  1. Over the last few years, there has been more and more action figure lines or cool items that used crowdfunding as a way to make things happen. A collector from Idaho went a step further and is about to launch a Kickstarter to crowdfund... his dream toy collection! Whether we are talking Kickstarter Spawn, Plunderlings or a Haslab gigantic figure or vehicle, we have all heard about those big crowdfunding campaigns with cool toys. Some got funded, some did not. Brian, a toy collector from Boise, Idaho, has decided to crowdfund his dream collection: "Right now, I have very little, but if there are enough backers, I could get a very decent, big collection, that people will be able to enjoy through pictures, or toy collection tour video online. We can even set a 24/7 live stream of the collection room. I am planning to start with a $25,000 goal, so that I can start with a full complete collection + nice displays, lights, cameras,... , and add stretch goals every $5,000. With every stretch goals, I'll add a new line for the collection." "I'm confident it will be a very easy goal to reach. There are lots of toy collectors, so if every toy collector gave $1, I'm sure we can reach some higher goals. If the campaign ends up going high enough, I could even put a deposit on a bigger house, and then fill it with the toy collection that the crowdfunding campaign allowed me to have, and then everybody can enjoy my collection. It's a win-win for everybody." More news at 11:00... Coming soon on Kickstarter! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. This year, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park, and Mattel has announced their new crowdfunding project: the Mattel Creations Jurassic World The Gates crowdfund! The first 4 unlocks have already been announced, as well as the Early-bird bonus, but ToyFarce dressed entirely in white in a tropical jungle, spared no expense and found out about the next unlocks for you! The Jurassic World The Gates (branding being the reason behind it not being called "the Jurassic Park The Gates", sadly. It might confuse tons of potential backers...) will have gigantic motorized entry gates (20" tall!), and the legendary Ford Explorer from the movie as the basic offering. The first 4 'unlocks' have already been revealed, being all from scenes that happen nowhere near the gates (or even near that movie, with the T-Rex from 'The Lost World'). The following 3 unlocks will now be revealed exclusively by ToyFarce: Unlock 5 - "Heavy, expensive" night vision goggles "Are they heavy? - Yeah. - Then, they're expensive. Put them back!". The iconic night vision googles found by Tim under his seat will be included under the seat of the Ford Explorer as well at 11,000 backers. They will be made of premium stainless-steel, making them heavy, thus expensive! Unlock 6 - "I won't tell anyone you threw up." "Tim! Are you ok? Are you ok? - I threw up." Who could forget that classic exchange between Dr. Alan Grant and Tim? At 12,000 backers, a Dr. Alan Grant figure and Tim's vomit will be included for the Ford Explorer! But hey, don't tell anyone that he threw up! You promised! Unlock 7 - "3D" additional part for the gates In 2013, Jurassic Park was re-released in 3D for the 20th anniversary of the movie, so that people could enjoy it in theaters again. The poster of the movie featured the gates, with a "3D" part added at the top. At 13,000 backers, you will be able to add the "3D" part to your gate as well! What other unlocks do you wish to see added to the Mattel Creations Jurassic World The Gates Crowdfund? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... At least, it's not paddock signs! Oh, wait... *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. Hello everyone, I'm here today to submit a project of mine to you. Akane, a 20 cm PVC action figure totally original and made by me. All this was born as a game, I wanted to create a cartoon character for a comic but then since the project has run aground I thought to make it become something more tangible. I'm creating a crowdfunding to make this statuette but unfortunately the project is very ambitious and expensive. I hope you like Akane and can share my dream with your friends. Advice or criticism are always welcome, as you certainly have more experience of me in this field. If you like my project, please put a "like" and "share" it on social networks. If you really should superrrrrrrr like you also make a small "donation". ? Thank you all for your attention.
