The CW Network has renewed SUPERMAN & LOIS for the 2023-24 broadcast season, it was announced today by Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network. SUPERMAN & LOIS has been renewed for a 10-episode fourth season. The network also decided that it's one and done for Gotham Knights. In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin), and comic books' most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society. Based on the characters from DC Comics created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS season three is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Sarah Schechter, Brent Fletcher, and Geoff Johns. Despite the series being canceled, Gotham Knights was a respectable rating performer, but with the business model of the CW changing under its new ownership, only a handful of highly rated existing scripted series could make the cut. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, Gotham Knights was written by the Batwoman trio of Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams. It picked up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his rebellious adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forging an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies—Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara)—when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. Ethan Embry and Sunny Mabrey have signed on for recurring roles in Season 1 of The CW‘s upcoming series Gotham Knights. Mabrey will play the character, Crystal Brown. The character will appear in Episode 5 and is described as elegant and eye-catching, as the wife of a local celebrity, Crystal exudes a natural, camera-ready charisma. However, to those closest to her, Crystal runs warm as sunshine one minute, and brutally ice cold the next, because she’s battling a secret addiction that could ruin the lives of her entire family. Embry will play the character, Arthur Brown. The character will appear in Episode 6 and is described as a meticulous and eccentric host of a Jeopardy-like game show, Arthur is always the smartest person in the room — and he knows it. Warner Bros. Games and DC today revealed an all-new launch gameplay trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG releasing on Oct. 21, 2022. The latest trailer features gameplay footage and in-game cutscenes of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin in action as they face off against Gotham City’s surging criminal underworld, with a closer look at some of the infamous DC Super-Villains that players will encounter in Gotham Knights, including Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface and the mysterious Court of Owls. The video also shows off a variety of powerful enemy takedowns that players can perform while playing together with a friend in the game's online cooperative mode. Gotham Knights is scheduled to release worldwide on Oct. 21, 2022, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The video features new gameplay and custom cutscenes of Robin, also known as Tim Drake, the youngest of the four knights and the third protégé of Batman to take on the Robin alias. Robin is a force to be reckoned with as an expert with his collapsible quarterstaff and a specialist in stealth techniques, psychological warfare, and deductive reasoning. Using teleportation technology from the Justice League satellite, Robin can zap himself across the battlefield, utilizing speed and surprise to his advantage in a fight. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in natural intelligence, with detective skills that are on par with, if not even better than, Batman himself. Robin deeply believes that Gotham City needs a Batman and aspires to one day take up the mantle himself. And when the time comes, he will be ready. Gotham Knights features the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, players will confront an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight.

Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan, “De Son Vivant”) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan, “Days of Our Lives”), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe, “grown-ish”), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara, “The Virgin of Highland Park”), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins, “Supernatural”) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore, “All American”), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson, “Raven’s Home”). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS. From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM KNIGHTS are written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams. Amid The CW canceling three DC series; Naomi, Batwoman, and Legends Of Tomorrow. The network has picked up the DC Comics-based Gotham Knights. Gotham Knights is written by the Batwoman trio of Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger. It picks up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his rebellious adopted son forging an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. As the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights. Produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Fiveash and Stoteraux exec produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden. Abrams is also co-exec producer, while Danny Cannon will direct and exec produced the pilot.
