I am finally pulling the trigger and having the the mold removed from ceiling and rug in my basement. Unfortunately my basement also houses my toy collection. It will be a herculean effort just to moving everything. To make things even worse I have been told that since black mold consists of spores I will need to clean each individual item. I asked the company that I am contracting with what they would use to do this and was told "to try to hepa-vac your contents to remove as much mold as possible prior to moving them.
