  1. Welcome to LEGO Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling! After finding his journal, Chaos Mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm recalls the mishaps and mayhem from 30 years ago about the island amusement park filled with prehistoric dinosaurs who escape and run amok... a story 65 million bricks in the making! From the comfort of his living room and after finding his personal journal, the ever-charming and now slightly older Chaos Mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm retells the tale of what happened that dreadful night at Jurassic Park. As only he can do, Dr. Malcolm finds a way to add his own unique humor and style to bring this harrowing story back to life. A theme park destination filled with living dinosaurs for families and kids to enjoy - what could possibly go wrong? Absolutely everything... just as he had predicted! LEGO Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling is a Peacock animated special running 22 minutes in total and will be streaming on October 10th, 2023.
  2. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the SDCC Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Steven Spielberg set from Mattel. Getting a Hammond Collection Steven Spielberg action figure was certainly not on my bingo card for 2023, but here we are, and I'm happy! The set has a really fun packaging, and is great for both fans of Jurassic Park, or cinema in general. The set comes in a very sober sleeve, all black with the Jurassic Park logo on the front, but it gets way better when you open it! There is another box inside, that looks like a cinema clapperboard, with the Jurassic Park info on one side, and the figure and dinosaur displayed on the other. The clapperboard actually works... Whoever designed this packaging deserves a raise! The SDCC Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Steven Spielberg set comes with a Hammond Collection scale figure of director Steven Spielberg, a director chair, a camera and a Dilophosaurus, complete with his animatronic stand. The Dilophosaurus is the same as the one that came out in 2022, and comes with 2 removable neck pieces (open frill and closed). You can recreate the shooting of the Dilophosaurus scene, if you have the Dennis Nedry figure and car! Fun fact: That is the scene that gave me nightmares when I saw Jurassic Park at the cinema when it came out, as a child. Yay! Steven Spielberg doesn't really need any introductions. Jaws, E.T., the Indiana Jones trilogy, Jurassic Park, the Schindler's List... Spielberg's body of work is legendary, and it's really fun to have a plastic representation on him on our shelves. The only nitpick being the scale, because it would have been really fun to have him standing next to the George Lucas Black Series stormtrooper. I had some fun with those pictures, adding the T-Rex from last year, which is easily one of my favorite toy from the last few years. More news at 11:00... aaaand Action!
  3. This year, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park, and Mattel has announced their new crowdfunding project: the Mattel Creations Jurassic World The Gates crowdfund! The first 4 unlocks have already been announced, as well as the Early-bird bonus, but ToyFarce dressed entirely in white in a tropical jungle, spared no expense and found out about the next unlocks for you! The Jurassic World The Gates (branding being the reason behind it not being called "the Jurassic Park The Gates", sadly. It might confuse tons of potential backers...) will have gigantic motorized entry gates (20" tall!), and the legendary Ford Explorer from the movie as the basic offering. The first 4 'unlocks' have already been revealed, being all from scenes that happen nowhere near the gates (or even near that movie, with the T-Rex from 'The Lost World'). The following 3 unlocks will now be revealed exclusively by ToyFarce: Unlock 5 - "Heavy, expensive" night vision goggles "Are they heavy? - Yeah. - Then, they're expensive. Put them back!". The iconic night vision googles found by Tim under his seat will be included under the seat of the Ford Explorer as well at 11,000 backers. They will be made of premium stainless-steel, making them heavy, thus expensive! Unlock 6 - "I won't tell anyone you threw up." "Tim! Are you ok? Are you ok? - I threw up." Who could forget that classic exchange between Dr. Alan Grant and Tim? At 12,000 backers, a Dr. Alan Grant figure and Tim's vomit will be included for the Ford Explorer! But hey, don't tell anyone that he threw up! You promised! Unlock 7 - "3D" additional part for the gates In 2013, Jurassic Park was re-released in 3D for the 20th anniversary of the movie, so that people could enjoy it in theaters again. The poster of the movie featured the gates, with a "3D" part added at the top. At 13,000 backers, you will be able to add the "3D" part to your gate as well! What other unlocks do you wish to see added to the Mattel Creations Jurassic World The Gates Crowdfund? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... At least, it's not paddock signs! Oh, wait... *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  4. Universal has released the official five-minute "prologue" teaser for "Jurassic World Dominion," where the footage is serving as a preamble to the upcoming sixth installment of the "Jurassic Park" film franchise. 13. As much as I spend my time online, keeping up with the latest reveals, leaks, and other news, there are still times when I walk into the store and still find a treasure that I had no idea existed. It’s amazing that, despite my constant browsing on forums and Facebook groups, I can still walk into a Target, a Walmart, or a GameStop and see something that has me say ‘WHAT?! THIS EXISTS?!’ Or even a simple ‘whoa that is way cooler than I had anticipated’. The latter happened to me much more recently. I am not a fan of transformers. Like at all. And my knowledge of the franchise is as surface level as it gets. But when I saw the Siege Optimus Prime earlier this year, I had to have it. I knew that the line was coming, but that was all I knew.! But then I saw it and I literally said ‘whoa this is way cooler than I had anticipated’. The former, where I found a figure or line I had no idea existed happened last spring/summer when I came upon the Jurassic World Legacy Collection at a Target. I knew there were figures from the new movie out, and Mattel had surprised me with how neat they were, but then I found Doctor Grant in the wild. It transported me back to my childhood and I bought up every figure in the line. Has anything like this happened to you? If so, which line or figure?

  15. When you’re choosing the ultimate pose for a definitive statue of Jurassic Park’s Dr. Ian Malcolm, there’s one iconic image of the film’s “rock star” that stands at the forefront. Of course, we’re talking about the shot where he’s lying down with his shirt unbuttoned while recovering from the T-Rex attack. Used in countless memes, this indelible image has been a fan favorite for years because it really captures the fun and sheer magnetism that actor Jeff Goldblum brings to this beloved character. Whether you’re a fan of Jurassic Park or just Jeff Goldblum, this statue makes for the perfect collectible to display in your home, office, or Jeff Goldblum shrine. Just imagine what your friends, family, and co-workers will say when they see this large and imposing statue of Dr. Malcolm. Made to exacting detail to include the specks of blood on his chest and hand, this amazing 1/4 scale Dr. Ian Malcolm statue also features a scene-specific circular base with a cutaway revealing dinosaur fossils buried underneath. This base makes it the perfect companion to the 1/4 scale Dr. Alan Grant statue. You can pre-order this statue now at BigBadToyStore.com.
  16. Jurassic Park’s security systems are down thanks to Nedry, dinosaurs roam loose across Isla Nublar and paleobotanist Ellie Sattler needs your help to survive. Hop into the Jurassic Park vehicle and help Ellie make her escape against all odds. Don’t let a hungry Tyrannosaurus rex or clever pair of Velociraptors stop this Ellie Pop! from making her escape. Look for it to be released in November.
  17. Shown below is a look at some of the Jurassic Park product Mattel had on hand at their showroom for the 2018 SDCC.
