Tyler Hoechlin has released a new image of himself as Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, with the Fortress of Solitude as a backdrop. Both will be appearing in this year's three-night, "Elseworlds" crossover event, which will air Sunday, December 9th through Tuesday, December 11th, comprised of the ninth episodes of The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl. Additional guest-stars include Ruby Rose as Batwoman/Kate Kane, Jeremy Davies as Arkham Asylum doc John Deegan), LaMonica Garrett as Mar Novu aka The Monitor and Cassandra Jean Amell as Mr. Freeze’s wife, Nora.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that guest-star Bob Frazer will play the character of Roger Hayden, better known as the supervillain Psycho-Pirate during the “Elseworlds” crossovers. Psycho-Pirate will appear in the Arrow and Supergirl installments of the crossover as an inmate at Arkham Asylum, which just happens to be where Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), the Flash (Grant Gustin), and Supergirl (Mellisa Benoist) will cross paths with Jeremy Davies’ Dr. John Deegan. Psycho-Pirate is a character who wears a gold Medusa Mask to give him the power to manipulate people’s emotions. The three-night event will include debuts from other DC Comics characters including Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), Nora Fries (Cassandra Jean Amell), and LaMonica Garrett as The Monitor. Tyler Hoechlin will also reprise the role of Superman, and John Wesley Shipp, the Flash of the ’90s, will also appear as a speedster. “Elseworlds” begins Sunday, Dec. 9, with The Flash at 8 p.m.; continues Monday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. with Arrow; and concludes the following night at 8 p.m. with Supergirl.
The CW network has announced that Grimm's Elizabeth Tulloch has been cast as Lois Lane for this season’s much anticipated Arrowverse crossover which kicks off on December 9th. Back in August, we reported that during the CW's three-night Arrowverse crossover event, we'll see the return of Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and bringing with him is the intrepid reporter Lois Lane.
During the three-night crossover event, we'll see the return of Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and bringing with him is the intrepid reporter Lois Lane. “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner said in a statement. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.” Casting for the role of Lois Lane hasn't been determined yet but most notable live-action portrayers have included Teri Hatcher, Erica Durance, and, of course, the late Margot Kidder.
