You know, since i saw a certain topic or forum about someone explaining how they got into figure/toy collecting i sorta wanted to tell how i got into it too, i even tried to find which was the topic that showed such topic to talk about so i had to make this one, welp, here goes something and boy is it gonna be a long ride: Like many childhoods of course it had to start there, i was introduced to some random toys that I'm not sure if it was my dad or my mom who would show us these toys, i was intrigued for them and the funny thing was that i didn't know who they were at that time, i had a knight with a flail, a mr freeze from that weird Batman and Robin movie, a "cute chibi like" robot from Cubex, Imperialdramon and Goldar from power rangers; these guys were pretty much my gang as i would probably call them, i had no idea who they were before but i often spent time playing with them and all. Of course i was interested for other lines like Bionicle which i only had 2 figures and i admit i wanted to get the first six Toa they announced back then but my parents obviously couldn't afford more money for that, then there was a time i truly was into dinosaur toys and i had a big collection, i loved them so much, i couldn't tell which ones where fron this company here and there but i had a couple of them which from Jurassic park 3 and my biggest faves where a Tyrannosaurus and a velociraptor toy from that line. Admittedly even as a kid i did dumb bad stuff to get some of them, like i often took at least a Pternadon from another kid if memory serves and boy let's say i wasn't gonna go without an irony there. There was a time we were at the flea market, i was told to put my dinosaur toys on a display which i didn't know by that time they were actually selling them, normally that would had been my saddest moment by that time but as i said, irony came as i often played with my velociraptor and two girls stoled it from me, like i legit was crying and felt heartbroken i truly wanted to get that toy back and i couldn't, on my present view the velociraptor wasn't exactly the best the more i looked into the toy's review. Now around 2004 and 2007 were a time when i started getting into three lines that i both feel happy and slightly regretted but not much. During 2004 there was these small dragons by Megabloks now known as Megabrands that came from eggs and had a plasma thing for a gimmick, these were plasma dragons and they were one of the best things i collected that even my mom got me one and even my aunt got me the rarest i couldn't find elsewhere by that time. Then i was into it's Pyrates line which was amazing because they were like lego stuff except more detailed most of them were ugly guys but i loved the skeleton characters there was that even i still own the two ship sets there was. Now none of these two were the biggest contender like Transformers was, this was the line that truly got me into collecting alot and i was truly passionate about these guys, mostly the 2007 movie toyline i almost wanted to get them all which i only had around 12 or such? At the same time this was something i wasn't much careful about admittedly and the worst part i was 14 when this was happening but my parents were starting to get annoyed on buying me toys and i was unaware of he money problems there was going there hopefully that's no longer the case since now i would get the figures on my own in the present day, yet there was gonna be worst complications which I'll get into that later. In the meantime that was happening there were some Transformer toys i liked, some are still good for me even til this day and some others they werent, sadly some were good but sadly broked miserably or lost their paint job really horribly, since then i was told by my parents that they'll no longer buy me toys here and there, which it had some hiccups here and there but until 2014 or 2015 that totally stopped for good. However even when it stopped and i was saving money to get my own figures and such, let's say this really was getting into the nerves of my mom, she was saying things like it was too much, that i wasn't a kid anymore that i should grow up and forget about these things, heck I'm not sure if this was the case too but i think she even mentioned it was a satanic act; truth to be told while i know my toy collecting history had it's questionable acts and wrong turns it still heartbroke me badly because i really was into figures and toys because it was my passion, my hobby, my way to be away from the stress of multitudes of boring people i didn't want to bear being with. However i was backed up by my siblings who knew i loved this hobby so much and they knew that even i began to mature in terms of knowing what to buy by reviews, to cherry pick the ones i wanted to get and even saving money for which ones i wanted to get, afterwards my mom began respecting that, admittedly sometimes i feel that she's saying she's convinced but it doesn't feel that way, i know she is worried about my actions but i truly no longer buy absolutely every figure on the lines I'm going for, heck I'm not even a compulsive buyer for that matter. I can't say that my story is that interesting as it had some actions which i regret and others yet most of the time i truly do enjoy collecting cause it makes me happy, as long as i cherry pick with caution and reason I'm fine the way i am, because figure collecting is truly my joy of life and i am sorry but not sorry to those who think that toy collecting shouldn't be my thing, I'll always adore toy collecting it's truly the passion that feeds my heart for the most time. Side notes: i wouldn't say these facts are important to know but it's admittedly something i often like to do at times, for one i always try to go for a good checklist of the figures and toys i wish i could get whether it's by video review playlist, an image gallery or by making a text note list. Speaking of text note lists, i sometimes have a habit of making a list that says which characters should have a figure being made for them and which ones have bad ones and should be redone within time haha. Last note, while it's true that toy collecting is my hobby, drawing stuff is too, as a matter a fact as i mentioned my other two facts i end up making fan art drawings based on characters i like and such, lol i know it's not figure or toy related at all, but it's kinda fun to do so nevertheless, even it sometimes reflects the idea of which characters I'd either love to see them get a figure or do have existing figures but are rare nowadays. So that's pretty much all i wanted to do tell, my origins on how i started collecting figures after all.

Hello, I'm new here. I started customizing again, this is my latest custom. I really love Mega Construx figures and Predator, so I combined the two. I used the body of a Mega Contrux/Bloks Call of Duty soldier, cut a little bit here and there and added the extra's with miliput. I hope the pictures speak for themself, thanks for looking.
