure on the front and all the legalities in the back. Under the sleeve, you can see the figure through a window (although both figures are covered with protective plastic so you can't see them very well...). First off, Batman, as portrayed by Val Kilmer in 1995, in his Sonar Suit which he wears at the end of the movie, after the Riddler (played by Jim Carrey) destroyed the Batcave. Batman (Sonar Suit) comes with a ton of accessories. He has 7 extra hands, 2 versions of his batarang (open and closed), a grapnel launcher with a wire that can be attached to it, the batarang blade weapon that can attach to his hand, the underwater thruster from the movie, and a stand. His eyes can individually move (they are on a plate inside the cowl), and an extra set of 'sonar' eyes is also included, as well as the tool to change/move the eyes. As it happened before with Hot Toys Batman figures, the figure is an articulated body covered by a quite thick rubber suit, which completely hinders articulations. You can bend the arms and legs a little, but when you do, the suit bunches up and it does not look great. Leaving that figure in any other position than the infamous "Museum pose" will not look great and probably damage the suit after some time... Yay... Unfortunately, the peg hole under the head arrived broken on mine, so I cannot change the eyes. I am currently waiting for a replacement part. As gorgeous as it looks, this figure has been a bit of a let down. Robin also looks great, but is unfortunately not better. The suit is the same way as the Batman figure, thick rubber, so he can't move much. Those are more like statues with a little bit of articulation, basically. Robin also comes with only 4 extra hands and no other accessories. No PERS (moving eyes) feature. To add insult to injury, he costs the same as the Batman figure. I also believe that the red is the wrong shade of red. It seemed a lot darker in the movie... And what's up with that bulge?! Once again, they look beautiful, and I'll admit that I've been catching myself staring at them in the Detolf, and thinking 'Man, those look awesome', but you can't really pose them or do anything with them. Those are expensive figures that only a completist who has all the other Hot Toys Batman figures would get... so I did. More news at 11:00... Babyyyy! I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey...
  3. Warner Bros. Games and DC premiered an all-new trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal. The video features new gameplay and custom cutscenes of Robin, also known as Tim Drake, the youngest of the four knights and the third protégé of Batman to take on the Robin alias. Robin is a force to be reckoned with as an expert with his collapsible quarterstaff and a specialist in stealth techniques, psychological warfare, and deductive reasoning. Using teleportation technology from the Justice League satellite, Robin can zap himself across the battlefield, utilizing speed and surprise to his advantage in a fight. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in natural intelligence, with detective skills that are on par with, if not even better than, Batman himself. Robin deeply believes that Gotham City needs a Batman and aspires to one day take up the mantle himself. And when the time comes, he will be ready. Gotham Knights is scheduled to release worldwide on Oct. 25, 2022, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders will receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle Skin at launch, based on the vehicle’s first appearance in DC’s Detective Comics #233. Gotham Knights features the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, players will confront an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight.
  4. Jay Lycurgo is set to recur during Season 3 of the live-action superhero team-up series Titans as Tim Drake. The character of Drake is described as a streetwise kid who’s managed to grow up on the toughest streets without losing his indelible belief in heroism. Tim's easy-going demeanor is backed up by a near-genius mind — a natural detective with a perception of detail far beyond his years. Tim Drake's role in DC comics is to become the third Robin, after Jason Todd and Dick Grayson. For the Titans series, Dick (played by Brenton Thwaites), has transitioned to the Nightwing persona, while Jason Todd (Curran Walters) is due to become Red Hood in Season 3. Lycurgo is credited with guest starring on HBO’s I May Destroy You and has a role in the upcoming DC film The Batman. Source: TVLine

The sculpting of Damian’s slim yet slightly toned form gives you a glimpse his duality as both a young man and a hero, making this IKEMEN a must for all Damian fans! The figure stands 4.92 (12.50cm). 13. DC Collectibles has launched a new diorama statue line for fans of the classic Marv Wolfman and George Perez run of All-New Teen Titans comics which started in 1982. The entire team of Starfire, Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Raven will be featured in the series, and things kick off with Robin and Starfire who are starting to hit comic and specialty shops now. The statues come with detachable bases and Robin who is sculpted in a running like pose stands around 7.37" tall while Starfire who is sculpted in a blast-off like pose is 10" high. Both statues were sculpted by Joe Menna who has done a fantastic job capturing the look of the characters from Prez' artwork. These really do look like they were taken straight off the cover of All-New Teen Titans #1. Starfire's hair blast incorporates translucent plastic towards the bottom at the base which in the like looks like actual fire. The statues can be displayed as individual pieces which is nice for those not interested in completing the whole team, but if you get all 7 statues in the series then the bases are shaped so you can place them together re-creating the Preze cover of All-New Teen Titans #1. Thanks to the folks at DC Collectibles for providing us these two statues so we could take a look. These will be available at comic and specialty shops as well as online at places like BigBadToyStore.com. Check out below our detailed in-hand IMAGE GALLERY for Robin and Starfire which are hitting shelves now.
