  1. Mattel has released preview images for it's highly popular Walmart Exclusive WWE Superstars Line. The lineup features WWE Stars re-imagined on Masters of the Universe Origins and Masters of the WWE Universe bodies! Series 2 will feature the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels, nWo Kevin Nash and nWo Scott Hall! Check back for more information and updates when available.
  2. "New recipe! Now with 25% more air!". This is what seems to be the trend the toy brands have adopted recently. We cannot pinpoint exactly when it started, since there are always been large boxes full of air, but the Black Series Return of the Jedi Deluxe Boba Fett figure seems to be the one a lot of collectors remember... Toy companies are now using what we'll call the "bag of chips approach": A packaging in which there's a lot more air, and a lot less chips (or action figure, in that case). Figures that would fit in a normal sized packaging are now sold at a premium in a bigger box, with the accessories more spread, with a 'deluxe' sticker slapped on them. Do you get more action figure? Not really... Here is a recent example: See how those 2 Boba Fett figures have the exact same accessories? One fits in a normal Star Wars: The Black Series box, the other one is Deluxe. With the cape folded in the box, King Grayskull would have perfectly fit in a normal box, too. You'd think that, at least, the MOC/MIB collectors would be happy about getting more packaging, right? Well... think again! The MOCC (Mint On Card Confederation) sent a statement to ToyFarce mentioning that bigger boxes means less space on the shelves for display, so no, they are not happy about the change (even if it does give them more box to cherish). "If the companies continue to make the packaging of our toys bigger, we will run out of space faster and won't be able to buy more!" Here's what the future might hold for us, by @chaztheguru We will keep you inform as the boxes keep getting larger! After an excellent idea sent by @darkfigtory on instagram. Give him a follow! More news at 11:00... but BIGGER! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. The Masterverse figs have some really excellent sculpt work, but the glossy finish and lack of paint suppresses them. This is just a repainting of some parts completely (face, staff, some of the leathers), picking out some details and pin washes for rivets and musculature etc.
  4. My homage to some of the greatest box art of all time. I never had any of the MOTU stuff growing up, but I would pour over the box art in the toy aisles.
  5. Good Smile Company's Facebook Page has provided us with a look the most powerful nendoroids in the universe! Relive the legendary battles of Castle Grayskull in Nendoroid form! Nendoroid He-Man and Nendoroid Skeletor from Masters of the Universe: Revelation are currently in the works! Keep an eye on the Good Smile Company official site for more info coming soon!
  6. Our Sponsor BigBadToyStore has some of the recent Walmart Exclusive Masters of the WWE Universe figures for Pre-order on there page! They appear to have Stone Cold Steve Austin, Wave 7 and Wave 8!
  7. "By the power of.........Ohio!" Power-Con announced today that they're taking the con on the road to Columbus Ohio on August 5-7th 2022. Stay tuned here for more information as it follows!
  8. The Hollywood Reporter conducted a "deep-dive career-retrospective" interview with The Dark Night and Man of Steel writer David S. Goyer about a script that he penned for Sony Pictures and Mattel Films for a Masters of the Universe project. Unfortunately, the project was declined by the studio but during the interview, Goyer gave THR some interesting details about the script.
  9. With all the DC Superheroes I've been making lately, I neglected to make villains for them to punch. So what better one to start with than constant foil to the Man of Steel, Lex Luthor! Lex was made using a WWE MOTU Roman Reigns torso with Kane arms and legs. The gauntlets are from a Toy Biz AOA Apocalypse figure and the boots ( which were a pain in the @$$ to make) were cut from a 3.75" Iron Monger figure with shin guards placed on the Kane boots. Lastly the head, upper armor, and waist sash were taken from a DC Universe Orange Lantern Lex Luthor. Hope you enjoy this and as always please leave feedback. Your comments motivate me to crank out more customs.
  10. Next up for my Masters of the Universe-Origins line of Superheroes, is the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash! I made this using a He-Man origins head and torso, WWE MOTU Roddy Piper arms, WWE MOTU Ricky Steamboat waist and legs, and WWE MOTU Randy Savage boots. The lightning effect was made from a pattern found on a Google search and then cut with my beautiful daughter's assist using her Cricket. The logo was also found on a Google search, I then cut it with an e xacto knife and applied. Finally the ear wings were taken from an old Flash figure, that I had in my parts bin. I hope you enjoy this and leave feedback. More League members are on the way.
  11. So, after I found a vintage Webstor for a decent price at a Toy Show yesterday, I got to work on an Origins custom that I've been wanting to make for a long time. (Just needed the vintage gear) Yes, I know the figure will be released in a few months, but I wanted mine to be a darker color scheme (He is supposed to be a stealth character after all) instead of the brighter colors used for the line. This figure is a repainted Origins Skeletor with a resin head cast of the 4 Horsemen Classics sculpt sold at Plastic Curves MOTU store. I hope you enjoy this, and my other Origins customs to come.
  12. Here's my custom MOTU Origins Lord Gr'asp. I made this with a resin cast of the MOTU Classics head, that I bought at Plastic Curves MOTU, hand is from the vintage Clawful, MOTU Origins Prince Adam body, with a Ricky Steamboat left arm, and finally the fabric cape was bought from the Capemaster Michael Marquez. Hope you enjoy this and leave feedback, if you do. More MOTU Origins customs to come.
  13. I used a select Beast for the base and the origins for the head
  14. After making my Dollar Tree Micro Faker, I wanted to make Skeletor's #1 henchmen, Beastman. The Mega Contrux figures are the same scale, and I discovered that the head and armor would fit perfectly on the micro He-Man body. Just had to dremel the arm armor and add some hair with some apoxie sculpt to the legs. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it.
