  1. While I am late to the 6" line (only started collecting this year), I am definitely hooked. While it'd be nice to see some harder to get figures rereleased w/ new/improved paint decos, there are also some gaps I'd like see filled. 1. Princess Leia (Escape from Cloud City) - With Hoth Leia coming soon, and rumors of a Bespin Gown version, this seems like a no-brainer to be on the horizon,, just a head swap, retooled hands and lower legs, and possblly retooled torso (shoulders) 2. 'Clean Stormtrooper/R2-D2 Archive re-rrelease 3. Padme' Amidala (Geonosis Arena - 'battle damaged')/ Anakin Skywalker (AOTC) 4. ESB /ROTJ Chewbacca w disassembled 3PO 5. Luke Skywalker (Bespin) [w Battle Damage/ Alternate Head] 6. Lobot 7. Luke Skywalker (TLJ - Battle Of Krait) 8. Count Dooku/ Mace Windu 9. Bib Fortuna 10. Ewoks As for Repaints/Rereleases , how about... ROTJ E2-D2 (Jabba' s Bartender) Boba Fett (ROTJ Paint Deco) Update:- July 20, 2020 A little over 2 years later, I was finally able to get a loose R2 and Stormtrooper, as well as the announcement of the Mando 'remnant stormie release so 'Battle damage Padme' and Bespin Luke are now my top 2 figures. Lobot and Bib move up a bit to help fill in my SB/ROTJ displays. I'd also like to see some more Cantina/Jabba aliens (Cantina Band/Ponda Baba/etc...), as well. I'll keep TLJ Luke in there, despite the film, I really like the scene 1. Padme' Amidala (Geonosis/Battle damaged) 2. Luke Skywalker (Bespin/Battle damaged) 3. Bib Fortuna 4. Lobot 5. Cantina/ Jabba's Palace Aliens 6. Prequel characters 7. Luke Skywalker (TLJ - Battle Of Krait)
  2. As we await Hasbro's next batch of official Star Wars reveals set to come next Friday, I have a new Rumor Report to share with you. Based on intel I have seen we can expect to see a 6" Black Series Carnor Jax figure released in 2021. This should be a fan-channel exclusive release which seems to be part of a theme of comic book based figures Hasbro is doing. I already told you about the rumored Jaxxon figure as well as a new Darth Maul figure also slated for the Fan-Channel treatment. Originally I thought the Maul coming was going to be from the Clone Wars Animated series, but now it's looking more like it will be based on some version from the comics. Not that I am sure that makes a big difference. There is one other figure I have heard is coming that will share this Fan-Channel exclusive comic book theme, which is a Luke Skywalker figure of some kind. I do not know at this time the exact version of Luke from the comics the figure will be based on. While Hasbro has done 3 3/4" versions of Carnor Jax before, I don't believe he is considered official Star Wars cannon any longer at this point. I don't know if that is going to change or perhaps because he is a fairly known and popular character Hasbro was able to get permission to do another figure of him. While we will treat this as RUMOR until Hasbro officially confirms it, a 6" figure of him definitely looks to be in the works. Also I don't have any idea if any of these will be confirmed on the 29th during Hasbro's next Star Wars Live-Stream event. I hope so but we will have to wait and see.
  3. According to Yakface, 4 new Star Wars 6" Black Series figures are heading to Target stores as exclusives. The four figures are using the codenames Sun, Snow, Rain and Wind. These are supposed to be released at least official on May 19. Yakface believes one of the four figures will be some version of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The four figures like we have seen with Hasbro's G.I. Joe Classified Target exclusives will each be shipping to stores in solid cases. We will likely get these figures officially announced during Hasbro's next Star Wars live-stream even which will be on May 4. If we hear anything more on these we will be sure to update you.
  4. It's March so it seems like a good time to kick off a new Rumor Report for the Star Wars 6" Black Series line. The info below is more to add to info others have been reporting on. First anerdydad is teasing another new Gamestop Gaming Greats figure announcement is going to be coming soon. The most likely outcome for this seems to be some kind of re-issue of the Jumptrooper Hasbro released back in April 2019 which was also released as a Gamestop exclusive. You can see parts of the Jumptrooper jetpack featured in the diorama art on the package of the Gaming Greats Cal Kestis figure that was announced last month. Next up I wanted to touch upon a rumor Yakface recently reported on for a possible Target exclusive Obi-Wan Kenobi figure in the works. I don't know if it's the same figure Yakface has discovered, but I have seen indications there is a new Revenge of the Sith Obi-Wan coming in the next wave of Archive figures, which I don't think will be exclusive to Target. Other figures I've seen listed for this Archives wave includes some version of Leia, Darth Revan, and a Clone Trooper of some type. Finally just because we got our first look at Fennec Shand from the upcoming Bad Batch animated series this week, I wanted to share news that we will be getting a 6" Black Series version of the character later this year. I ASSUME it will be based on the live-action version played by Ming-Na Wen, and not the animated version. Fennec should be part of the same wave that will include Aurra Sing, General Lando Calrissian and Zero which Hasbro confirmed in their last Live-Stream in January were coming. Yakface recently reported about a Echo figure coming, so he is likely part of this wave as well, though I have not seen any info confirming that one.
  5. Forgive me if this rumor has been previously reported elsewhere, if so then just consider this further confirmation of it. I have received intel that suggests that Hasbro will be releasing a number of 6" Black Series figures for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story early next year. Most of these will likely be re-releases of previous Rogue One figures done when the movie first came out with things like updated headsculpts for any of the human characters. One new figure that was never previously released however that looks to be coming is Bodhi Rook. Of course we will treat this as RUMOR until we get official confirmation from Hasbro in the coming days.
  6. Looks like the folks at Yakface are hinting that they have discovered a listing for a ForceFX Black Series Rey Skywalker Ligtsaber coming from Hasbro. I assume that's what they are teasing since they have ForceFX tagged in their post. While I don't have any specific intel at this time, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Hasbro also didn't give us 6" and 3.75" versions of Rey with the lightsaber she made for herself from her staff at the end of the Rise of Skywalker movie as well.
  7. Overseas retailer Zavvi posted up images and details for the upcoming Star Wars: The Black Series Deluxe Gaming Greats Cal Kestis which here in the US will be a Gamestop exclusive. The SKU# is 236078 for $30. You can pre-order it on Gamestop.com now. 8. I don't think any one doubts Hasbro sooner or later get around to completing the members of the Bad Batch Clones for their 6" Black Series line. Besides getting their own animated series later this year on Disney+, Hasbro already announced figures of Hunter and Crosshair last year that will be shipping in a wave along with Bo Katan and Asajj Ventress in April. But when might we see the final two members Tech and Wrecker? Well the before mentioned wave with Hunter and Crosshair has one more mystery figure in it which I believe will end up being Tech. I think we might even see an official announcement for that one as soon as this coming Friday during Hasbro's Fan Friday live-stream event which kicks off at 11am ET. Note the image of Tech below is not of a figure but from the animated series used for reference. As for Wrecker. Yakface first reported last year, that one looks like will be released as a Deluxe figure which seems like will be release around August time frame. I don't know if Hasbro will be showing that one off this week or not. If you haven't yet seen the first sizzle trailer for The Bad Batch animated series, check it out below. As always do treat all this as RUMOR until or if Hasbro officially confirms it.
  9. The folks at Yakface are reporting that we can soon expect to see Amazon selling as exclusives Kenner redeco versions of the Black Series Episode IV Obi-Wan, Greedo and Jawa figures similar to what we saw with Boba Fett and the Zuckuss and 4-Lom 2-Pack. Of course we will treat this as rumor until Hasbro officially confirms it.
  10. Overseas etailer Damingtoys has opened pre-order for what they are listing as 6" Black Series 50th Anniversary figures from Hasbro. The figures listed are all re-issues and I guess at least with the Episode 1 based ones we could see on cardbacks that pay tribute to the original line of Episode 1 action figures. They wave seems to breakdown as follows: -The Phantom Menace – Jar-Jar Binks -The Phantom Menace – Mace Windu -The Phantom Menace – Qui-Gon Jin -A New Hope – Obi-Wan Kenobi -Count Dooku -Jawa Hasbro last week announced they would be doing a Fan-Friday live-Stream on the 29ths at 11am ET with the focus seemingly being on LucasFilm 50th Anniversary product, so it's reasonable to assume these will be official revealed then.
  11. If you've been wanting to get that Walmart exclusive 6" Black Series Spirit Yoda figure, now is your chance to get it cheap. It's currently available on Walmart's website for $14.99. Thanks to kylocollector for the heads up.
  12. Mark your calendars for January 29, 2021 at 11am ET for the first Hasbro Fan Friday Live-Stream of the new year, and things kick off with Star Wars. We will of course have full coverage right here on JI for anything new revealed.
  13. The folks over at Yakface are being a bit cryptic on this one. They posted this image on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKH1i59M5IR/ Obviously the clue suggests some kind of new Black Series item based on the 501st troop battalion. Of course that could mean something from the Clone era or the Imperial era, and it might not even be an action figure, it could be a role-play helmet. I don't have any intel on this one so I am guessing just like you all, but my best guess is Hasbro will take their recent Walmart exclusive Ashoka 501st Clone Trooper figure and re-issue it without the Ashoka orange on the helmet, possibly for the Archives line. I guess we will have to wait and see.
  14. With a new year upon us, it seems like the dreaded price increase for Hasbro's 6" action figure lines is also upon us as well. Earlier today we were treated to our first Marvel Legends pre-order for 2021, and with that many couldn't help but notice the increase in price from the normal $19.99 to $22.99. I've been doing some checking, and while not officially confirmed by Hasbro yet, this price increase seems to be for all Marvel Legends releases as well as other 6" lines like Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series. I haven't checked on every single 6" line Hasbro does, or other scales of figures from Hasbro, so I can't say for sure how it will impact things like Power Ranger, G.I. Joe Classified or even smaller scale lines or things like Transformers. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see some kind of price hike all across the board. From what I can tell you should expect to see prices increase with products seeing release around July time frame. While seeing prices increase is never a good thing, it should also be noted that Hasbro has held off on increasing their prices for these things for several years, and truth is the prices only go up on these things, not down. I also don't know what kind of impact these price hikes will have at the big box stores like Walmart and Target. Those stores often are given discounts the smaller guy doesn't get, just because they order so much more inventory, and they could likely take on a price increase without raising prices on the consumer, at least for a while just to try and thin out the competition. Small retailers don't have that luxury, so this kind of thing tends to hurt them more than the larger stores. We will have to wait and see how all this plays out.
  15. Since others are starting to catch up on our previous Rumor Report of a Black Series Jaxxon figure which we told you about at the end of the year, I figured now was as good a time as any to let you know about two more figures that based on info I have seen will be coming to Hasbro's 6" Black Series line in 2021. Ponda Baba and Dr. Cornelius Evazan who first appeared in A New Hope and then later was featured briefly during Rogue One. These two figures should be regular releases and should be in the same wave as the trilogy flashback Luke and Leia that we also previously reported on. I don't know if Cornelius and Baba which I prefer to call Walrus Man will be based on their Rogue One or New Hope appearances. Not that I think it matters much, but if I had to guess I would say Rogue One since there are indications of other Rogue One figures coming this year like Bodhi Rook. As always we will treat these as RUMOR until Hasbro gets around to officially confirming them.
  16. The second season of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian has come to an end, and with that the potential for new and cool Black Series/Vintage Collection action figures has increased significantly. Last year you may recall I did an article titled The Top 10 The Mandalorian 6" Black Series Figures Hasbro Needs To Make After Season 1. Since then Hasbro has announced they are doing about half the figures from that list which I guess isn't too bad, but with so much potential for even more figures after season 2, I would say they definitely need to pick up the pace a bit. The good news is Hasbro has a full year until Season 3 of The Mandalorian premieres next December and my guess is that with the popularity for the show rising exponentially, we will see an even greater push of Mandalorian product in 2021. The bad news, for our wallets anyway, is that The Mandalorian isn't the only Star Wars series on the horizon which means even more potential for new product. So before we get to season 2, let's do a quick recap of characters from my season 1 list last year that have yet to get the figure treatment. Ran Malk, The Client, Xi'an, Mayfield, and Burg. I also forgot to list the droid Q9-0 who actually makes a brief appearance in season 2. Now on to season 2. We know Hasbro is giving us Bo Katan, so no need to include her here. Bo Katan So we will start with Din Djarin with his pure Beskar spear that he got in Chapter 13 titled "The Jedi". Honestly this isn't a figure I am dying for, but knowing the main character will likely continue to get new releases, it seems like a no-brainer. They could also include a new version of Grogu in a satchel that Mando can carry as we saw in Chapter 13. Hasbro already did a similar Grogu that they included with the 6" Mandalroan Speeder Bike this year. Din Djarin With Beskar Spear Chapter 13 also provided potential for a number of other figures that Hasbro could do. Another no-brainer is Ashoka Tano who made the jump from animation to live-action and is now played by actress Rosario Dawson. Even if she wasn't getting her own series, you know a new figure of her would be coming. Ashoka Tano Chapter 13 The other two characters that debuted in Chapter 13 that I wouldn't mind seeing figures of at some point are Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth played by actress Diana Lee Inosanto and Lieutenant Lang played by actor Michael Biehn. I would classify these two as minor characters, so there are definitely others I want to see first. Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth Chapter 13 Lieutenant Lang Chapter 13 While on the subject of minor characters, here are a few others from season 2 ones I wouldn't mind seeing eventually. Gangster Gor Koresh (John Leguizamo) Chapter 9 Mechanic Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris) returns in Chapter 9 Frog Lady With Egg Canister Chapter 10 Imperial Captain (Titus Welliver) Chapter 11 Republic Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee ) returns in Chapter 10 and 12 While a minor character, I definitely want to see a figure of Republic X-Wing Pilot Trapper Wolf who is played by Dave Filoni. It's less about the character and more that I think Filoni is deserving of an action figure. I also suspect we will be seeing both Wolf and Teva again. Republic X-Wing Pilot Trapper Wolf (Dave Filoni) returns in Chapter 10 One other character I guess you would classify as being fairly minor since they only had a few seconds of screen time is Bib Fortuna, who we last saw in Return of the Jedi. A fat Fortuna, I think, is a must have figure. Bib Fortuna (Matthew Wood) returns in Chapter 16 There are several characters from season 2 seemingly who started off as minor ones but have taken on greater importance such as Dr. Pershing . He was another character I didn't even mention last year, but think he definitely needs a figure made now. Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) returns in Chapter 12 and 16 The accountant Mythrol who first appeared in Chapter 1, and then returned in Chapter 12 is another one I think due for a figure. Mythrol (Horatio Sanz) returns in Chapter 12 And Mayfield who returned in Chapter 15. I don't doubt we will see a Mayfield figure. The bigger question is what version will it be based on, the season one outfit or one of the three outfits he had on in Chapter 15: the prisoner outfit, the Imperial Transport outfit, or the black outfit he had on at the end. I have little doubt that we will be seeing Mayfield again, and suspect he will go from being a minor character to a major one. Mayfield (Bill Burr) returns in Chapter 15 Mando wearing the Imperial Transport armor is another possible figure I think we could see. One other new character I think many would like to see in figure form is Cobb Vanth in the Boba Fett armor from Chapter 9. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing Vanth again, though he likely won't be wearing Mando armor. If we get a figure I would want it with the armor. Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant) Chapter 9 Speaking of Boba Fett , this is another one I have little doubt we will be getting a new figure of in the near future. The bigger question is which version if not all of them? Non-Armor Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) Chapter 9 and 14 Banged Up Armor Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) Chapter 14 Cleaned Up Armor Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) Chapter 15 and 16 Another Mandolorian I am sure we will see in figure form soon is Katan's right-hand lady Koska Reeves played by WWE superstar Sasha Banks. Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) Chapter 11 and 16 Speaking of right-hand ladies, another must have figure is Boba Fett's new partner Fennec Shand played by Agents Of SHIELD star Ming-Na Wen. I am sure we will be seeing Shand in the new Boba Fett series, and she is rumored to be appearing in the upcoming Bad Batch animated series. Not only that but she wears a cool outfit, so I have little doubt we will be seeing her in figure form soon. Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) returns in Chapter 14, 15 and 16 Speaking of cool-looking characters, we can't forget the new robotic Dark Troopers. If or when Hasbro gets around to doing these guys, my guess is they will be offered as bigger deluxe figures. Dark Trooper Chapter 12, 14 and 16 Last but not least, we can't forget the biggest surprise of the season, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. My guess is Hasbro will just make some slight modifications to their recent Return of the Jedi Black Series Luke, but I have little doubt we will be seeing Luke from The Mandalorian series in figure form. Luke Skywalker Chapter 16 Finally and just for fun, here are some vehicles I wouldn't mind seeing for the Vintage Collection. Slave-1 seems obvious since Hasbro could just make some slight paint deco changes to their recent Empire Strikes Back one. The Mandalor Gauntlet ship which originally appeared in the Clone Wars and Rebels animated shows and was seen briefly in Chapter 16, when Mando and Fett are looking for Bo Katan. This is one I think would be cool to see. They could even repaint it in Darth Maul colors from the Rebels and Clone Wars animated shows. I have a feeling we will be seeing this ship more in season 3 of The Mandalorian. Slave-1 Mandalor Guantlet Ship So that's it for now. Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION.

At Target look for the Black Series Captain Cardinal helmet which is really related to The Mandalorian, but it will be available for pre-order today. Finally coming to online etailers is the most recent version of the Vintage Collection Slave-1 vehicle from Empire Strikes Back. This had previously been a Best Buy exclusive.
