  1. "I think the Haslab P.K.E. meter will be the key to find the Plasma Series figures and bring them back!", said a Ghostbusters collector from Georgia. The Ghostbusters Plasma Series was (or is?) a line of 6" action figures from the Ghostbusters movies that collectors love, but that seem to be absent from the lineup of toys released to promote the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movie. Could they be stuck in a Containment Unit at Hasbro's HQ? ToyFarce investigated... "For the new movie, we have a line of 5" figures with ghosts, an Ecto-1, an interactive Slimer figure, a Proton Blaster and re-issues of the Kenner Real Ghostbusters Fright Features figures." said the Ghostbusters fan. "Sadly, no Plasma Series... There are also Funko Pops, and some mystery mini figures from Hasbro. Now, those last ones are interesting, because they come in small Containment Unit packaging. Could it be a hint from Hasbro that they have a Containment Unit themselves, where they keep the defunct lines of toys? We've seen lines come back in the past...Could it be that they were being held in a Hasbro Containment Unit?" "Now, thanks to Haslab, we have a Proton Pack, and we'll soon get a P.K.E. Meter and Ghost Trap (which are all also 'Plasma Series', the plot thickens!). I think we should use them to try and find the Hasbro Containment Unit where the 6" figure line is being held, so that we can release them!" Hasbro denied the existence of a Containment Unit in their basement, but warned that turning off those machines would be extremely hazardous. More news at 11:00... "I can't believe we had to become Walter Pecks to get the Plasma Series back..." *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. It's October 27th, and Hasbro will hold their Hasbro Pulse 1027 event for all Pulse members today. There has been a lot of teases about "something big" coming for the Ghostbusters line at the event, including a video teaser that has been dissected to death by fans on Youtube (Why are there so many jars of pink slime in their office?! SO MANY JARS!). There is a lot of speculation about a potential Ghostbusters themed Haslab, being either a Slime Blower or an updated Firehouse Headquarters playset, but ToyFarce got a special tip from an anonymous insider about what it may be... Who You Gonna Call? On the heels of a successful Marvel Legends Giant Man Haslab campaign, we might see another Haslab campaign announced today during the Hasbro Pulse 1027. The last Ghostbuster Haslab was for the lifesize Spengler's Proton Pack, and it was a huge success, so it would make sense for the next one to be another 'roleplay item', but we did see the Firehouse HQ playset a few times in that video teaser... The suspence is killing us (and we might come back as ghosts!) An anonymous source sent ToyFarce a tip about it, saying only 3 words: ECTO-1. OF. VENGEANCE. The following pictures are only mock-ups of what the next Haslab campaign might be: Possible tier? More news at 11:00... I ain't afraid of no ghosts! (See, that's a double negative, so technically, Ray Parker Jr. IS afraid of ghosts!) *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. Columbia Pictures has released a new teaser poster for the upcoming sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and it features a new Ghostbusters logo. The logo does have an icy, cold effect so it might take place in the winter in New York City. The working title for the sequel is Ghostbusters: Firehouse and is co-written and executive producer Gil Kenan, with Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitman serving as writer and executive producer. The movie also stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind. They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Ernie Hudson is returning from the original Ghostbuster movies and is said to have a large role to play in the sequel. The film is scheduled for a theater release on December 20th, 2023.
  4. Images have slipped out of the Hasbro Toy Fair showroom giving us our first glimpse at Hasbro's 6" Ghostbusters original movie figures as well as figures from the The Real Ghostbusters animated series. It's unclear what scale the Animated Series figures are. We should get better looks at these tomorrow when Toy Fair officially kicks off. Look for Hasbro coverage to begin around 1:30 pm ET.
  5. Deadline is reporting that Sony teased at CinemaCon with a sizzle reel confirming the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife is getting a theatrical release of Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023. Director Jason Reitman and writer Gil Kenan confirmed on Ghostbusters Day, June 8th, that the Ghostbusters sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently carrying the code name of 'Firehouse.' The next chapter will return to the original films’ New York City and firehouse setting.
  6. Sony made the announcement during CinemaCon that the fifth Ghostbusters movie is in the work. No talent attachments were revealed. The last Ghostbusters movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was directed by Jason Reitman and centered around the grandkids of Dr. Egon Spengler. The movie pulled in a total of $326.6M bringing the franchise’s global worth to $938.2M. Source: Deadline
  7. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Ghostbusters Afterlife Plasma Series Mini-Puft 3-pack! Those are really fun, even if you don't collect Ghostbusters figures! I can already see myself moving them all around the room constantly... The pack comes with 3 bodies and 6 different heads. We got a normal face, a smiling face, a surprised face, a suspicious face, an angry face and a derpy face (obviously, my favorite). The bodies are made of hard hollow plastic, while the heads are more 'gummy', so they're easy to switch. One body has the right food forward, another has the left foot forward and the third one has both feet at the same level. The arms also have (minimal) articulations, so you can get them in a variety of funny poses. They're perfect for army-building, since with 3 bodies and 6 heads, that's 18 different possibilities (quick math!). The movie was a great nostalgia-riddled adventure, and, even if they didn't have a major role in the movie, those Mini-Puft had some fun scenes, where they were basically hurting each other and themselves in a supermarket. I didn't want to buy mystery boxes to get a few of those to populate my shelves, so that 3-pack was more than welcome. More news at 11:00... Nice thinking, Ray!
  8. CY_IG posted some in-hand and unboxed images for the Hasbro Ghostbusters Afterlife Sentinel Terror Dog BAF wave. These are currently available for pre-order from Entertainment Earth.
  9. Just reported on IGN is the reveal that not so much of as reveal, but an updated reissue, of the Transformers x Ghostbusters Ecto-1 that is being offered as a Target Exclusive. Something we've kind of known from the many leaks that came out of the Target inventory earlier this year. The figure will be revealed today on the Fan First Friday session at 11 am ET / 8am PT and is said to be going on sale at that time.

  11. We had thought maybe Hasbro had forgotten about Ghostbusters, but looks like they did have a San Diego Comic Con exclusive planned this year for their 6" Plasma Series. The set features figures of Louis Tully(Rick Moranis) and Terror Dog and recreated the scene in the movie where Tully gets chased by the dog. You also get the wired-up colander Egon Spengler used to test Louis after his possession by Vinz Clortho. The set will go up for pre-order later this year on the HasbroPulse website and will cost $50. Look for it to be released sometime in September. Check out the images via i09 below.
  12. Thanks to a listing found on the Amazon UK website, it looks like Hasbro is launching a new My Little Pony crossover line with other Hasbro based properties. 15. As you probably know, Hasbro took over the Ghostbusters license this year. With that we have some rumored details to share with you about a line of 6" collector oriented figures for the property they will be releasing. Keep in mind that these have not been officially confirmed by Hasbro at this time, though we will likely see these on display next month during Toy Fair. The first wave we are told will contain 6 figures and a Build-A-Figure. Two of the figures in the wave remain unknown, but the other four will be based on the original Ghostbusters (Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore) from the first movie. Again, because this has not yet been confirmed by Hasbro, we will treat this as rumor for now.
  16. A Diamond Select Toys release! That's a big Marshmallow Man! The Villain of the original Ghostbusters film gets captured in his largest scale ever, with this approximately 10-inch resin bust! 17. Bill Murray has confirmed that he will be reprising the role of Doctor Peter Venkman in the upcoming sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Murray last played the character in the 1989 Ghostbusters 2 and made a cameo in the 2016 all-women Ghostbusters. Murray confirmed his return in a new interview with Vanity Fair and spoke about the Ghostbusters going on without their fourth member, the late Harold Ramis who died in 2014. “Well, we are a man down. That’s the deal,” Murray told Vanity Fair. “And that’s the story that we’re telling, that’s the story they’ve written.” The story follows Callie (The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon), a financially strapped mother who moves her two children — Phoebe (Captain Marvel‘s Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard) to small-town Oklahoma, and an abandoned farmhouse left behind by her dead father. They begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. Paul Rudd costars as a science teacher who’s been documenting the unexplained phenomena, befriending Callie and her kids and helping make the connection between the current weirdness and the events of three decades before. The new movie picks up 36 years after the marshmallow-drenched near-apocalypse that’s known in Ghostbusters lore as the “Manhattan crossrip.” The new Ghostbusters: Afterlife is being directed by Jason Reitman, the son of original director Ivan Reitman. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to premiere on July 10th.
