  7. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the new wave of Star Wars helmets from Lego, which includes The Mandalorian, Luke Skywalker's X-Wing pilot helmet and the Dark Trooper! I have really been enjoying that line of helmets from Lego. It's the perfect compromise between having a Lego set to build and having a nice bust to display. Some translate into Lego form better than others (looking at you, Iron man helmet...), but that wave is all killer, no filler! These are pretty fun builds which take about 2h to build, quick and easy. Each helmet has 4-5 bags of Lego pieces. First, everyone's favorite Mandalorian, with his beskar helmet. This was basically a slightly simple version of the Boba Fett one from the first wave, since the Boba Fett has the extra articulated antenna. This was the simplest one to build out of the 3. It has a few shiny pieces which makes it look great. Luke's X-Wing pilot helmet is my favorite of this wave, since I did not expect it. It was also a fun build, it has lots of details and it looks very good. The orange glasses are transparent, and there's even the chin strap and tiny microphone. A few stickers that were, as usual, not fun to apply (you only have one chance!), but most of the prints were already on the pieces. Definitely looks great on the shelf! The Dark Trooper is the only one of this wave that is an exclusive, only available at the Lego store/Lego's website. I was afraid it wouldn't look great, since, like the Tie Fighter pilot helmet, it's a lot of black Lego pieces, and might just look like a black Lego pieces blob. It turns out the Dark Trooper translates very well in Lego form! The red eyes and all the shapes and details look really nice on it. More news at 11:00... I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in Lego pieces.

  15. Hi All, I am trying to rally support on Lego Ideas of my Robotech/Mospeada project. I have created a LEGO version of the VR-052F Cyclone Ride Armor, from the Robotech/Mospeada 80's animated series. This set consists of an Cyclone (motorcycle) and Rider that can be displayed together in different poses from the anime. The Cyclone also transforms into armor that mounts onto the rider as a type of exo-suit that can also be posed along with its weapon accessories, just like in the show. The total number of parts in this build is 955 and I am also planning on building the rest of the Cyclones seen in the series. If you like this build and think it would make a great LEGO set, then please help in giving your support (which is totally free of any purchase or obligation). I am currently at 440 supporters and need 560 more to make the next milestone. I am hoping I can rally some support here Thank you for taking the time to view my build! If you would like to support, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/legovr52

LEGO bricks and Sesame Street shaped both my childhood and adult years, and the opportunity to work with the LEGO Ideas team to bring this quintessential New York street to life has been thrilling.” Federico Begher, VP of Global Marketing at The LEGO Group added: “We were instantly drawn to Ivan’s idea, as we had never created an official LEGO product with Sesame Street before. It was clear from the submission that Ivan is passionate about Sesame Street and he really brought it to life with the wide array of characters and bright, classic colours. For the first time in the history of LEGO Ideas, we also had the opportunity to create brand new minifigures for a set – bringing something new and exciting to our LEGO fans. Knowing the impact Sesame Street has had on the world for decades, sharing similar values with generations past and present, this felt like an exciting way to blend novelty with nostalgia, and pay homage to the truly iconic 123 Sesame Street through LEGO Ideas.” “Your imagination and creativity can take you places—and with the help of LEGO Ideas, it’s now transporting fans to Sesame Street where you’re never too old for a playdate,” said Gabriela Arenas, Sesame Workshop’s Vice President of Licensing, North America.
