It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews! This week, we're having a look at 2 of the NECA figures that were available during the NECA Haul-a-Thon at Target, the black and white version of The Universal Monsters Wolfman, and Griff Tannen from Back to the Future 2. The NECA Haul-a-thon was a 4-weeks event that happened at Target and on Costumes.com, where a bunch of figures were available for a limited time there, before being available online everywhere. First off, the Wolfman, as portrayed by Lon Chaney - I had picked up the black and white Frankenstein monster, so now, I have to pick all the other ones in black and white as well, don't I? Isn't that the rule? Anyway... The figure comes with a beautiful art box (as is tradition with NECA), and has a ton of accessories: 2 extra headscuplts, including a Lon Chaney one, along with human feet and hands to turn your wolfman into a... man, his wolf's head cane and a wolf trap. It also comes with a tiny stand because since the feet are wolf-like, it wouldn't be able to stand. A cool figure, looking forward to have more of them to crowd the movie shelf. Griff Tannen, Biff Tannen's grandson in 2015 was a figure I was really looking forward to, since it's one that has the most crazy outfit from the 'future' (as imagined in the late 80's). Tom Wilson played both Biff and Griff in the movies (spoiler?), so the headsculpt, which was already great on the young Biff Tannen figure, is still pretty spot on. Griff comes with a second headsculpt (without helmet), his extendable baseball bat and his Pitbull hoverboard (or Pitboard). Just like the BTTF2 Marty, the board comes with a little transparent stand so that you can display it as if it were hovering (why haven't we figured out that technology by now?). A fun figure! There's still one Doc Brown from the first movie that was announced and should come out soon, and after that, maybe we'll start to get figures from BTTF3? Crossing fingers... NECA Haul-a-thon review part 2, with Demona and Bronx from the Gargoyles line, next week! More news at 11:00... What's wrong, McFly. Chicken?

Back in February during Toy Fair, NECA announced they were going to be releasing a line of action figures based on the old Back to the Future animated series. The figures they are doing for this line will be in a similar style and scale as their popular Toony Terrors line, which stand around 6" tall. At Toy Fair they showed figures for Marty, Doc Brown who will include his dog Einstein and Biff. They are even doing an in-scale DeLorean time machine for your figures to ride around in. Just this week NECA has said these figures will start to see release in September 2020 and promise more details will be coming soon. Check out our images for this line from Toy Fair below.

NECA had been teasing a new Back To The Future figure reveal for Back To The Future Day which was yesterday. The only image they released however was one of Marty from behind playing the guitar. Originally I thought this was simply the first Marty figure they had released, only with the red vest jacket removed. Then today they released a second image of that same figure, this time with it holding a photo of his family as seen in the movie. This is an accessory that wasn't included with the first Marty figure. I am also told the red vest jacket on the original figure isn't made to be removed. So that leads me to believe this is a new Marty figure they will be doing without the jacket and probably some new additional accessories. Perhaps it will have a new headsculpt as well since that is something NECA has yet to reveal with these first two images. I guess time will tell.

For you Back to the Future fans, it looks like based on this teaser released by Hasbro today, they will be doing a Transformers/Back to the Future mashup of the DeLorean. Details for this will likely be made this coming Friday during their Transformers Fan-Channel event which is said to show off 6 new items. Coverage for that event will be held over on TFormers.com. Last month we saw indications Hasbro was going to be doing a Transformers/Top Gun mash-up figure and last year they did a Ghostbusters Transforming Ecto-1.
