  7. The LEGO Group and Nintendo today revealed four new LEGO Super Mario Power-Up Packs that unlock entirely new ways fans can play and customize their levels! His wardrobe now contains the Fire Mario suit, the Propeller Mario suit, the Cat Mario suit and the Builder Mario suit. Fire Mario Power-Up Pack (71370) When LEGO Mario is powered up with this suit, he can gain Fire Attack power - a new way to attack enemies and collect extra coins. Propeller Mario Power-Up Pack (71371) Propeller sounds are triggered when players dress LEGO Mario in this suit and make him ‘fly’ to try and win coins. The propeller suit allows LEGO Mario to take to the skies, making new sounds as he soars through the air and collects coins. Take LEGO Mario on an action-packed flight and turn your living room into a giant LEGO Super Mario level! Cat Mario Power-Up Pack (71372) This suit gives LEGO Mario cat-like skills. Dress him in the special pants and cap and he’ll start to meow and purr. Wearing this suit gives Cat Mario the special power to walk up vertical obstacles and collect coins. It’s the purr-fect way to have even more fun with the LEGO Super Mario levels. Builder Mario Power-Up Pack (71373) When LEGO Mario is wearing this suit, players can earn digital coins by making him stomp hard on LEGO bricks in the course they have created. The more he stomps, the more coins you win! It’s a brick- bashingly brilliant way to have even more fun with the LEGO Super Mario levels. To play with the suits, fans will need the LEGO Mario figure included in the Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360). No batteries needed for the Power-Up Packs, just dress LEGO Mario in the suits to power up. All Power-Up Packs are available from 1st August 2020, and the recommended retail price is 9,99 USD/EUR.
  8. The LEGO Group today announced a LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Building Kit for adults, letting grown-up fans create their own NES console with LEGO bricks. The new kit, the latest product of the LEGO Group and Nintendo partnership, offers a brick-built NES model packed with realistic details, including the accompanying 1980’s style LEGO television set, so nostalgic gamers and LEGO fans can recreate their favorite Super Mario Bros. childhood experiences. Today’s announcement will let adult fans take a trip down memory-lane by building a mechanically functional version of an all-time favourite console with LEGO bricks. The new NES Building Kit will include a controller with a connecting cable and plug and even an opening slot for the Game Pak with a locking feature. The console also comes with a buildable retro TV, featuring a flat 8-bit Mario figure on the scrolling screen. Fans can scan an included action brick with LEGO® Mario from the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course, so he reacts to on-screen enemies, obstacles and power-ups just as he would have in the iconic Super Mario Bros. game. “Super Mario has been a cherished figure in the gaming world for over thirty years now,” said Maarten Simons, Creative Lead on LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System, the LEGO Group. “Many adults still fondly remember that first time they saw Mario leap across the small screen, even if the graphics were a lot simpler than they are today. With the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System, we’re letting them truly indulge in that nostalgia, recreating one of the most-loved consoles of all time so they can see the Super Mario from their childhoods once again – and even to share the experience of gaming in the 1980s with their own children.” The LEGO Group and Nintendo announced their partnership earlier this year, bringing a fun-packed LEGO Super Mario universe to life through a Super Mario Starter Course set that exclusively features a LEGO Mario figure who displays a wide variety of instant reactions to movement, color and various action bricks. This entry point set was followed up on in May with a series of Power-Up Packs and in June with the announcement of a range of Expansion Sets and collectible Character Packs. All have been designed to build out the world of LEGO Super Mario, letting players unleash their creativity by building exactly the levels and challenges they want to see LEGO Mario and friends compete in. The LEGO Group today revealed the full product portfolio for its LEGO Super Mario experience. Fans can expand on the LEGO Super Mario range announced in April with a whole new range of Expansion Sets, collectible Character Packs and Power-Up Packs. The result of a unique partnership with Nintendo, LEGO Super Mario will reinvent the way people interact with Super Mario in the physical world. The products announced today give fans the chance to build Mario’s house, search for treasure hidden by Toad, and defeat a Koopa Troopa in the Guarded Fortress. And of course that’s not all! The partnership was announced earlier this year, and in April the fun-packed Adventures with Mario Starter Course was revealed alongside two Expansion Sets. The Starter Course is key to unlocking the entire play, being the only set to feature the interactive LEGO® Mario figure that collects coins in game levels created with LEGO bricks. LEGO Super Mario brings new interactivity and gameplay to the traditional LEGO brick experience. All sets come with their own series of unique challenges and characters for fans to play with, or to play against friends. Also announced today are ten collectible enemy characters that are available in blind bag Character Packs, adding that extra level of excitement. Each pack will contain a buildable character and action tag to play with – it could be a Paragoomba, Fuzzy, Spiny, Buzzy Beetle, Bullet Bill, Bob-omb, Eep Cheep, Blooper, Urchin or Peepa! Every Expansion Set and collectible Character is made to be used with the Adventures with Mario Starter Course, for an enhanced play experience. The entry point set features seven action bricks for different interactions with the LEGO Mario figure, which has LCD screens in its eyes, mouth and belly to display instant reactions to movement, color and action bricks. In May, the LEGO Group and Nintendo also announced a series of Power-Up Packs – including Cat Mario and Builder Mario – to help boost gameplay with a variety of suits for LEGO Mario that each reveal new features and powers. "With today’s announcement, 16 LEGO Super Mario sets have been introduced and I am really looking forward to seeing how people’s play expands with these and the unique Power-Up Packs,” said Takashi Tezuka, Executive Officer and Game Producer of Nintendo Co., Ltd. “Each player’s preferences and imagination are different. By adding already owned LEGO bricks onto the Starter Course, and different LEGO Super Mario expansion sets, we hope that people can create various different Mario worlds and continue enjoying them indefinitely.” “The reaction to LEGO Super Mario has been incredible,” said Jonathan Bennink, Digital Design Lead on LEGO Super Mario, the LEGO Group. “Super Mario is such an icon – and fans have been highly anticipating the release of the full details of the product line. Also included is a speaker that plays iconic sounds and music from the video game series. “Super Mario has continued to appear, always in a form adapted to the current hardware of the time.” said Takashi Tezuka, Executive Officer and Game Producer of Nintendo Co., Ltd. “I am thankful that in this project with the LEGO Group, Mario is jumping out of the digital world of game consoles and smart devices, and we are able to bring him into the world with a new, physical type of Mario play. It's very exciting to think of LEGO Mario becoming a real friend to children and to picture them playing in their very own Mario world that they imagined themselves.” Kids aged 6+ can build levels and play their own way, with action-packed challenges having lots of creative fun in a highly interactive experience. LEGO Mario is used to collect virtual coins as he runs and jumps from the Start Pipe to the Goal Pole via LEGO bricks, cloud platform, and clashes with the Goomba figure and Bowser Jr. figure. 12. Captain N The Game Master was a great cartoon in the 90's with awesome characters. MonsterMash Custom Action Figures created the team in the 3.75" scale. Captain N, Kevin Keene, was made from various Marvel Universe and GI joe parts as well as new sculpting and hand painting. Simon Belmont has a hand sculpted head, Wrecker torso with sculpted added parts, partially sculpted areas of Star Lord legs. Kid Icarus base body was from an Emperor Palpatine body, Anakin head, wings from a Kubrick Angel, and a added sculpted boots and tunic. Samus was from an Iron Man figure, Jaina Solo head (cast), Stormtrooper sculpted helmet, and cannon from another random Metroid figure. Princess Lana was from a MU Alpha Flight figure. I sculpted parts of the hair, crown, skirt, boots, wrist bands and scepter. Duke the dog was a random figurine I found at a hobby shop repainted and scarf sculpted. MonsterMash Custom Action Figures is grateful to take your ideas such as this one and turn them into never before made action figures. Please follow us on FaceBook, Twiiter, Instagram and TNI. Thank you for looking. MonsterMash
