Hello figurine collectors — I must admit I feel a little like an interloper. You see — I am not much of a toy collector, but I do enjoy spending time in passionate communities. What I am is a television producer for Arkansas PBS. One of my passion projects which I get to work on from time to time is Once Upon a Time in Arkansas. https://www.myarkansaspbs.org/programs/onceuponatimeinarkansas OUATIA is a digital short series focused on digging up the quirky bits of folklore and forgotten history from around the natural state and retelling them in a short and visually engaging ways. We are gearing up to produce our second season, and one of the stories we want to tell this time around is the story of Jesse James’ first stagecoach robbery in Hot Springs, AR. My team and I want to highlight how the “ideal” of the Wild West took hold of the American imagination in a way most stories never could. On the back of this idea of “imagination” we would love to retell the story of the stagecoach robbery through stop-motion using 12-inch action figures. I am slowly collecting the figures, but the WESTERN APPAREL is proving to be very difficult to track down under my budget constraints. And to be perfectly honest, I hate to buy it since, I really only need it for this one shoot. So I am wondering if anyone here has a few action figure costumes / outfits which might work in this western / civil war era — they would be willing to let me borrow or rent? Naturally — these items would be treated with the utmost care and respect. We are professional filmmakers, we work with costumes all the time. If this is an inappropriate request, I apologize. Any guidance is appreciated.... — CW
