  7. Spinmaster last week released a press release stating that they have entered into a 3 year agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) which includes allowing them to make DC Comic based things like remote control and robotic vehicles, water toys and games and puzzles type products. While not 100% clear, this doesn't seem like something that will effect the production of action figures from Mattel who had been the master toy license holder for DC for many years now. We've reached out to Mattel to see if we can get any clarification from them and will update you if we hear anything back. See the press release below from Spinmaster: Press Release: Spin Master Corp. (TSX:TOY; www.spinmaster.com), a leading global children's entertainment company, announced today that it has entered into a three-year global licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP). Beginning Spring 2020, Spin Master will be a new toy licensee for DC in the boy's action category, remote control and robotic vehicles, water toys and games and puzzles. "Partnering with an iconic brand like DC is a major milestone for Spin Master and is part of our strategy to invest in successful licenses to further grow and diversify our business," said Ben Gadbois, Spin Master's Global President and COO. "Children everywhere have been entertained and inspired by DC Super Heroes™ and Super-Villains™ for more than 80 years and we're honoured to be a part of that storytelling and imagined play. We are looking forward to bringing Spin Master's renowned innovation to the toy line and to sharing more details about this exciting partnership in the new year." Spin Master continues to build a strong portfolio of licensed products, including its 10-year licensing partnership with FELD Entertainment as the worldwide master toy partner and the soon to be launched line of Monster Jam® trucks. Spin Master was recently recognized for its leadership in licensing by Kidscreen, who named Spin Master #1 in Licensing on the 2018 Hot 50 Companies ranking.

Mattel WWE Elite 63: Shelton Benjamin

Mattel WWE Elite 63: Shelton Benjamin Before I post the review, I'd like to say that if you don't have the WWE network do yourself a favor and sign up for a free month and watch the Edge and Christian show. Today I'm going to review a former amateur wrestler, billed as the Gold standard, one half of "The World's Greatest Tag Team" and a staple of the ruthless aggression era Shelton Benjamin. We want to extend our thanks to Mattel for the review sample. Mattel has graced us with not just one but two Shelton Benjamin elite figures. Granted that one is just a repaint or as we collectors call it a " chase figure". The gold standard was a unique look for Shelton, a VERY unique and distinctive look. The packaging is the standard elite fair that we come to expect from Mattel, showing the figure within and an image of Shelton Benjamin in the upper right corner. Taking the figure out of the package, he comes packed with two extra hands and a large step ladder. The toy itself looks exactly like the gold standard. The figure retains all the points of articulation you have come to expect from the Elite collection. Head turns. Shoulders, elbow, and wrist all move freely and the inclusion of extra hands are a nice addition to the figure. There's ab crunch, waist turn, hip joints , double knee joints, boot cuts and ankle articulation as well. Overall, the figure has a wide range of movement. Which is to be expected for the relative high flyer His accessory for both the regular and chase versions is a ladder which is something he use to be known to use and even competed in a few classic ladder matches. It can fold and open like a regular ladder and is made well. If you are not a wrestling fan, I don't know how I can recommend this figure since Shelton Benjamin is a guy who has his place in years past and who is currently an active member of the roster, unfortunately he really hasn't done much to garner attention, but if you are a Wrestling fan this figure works with other figures in your 6 inch collection. Overall, he is a 3 out of 5 Thank you again to Mattel for the sample. Don't forget to leave us a comment and tell us what you think? Follow Rob on Instagram @alternativemindz and on Twitter @altmindz

    WWE elite Pete Dunne

WWE Elite Pete Dunne Before I post the review, I'd like to take a moment and pay our respect to one of the greatest wrestling interviewers, "Mean" Gene Okerland, who passed away this past week. Pound for pound one of the best British wrestlers in recent history is now officially immortalized in plastic. We want to extend our thanks to Mattel for the review sample. With his smaller size, distinctive look, and a wrestling style that makes people pay attention to him, Pete Dunne joins the ranks of other modern wrestlers with his Elite figure. The packaging is more than your standard fair, showing the figure within and an image of Pete Dunne in the upper right corner. Taking the figure out of the package, he comes packed with two extra hands. I would be hard pressed not to mention the lack of UK title, which should have been included with this figure. The toy itself looks so much like Dunne that it's almost unnerving. The upper lip curl is cool and all, but I would have preferred his standard scowl look. The figure retains all the points of articulation you have come to expect from the Elite collection. Head turns well even with the hair going past his neck on the one side. Shoulders, elbow, and wrist all move freely and the inclusion of extra hands adds to the figure. There's ab crunch, waist turn, hip joints , double knee joints, boot cuts and ankle articulation as well. Overall, the figure has a wide range of movement. The jacket is removable and is made of a semi soft plastic. If you are not a wrestling fan, I still feel this figure works with any 6 inch collection. He would fit into any Mad Max type post apocalyptic storyline or even something like a villain for a superhero line. If you are a fan of wrestling, then you know how amazing Pete Dunne is as a wrestler. So adding him to your existing collection is a no brainer. My true gripe was the lack of a title belt and possibly a second more standard head. Overall, he is a 4 out of 5 and a must own. Thank you again to Mattel for the sample. WWE Mattel Elite 63 Dusty Rhodes

The American Dream is here with Mattel's WWE Elite series 63 Dusty Rhodes. 2018 was the year of Mattel, and 2019 is going strong with a revamp of the elite line. We get tons of extras with this regular elite line release. The body mold is the same that was used on the original Legends series Dusty Rhodes with polka dots. This has his classic old school blank trunks NWA attire. The body mold used here is ideal for Dusty Rhodes. He was known as the son of the plumber so he definitely had the common folk body. Mattel really chose this body mold accurately for him. This figure comes with a soft goods, black fabric t-shirt thats fully removable. It features his classic logo on the chest of the shirt. Also included are 2 pairs of hands. One set are closed fists, and the other are open hands. A removable hat. As if that wasn't enough, Mattel also included the big gold championship belt as well. This also comes with a pair of aviator style sunglasses, although im having a difficult time having the glasses stay on his head. A couple extra additional details are the green elbow pad which is a nice touch. And something that might get overlooked by some is Dusty's large birthmark on his belly region. For someone as iconic as Dusty Rhodes, this is a must have for any collection. A small nitpick would be if Mattel had used a new head scan rather than reuse the one used many years ago from the Legends release. Mattel has shown that they are listening to its consumers and have continued to step up their game. I would rate this a 9.5/10
