  2. One of the Man of Steel’s most personal tales in DC history – from the mind of comics icon Grant Morrison, and produced under the expert oversight of animation legends Bruce Timm and Dwayne McDuffie – All-Star Superman will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD for the very first time on April 18, 2023, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Grant Morrison's beloved, Eisner Award-winning vision of Superman's heroic final days on Earth is brought to exquisite, animated life in All-Star Superman. The film begins as the Man of Steel rescues an ill-fated mission to the Sun (sabotaged by Lex Luthor) but, in the process, is oversaturated by radiation - which accelerates his cell degeneration. Sensing even he will be unable to cheat death, Superman ventures into new realms - finally revealing his secret to Lois, confronting Lex Luthor's perspective of humanity, and attempting to ensure Earth's safety before his impending end with one final, selfless act. Twelve years after its initial release, All-Star Superman holds a “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was the 10th in the ongoing series of DC Universe Movies and DC Animated Movies that now number more than 50 films across 17 years. The star-studded voice cast is headed by James Denton (Good Witch, Desperate Housewives), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men, Good Girls), and Anthony LaPaglia (Without A Trace) as Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, respectively. Other noteworthy cast members are seven-time Emmy Award winner Ed Asner (Up, Elf, The Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Perry White, Golden Globe winner Frances Conroy (American Horror Story, Joker, Six Feet Under) as Ma Kent, Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds, Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise) as Jimmy Olsen and Linda Cardellini (Avengers: Endgame, Dead to Me, ER) as Nasty. Rounding out the impressive cast are Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy), Steve Blum (Star Wars: Rebels, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto), Catherine Cavadini (Elvis, Soul, The Powerpuff Girls), Finola Hughes (General Hospital, Staying Alive), Alexis Denisof (Guardians of the Galaxy, Angel), Obba Babatunde (S.W.A.T., That Thing You Do!), John DiMaggio (Futurama, Interview with the Vampire), Chris Cox (Family Guy), Robin Atkin Downes (The Strain, Batman: The Long Halloween), Kevin Michael Richardson (Mortal Kombat, The Simpsons), Fred Tatasciore (Star Trek: Lower Decks, American Dad!) and Michael Gough (Overwatch, Batman: Arkham Origins). All-Star Superman is executive produced by animation guru Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) and directed by Sam Liu (Batman: The Killing Joke, The Death and Return of Superman) from a script by acclaimed animation/comics writer Dwayne McDuffie (Static Shock, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited). McDuffie, an incomparable force in the comics and animation realm, was a co-founder of Milestone Media, the industry’s most successful minority-owned-and-operated comic company. His creations are headlined by Static Shock, for which he won a Humanitas Prize in 2003, and he served as a producer in helping guide the beloved Justice League/Justice League Unlimited animated series. McDuffie passed away in 2011 at the age of 49. All-Star Superman will be available to purchase on April 18, 2023, on 4K Ultra HD both online and in-store at major retailers. 3. With all the DC Superheroes I've been making lately, I neglected to make villains for them to punch. So what better one to start with than constant foil to the Man of Steel, Lex Luthor! Lex was made using a WWE MOTU Roman Reigns torso with Kane arms and legs. The gauntlets are from a Toy Biz AOA Apocalypse figure and the boots ( which were a pain in the @$$ to make) were cut from a 3.75" Iron Monger figure with shin guards placed on the Kane boots. Lastly the head, upper armor, and waist sash were taken from a DC Universe Orange Lantern Lex Luthor. Hope you enjoy this and as always please leave feedback. Your comments motivate me to crank out more customs.
  4. Next up for my Masters of the Universe-Origins line of Superheroes, is the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash! I made this using a He-Man origins head and torso, WWE MOTU Roddy Piper arms, WWE MOTU Ricky Steamboat waist and legs, and WWE MOTU Randy Savage boots. The lightning effect was made from a pattern found on a Google search and then cut with my beautiful daughter's assist using her Cricket. The logo was also found on a Google search, I then cut it with an e xacto knife and applied. Finally the ear wings were taken from an old Flash figure, that I had in my parts bin. I hope you enjoy this and leave feedback. More League members are on the way.
  5. In the upcoming season three of the dramatic, DC live-action adventure series Titans, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats. During the show’s cast and producer panel at DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes on Saturday, August 22, the following new characters were revealed to be appearing on the show this season: Red Hood (Series star Curran Walters) — Jason Todd now dons a new identity in his obsession to take down his old team. Barbara Gordon (to be cast) — Former Batgirl Barbara Gordon is now Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. Although she has a past relationship with Dick Grayson, she is wary of the Titans now being in Gotham. Dr. Jonathan Crane (to be cast) — Known to most as the Scarecrow, Crane is a current inmate at Arkham Asylum and offers his services as a profiler and consultant for the Gotham City Police Department. Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series was developed by Akiva Goldsman & Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, based on characters from DC. Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Greg Walker, Sarah Schechter and Richard Hatem are the executive producers. The first two seasons of Titans are now streaming on DC UNIVERSE in the U.S.

  24. With only days remaining before DC’s STARGIRL premieres on DC UNIVERSE, the digital subscription service revealed today a set of images that showcase the series’ heroes and villains in their supersuits! From villains like Icicle and Brainwave to heroes including Doctor Mid-Nite, Wildcat, Hourman, S.T.R.I.P.E. and Stargirl herself, these never-before-seen images give fans a first look at the costumes each character will wear while in action. Created by DC’s STARGIRL costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, the supersuits are inspired by the original comic books and embrace the classic old-school characters from Geoff Johns’ 1999 series. Beginning May 18, DC UNIVERSE members will be the first to stream new episodes of DC’s STARGIRL, every Monday commercial-free in downloadable 4K Ultra HD. Additionally, members will have access to several exclusive offerings, including extended versions of select episodes, behind-the-scenes footage of cast and crew, exclusive collectible pins and limited-edition posters, DCU’s fan community forum to discuss the latest episodes and access to all the comics that inspired the series. From original creator and comic book writer Geoff Johns (executive producer of “Titans”, “Arrow,” “Batwoman,” and “The Flash”), DC’S STARGIRL follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she moves to Blue Valley, Nebraska after her mother remarries Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) and inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The live-action superhero drama reimagines the 1999 Stargirl comics and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. DC’S STARGIRL is lovingly inspired by Johns’ late sister, who was killed in a plane accident. DCU’s DC’S STARGIRL will premiere on Monday, May 18, in advance of The CW broadcast on Tuesday, May 19.
