  1. Deadline is reporting that Doctor Sleep filmmaker Mike Flanagan and his Intrepid Pictures partner Trevor Macy had a meeting with DC Bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran to pitch a feature version of the DC supervillain Clayface. No word if the studio has given the green light or if the studio said 'No,' but if the studio agrees to the project then Clayface wouldn’t be a bad guy. Sources are stating that Clayface is an addition to Matt Reeves’ The Batman 2, and it waits to be seen if Clayface has any connection between The Batman 2 and Gunn and Safran’s feature and series sprawling DC’s Gods and Monsters – Chapter One. The character was introduced as part of Detective Comics #40 in June of 1940. The original Clayface was a moderately successful actor who adopted the identity of a character he’d portrayed in a horror pic after turning to crime. He’s a frequent adversary of Batman with a body seemingly made out of clay who has appeared over the years in numerous types of Batman media. Clayface materialized again in the 1970s, which evolved the character into a scientist with hormone irregularities.
  2. The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Ben Affleck for a cover story and Affleck talks about his career, his life, his movies, the production company he launched with Matt Damon, Justice League, and why he’s done with D.C., You can read the complete interview here. ...About his new production company and what he feels went wrong with Justice League? Affleck talked about Zack Snyder’s fans being so intense online. Would he direct for DC if the studio asked him to direct?
  3. Director James Mangold is looking for another directing project and he may have found it with Swamp Thing. The project is in the early development stages and a script hasn't even been written but Mangold is a huge Swamp Thing fan, and DC loves the idea that Mangold wants to do it and has made him an offer. DC Studio's co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced a Swamp Thing movie but didn't make any director announcements on Tuesday. Today, Mangold tweeted out a photo from the Swamp Thing comic book which Gunn then re-tweeted. Swamp Thing movie would be way down the road as Mangold will be helming the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet after Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Mangold is credited with executive producing, co-writing, and directing Logan, the third Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman. Source: Deadline
