  1. Repaint of the Black Series Mandalorian. The figure is great and I wanted to make the paint apps more realistic! Did a black acrylic wash on top of his helmet and armor pieces, then gun metal dry brush and chrome drybrush to get that “beskar” material look. Finish off with a wetbrush of brown for minor rust on the helmet. The armor pieces I wanted a little bit more vivid since the show has the color in a slightly more red hue. Blackwash, then drybrush layers of the mixed brown/burgundyish color and silver for scratch marks. Painted in some red details on his belt and right wrist gauntlet to fill in on the lights on his right arm. Topped off with a clear finish to seal the paint! also... the Mandalorian is a great show... I have spoken
  2. This is a simple custom I made for the Marvel Select Carnage. I made a new headsculpt and alternate hands with apoxie sculpt. I didn't add any paint to the chest or alternate feet, since I didn't want to damage the figure (Because I love it!). So this is my Ultimate Carnage custom; thanks for checking it out!

  4. This week's custom is a 3 3/4" The Force Awakens General Leia Organa figure by Customs For The Kid Here's the story behind it: "This figure was a team effort to bring to life. Dad modified the head and body of the figure, while I sculpted on her collar and painted her face and vest. The body we used to make her was from the Star Wars "Dark Horse: Infinites" Action Figure Comic 2-Pack, with the "White Vader and Princess Leia (Sniper)". After we sanded off the pockets below the shoulders on the Sniper body, we cut the circular braid off of the figure and fused it to the head of the Black Series - "Princess Leia Organa" action figure. The soft plastic part of the dress from the Black Series figure was then modified with scissors to make the vest for the new figure. After some minor sculpting and a fresh coat of paint, we added a very much desired figure to the collection and we just love the way she looks." 5. This week's custom is Tobias Beckett (Imperial Mimban Disguise) by Darth Daddy"Dad made me this Tobias Beckett figure as a Christmas present to accompany the Val figure that he gave me. He used the chest of a Black Series Stormtrooper Commander action figure that he modified with a Dremel to include the blast marks, and some spare random Imperial body parts we had in fodder. The head of course is from the Force Link 2.0 Tobias Beckett figure that was modified to accept the hat and the holsters were also from that figure. The goggles were modified goggles from the Hoth Han Solo. The jacket was a modified one from the Vintage Endor Han Solo. The collar on his shirt, rank insignia, and jacket were all hand sculpted with ProCreate." 8. A few weeks ago, Jedi Insider featured the DIY 3 3/4" Imperial AT-Hauler (Solo)by The Write Guy as the custom of the week, he has now added a custom box mock-up "A box mock-up I threw together one day hanging in the coffeehouse. Product number: E0319. Dimensions: 19" x 16" x 5". Trivia bit: these measurements are based on the toy itself separated into its main components -- body, gantry, arms, claw. This plausible box size is between that of Hasbro's Force Awakens Millennium Falcon and Kessel Run Millennium Falcon box sizes. So if Hasbro had actually made such an AT-Hauler, it would probably be categorized as a "Class III Vehicle" under their product designation and retail for at least $99."and a look at Rio's chair. ""Is it a good day?" 14. This week's custom is a Death Star Escape Diorama by Hemble Creations "Death Star Escape. Recipe Figures - are all from Hasbro's BS 6" line and have had the joints glued and covered and they were painted using Vallejo Paints. The E-11 blasters are from Bandai's Stormtrooper kit as I think the look more to scale. Base - is foam board as are the walls and the DS walls I have printed and resized off the net and attached them to the foam board. The floor was done by firstly spraying it with matt black and then I used clear contact to give it the shiny look. The blue and black containers from https://www.facebook.com/outerrimtraders/. The bottle looking canisters are old asthma sprays and the vent's near Luke and Leia are the asthma spray holder. The whole base has been glued to a electric turntable so that it can placed into a corner and still be able to see the whole diorama. 18. This design is my own "toyetic" idea of what the Imperial AT-Hauler might have been like had Hasbro made one. It can interact with Hasbro's AT-DT Walker toy by carrying and releasing it just as you see an AT-Hauler do in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. Its arms are 18" long. You can download the building plans for free to make your own. This kit includes templates and decals in PDF and in their original PNG format. The Photo Guide shows you how the pieces go together (and how to build certain elements, such as the pilot seat and winches from scratch), so you can flip through them as you build.https://www.mediafire.com/file/k3y70hbgcyq5c1k/AT-Hauler_Kit.zip/Later in the coming months, I plan to post lots of photos of this AT-Hauler painted and with the decals applied to it. In the meantime, here are photos of it in its natural cardboard glory. You can keep up with updates and see more photos at the album I've put up for this concept toy:https://imgur.com/a/DKzVj1yThis AT-Hauler is made with corrugated cardboard (Amazon boxes), paperboard (cereal, snack boxes), coffee stirrers, toothpicks and a coffee cup sleeve. The only plastic parts are the cockpit window (from throwaway packaging for a sandwich), cylinders for the winches and some detailing on its back plate (both from bendy drinking straws). You probably have most of these materials already in your home or office. And it's held together with white glue -- the cheap stuff that grade school kids use. No other adhesives were used. Masking tape was used to temporarily hold glued pieces together until the glue dried and removed. Here's a preview of the main body painted and with the decals applied: Check out the image(s) of their custom below in our GALLERY!Click here if you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, and be sure to check out our Custom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.
  19. This week's custom is a 1:12 Partisan Rebel (Rogue One) by The Art Of Luke Sprywalker " I used the kit from Outer Rim Traders to bring this guy to life in plastic form. 21. This week's custom is Val (Mimban) by Darth DaddyHere's the recipe:"This is another figure that was inspired by a Colin Hobbs custom action figure. He made a killer version of Val in her Mimban Imperial dress. We just copied his recipe so we could have one of our own at home. To make this version of Val, we used the Force Link 2.0 Val head, boots, and back skirt, the lower arms, legs and feet of a Black Series Jyn Erso action figure, the chest of a Black Series Snowtrooper Commander, and the upper arms of a Clone Wars Phase 2 Clone Trooper. The soft goods hooded cape was from a Major Panno action figure that was dyed and modified. Some of the details like the scarf, lower arms, and weaponry attached to her belt were sculpted with ProCreate. We really felt Val was such a cool character that she deserved more than just one action figure representing her."Check out the image(s) of their custom below in our GALLERY!Click here if you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, and be sure to check out our Custom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

  23. This week's custom is a 6" Battle Damaged Darth Vader by Hemble CreationsHere's the recipe:"Vader - is a KO version and is perfect to do a Battle Damaged Vader as they are cheap. I glued the joints and then used putty to cover them and also used putty to make the damaged skin area's and the ripped suit. The cyborg parts are from a 7" NECA Terminator figure and I just took the parts I wanted and trimmed the ends so they would fit perfectly with the Vader figure. The loose wires are some old LED lights that don't work anymore and I cut off what I needed. The cape is some black fabric I picked up form the local craft store and I added thin wire to give it a flowing motion. Base - is a mould from a Woodland Scenics rubber mould that you make yourself which I got from a mate and the grass tufts are form the local gaming shop. Both the figure and the base were painted and weathered using Vallejo paints and pastel chalks."Check out the image(s) of their custom below in our GALLERY!Click here if you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, and be sure to check out our Custom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.
  24. https://jediinsider.com/173-20232 This week's custom is a 3 3/4" Chewbacca, from Solo: A Star Wars Story [Version 2], by Darth Daddy Here's the story behind it:"We used Gentle Giant's "Bust Up" Chewbacca head with Hasbro's Vintage Chewbacca action figure, mashed the two together with the glue from a glue gun to create one of the best representations of the character we've seen yet. We did A New Hope version of Chewie with the same head years ago and grabbed a second head off eBay to use with the accessories of the Hasbro Chewbacca ForceLink 2.0 action figure from the Solo film."Check out the image(s) of their custom below in our GALLERY!Click here if you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, and be sure to check out our Custom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.
