DC Co-Chairman James Gunn will be directing his own script for Superman: Legacy. The project is part of the multi-platform connected DC universe – “Chapter One, Gods and Monsters." Gunn announced that a new Superman movie will be made when he took the job at DC and Henry Cavill won't be returning as the Man of Steel. The new Superman movie will be about the early days of Superman. Superman Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
