  1. Looks like Playmates Toys is throwing it's hat back into the collector area for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with these new Elite Series 6" figures. The figures are based on their original Mirage looks and are said to have 34 Points of articulation. These are being offered through Diamond Distributor which means they will be available at most major comic and specialty shops. This isn't the first time Playmates has made collector oriented TMNT Turtle figures, and while they might not be praised as much as the NECA stuff, they will likely be much easier to get. The real question in my mind is whether or not Playmates will do more than just the turtles with these. Time will tell I guess. These figures are available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Am I the only one who see the irony of the "Collector Specific" company doing figures for the big box retailers like Walmart and Target while the company known for making their products for kids is releasing their figures through the collector and specially market retailers? Shouldn't it really be the other way around???
  2. Via Walmart we have a look at the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong 6" Basic Kong with Battle-Axe figure from Playmates Toys. It comes with a "battle damage" feature. Remove to reveal the powerful impact of monster battles!
  3. These terrific TMNT figures of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Master Splinter and Shredder come with the original bodies & authentic decoration from the ‘80s action figures with oversized roto heads, individual Turtle Bandana colors and letters on their belts. The set includes a weapons rack and packaging based on the original ‘80s package design with original brick work and the original Turtles logo. This decorated soft bundle 6-pack ships in 4-color inner with protective sleeve. Limited to 5,000 pieces. Retail price $89.99. These are being offered through Diamond's Previews Magazine will be available for pre-order at online etailers later today. UPDATE: Now available for order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com
  4. One of the things Hasbro talked about during the Power Rangers portion of their 2020 New York Toy Fair presentation, was the TMNT and Power Rangers crossover comic book series being done between Boom Studio and IDW. During the panel they showed images of what the four Turtles along with April will look like when they get their hands on a Morpher. They also showed the Rangers themselves and what they would look like without a Morpher. While there was no mention of toys based on this series to follow, we could see it maybe happening. While Playmates Toys remains the master toy license holder for TMNT, we have seen Nickelodeon allow other companies do TMNT figures in recent years. NECA has been doing a wide range of Turtle figures base on the old movies, video game and the original animated series. Then there were the recent Batman vs TMNT figures DC Collectibles did. Hasbro is likely considered a more direct competitor to Playmates Toys than those other smaller companies, so negotiating a deal to do a Power Rangers/TMNT crossover line might be a little more tricky to negotiate between all parties concerned, but you never know. Would you like to see someone release TMNT and Power Rangers mash-up figures? Let us know below in the COMMENTS SECTION below.
  5. Just posted are the Playmates Toys Showroom Images From Toy Fair 2020. There are no new TMNT figures shown. Nickelodeon expected to announce the next incarnation of TMMT this spring and Playmates will be doing toys for it. No pics of Godzilla Vs Kong aloud either.
