Connect Point Dread to the Mega Construx Castle Grayskull, sold separately, to battle for all of Eternia! Masters of the Universe Mega Construx Probuilder Battle Cat Vs. Roton Playset Chew up anything that gets in your way in the buildable Masters of the Universe Roton, that is, until you face-off against the mighty Battle Cat. This collectible construction set also includes two micro action figures, Battle Armor He-Man and Mer-Man, faithfully designed, each with 12 points of articulation to create a heroic display. 3. The official website for the official Masters of the Universe Power-Con convention, today released some teaser images for upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins figures. These will be offered as exclusives during the convention later this year. From the first image we see a teaser of a MOTU Origins 5-Pack which will cost attendee's $200. It looks like it will include figures of He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Mer-Man and perhaps Beast-Man. The first one in the second row we aren't entirely sure about. The second image is for an exclusive of one single MOTU Origns figure which looks to be She-Ra. This one is listed with a price of $40 for con attendees There will also be a third Hot Wheels based exclusive. No image or any other details were provided for that one at this time. We assume the Origins exclusives for the 5-pack will use the same bodies as the regular released versions and likely feature things like different paint decos, head sculpts and/or accessories. For instance, the one we think is Beast Man looks to have a different harness piece on from the regular released version we have seen. The things sticking up on the shoulders are likely bones as seen on some versions of the character. For the She-Ra, at this time there has been no announcement of a regular release version, but I would be very surprised if they didn't end up doing one sooner or later. Earlier in the week we showed you a rumored list of Origins products that supposedly leaked out from the German Toy Fair. In that list they had a Skeletor/Keldor 2-pack listed as a convention exclusive. While that entire list has by any means been confirmed, it should be noted that the con exclusive mentioned there was likely referring to this year's San Diego Comic Con exclusive, not these Power-Con ones. Power-Con will take place in Anaheim, CA on August 8-9. Tickets are on sale now.

  21. According to Discussing Film, The 'Masters of the Universe' film that Sony was developing is now being developed and distributed by Netflix with a late 2021/early 2022 release. Last October, The Hollywood Reporter stated that Sony was looking to release the film on Netflix due to the risk of the high-budget film being far too costly for the studio to release theatrically. Sources say that the production budget for ‘Masters of the Universe’ is currently aimed to be around $130M, It's currently unknown what involvement Sony has with this project but we should know in the coming months whether Sony has officially backed out of the project or still involved. Mattel Films will be working alongside David Goyer’s Phantom Four Films as two of the production companies behind the film. Goyer wrote the first draft of the screenplay for Sony and was in talks to direct the film, but dropped out and became an executive producer on the project. Goyer will produce the film alongside Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Julie Pistor, DeVon Franklin and Kevin Turen. The Nee Brothers are still attached to write and direct the film with Noah Centineo in the lead role for the film.

  23. Sony Pictures has March 2021 marked on the calendar for their 'Masters of the Universe' film release and the studio might just have the release set for Netflix instead of theaters. Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman is looking at the option of getting risk-free cash for the pricey project by making it for Netflix instead. The studio is just in talks as of now, but such a deal would make Sony the next studio after Paramount to start making movies belonging exclusively or almost exclusively to the streamer. Since Sony has been developing 'Masters of the Universe' since 2007, perhaps making it that much less appealing to sell given that the studio finally has a version that it wants to make. Sony would base the sale on Netflix having the She-Ra and The Princesses of Power series and the upcoming Kevin Smith He-Man anime series. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
