Several sources have informed Deadline that Jada Pinkett Smith and Jessica Henwick are in negotiations for Warner Bros./Village Roadshow’s The Matrix 4. Jada Pinkett Smith would return to reprise her role of hovercraft pilot-rebel-martial arts specialist Niobe. She played the role in the Matrix 2 and 3, The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. Sources from within have informed Variety that Director Lana Wachowski met with various actors over the last week and has chosen 'Aquaman' star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as one of the lead roles in the latest installment in the 'Matrix' franchise.
