  1. For you Back to the Future fans, it looks like based on this teaser released by Hasbro today, they will be doing a Transformers/Back to the Future mashup of the DeLorean. Details for this will likely be made this coming Friday during their Transformers Fan-Channel event which is said to show off 6 new items. Coverage for that event will be held over on TFormers.com. Last month we saw indications Hasbro was going to be doing a Transformers/Top Gun mash-up figure and last year they did a Ghostbusters Transforming Ecto-1.
  2. Hasbro Pulse will be hosting a twofer for Fans First Friday on June 26th with a Transformers and GI Joe Events. Judging from the times, these are going to be TWO DIFFERENT reveals, not a crossover reveal, but you never know. Read on to see the official announcement and details.
  3. Thanks to these images that showed up on weibo.com, we have a look at what appears to be a Top Gun Transformers mash-up figure coming from Hasbro. It appears to go from F-14 fighter jet to a bot named Maverick. Since Hasbro isn't the master license holder for Top Gun products, this makes for an unexpected reveal but Paramount does have a new Top Gun movie coming out as well as working on several Transformers projects, so from that stand-pont I guess the mash-up makes sense. No details on where or how this will be released, perhaps as one of Hasbro's SDCC exclusives this year??? We will update you once more details are made available and of course until Hasbro actually confirms it we will also treat it as rumor.
  4. A company by the name of Super Impulse is launching a new line of 1.25" micro figures called "World's Smallest". These figures have three points of articulation, and includes a replica of the original action figure blister card, for display and storage, display stand and accessories. The are doing figures for G.I. Joe, Transformers, TMNT, Masters of the Universe, Power Rangers and Horror characters. Look for these to start seeing release in June and throughout the summer. You can pre-order these from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  5. Thanks to a listing found on the Amazon UK website, it looks like Hasbro is launching a new My Little Pony crossover line with other Hasbro based properties. The pony figures are listed at 4.5" and the Amazon listing gives our first look at the My Little Pony Ghostbusters themed figure. While not shown, other figures listed include Transformers My Little Prime and Power Rangers Morphin Pink Pony. There is also a boxset featuring the Ponies as Dungeon and Dragons characters.
  6. I've been collecting since I was a child in the 1980s; much of what I have reflects what I kept as a kid (G.I. Joe, Transformers, Voltron, Star Wars) but I have thinned it down to what I can show off to reduce a bunch of bins in storage. It is quite diverse with a lot of smaller toy lines represented; some of my favorites including Starcom, Captain Power, ExoSquad and COPS to name a few. The packaged Ninja Turtles were found in my grandparents attic when we cleaned out their house (fresh with a 1988 Kmart receipt). Cabinets are the Billy cases from IKEA with the optional doors and two DETOLF cases I got from a friend. My wife gifted me the basement when we moved in to do with as I pleased, these are the current results after 10 years of display.
  7. Ready for something really unique? Here's a Transformers/Marvel Legends Crossover Bludgeon! He was created using the Silver Samurai body and heavily modded helmet, Ghost Rider head, War Machine armor/forearms, TF Hoist shoulder for the backpack, Overwatch Reaper legs, KO TF Scrapper top for the shield, and some fodder parts. Bludgeon was primered with Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, sculpted sections using Aves Fixit Sculpt, hand painted, airbrushed metallic armor effects, and sealed with Mr Hobby premium Matte. His eyes are glass reflective and he has a 5mm port in his left arm. For more pics head to his page here: Pretender Bludgeon, Marvel Legends/Transformers crossover
  8. Deadline is reporting that Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley has been picked by Hasbro’s entertainment studio eOne and Paramount to direct a big scale Transformers theatrical prequel that sources said focuses on an origin story. It takes place on Cybertron, the planet from which the good-guy and bad-guy robots came from. The film revolves around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron. The film will have nothing to do with any of the live action Transformers film series and the Bumblebee spinoff. Hasbro/eOne is running point on the production of this film as making a big scale animated feature is easier than a live action tent pole because so much of the work can be done while respecting social distancing. That is an issue in the acceleration of the Transformers animated film, which has more or less begun production. The script was written by Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari and have been working on the animated film for several years. Both are credited with production work on Ant-Man and were the credited writers on Ant-Man and the Wasp. Josh Cooley is fresh from winning an Oscar for Best Animated Film for Toy Story 4 and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian and Hasbro/eOne are expected producers.
  9. I can take pics if needed, but here's a video of my collection. Pretty stoked that I just Cleaned up the Room
  10. Welp, here's mine, not as huge but it's decent :), wwell it is mostly consisted of Transformers and some plasma dragons from Mega Bloks which are rare nowadays or they're on ebay but are likely expensive not sure. Well it is mostly small since i really didn't make it up for most of collecting figures from other series like i have around 6 Marvel legends here, 2 Batman TAS figures there and a such. But i am indeed proud cause despite that i haven't gotten much chance to get more figures i definitely love figures for the most part. By the by, i do have some other figures but sadly i can't find them and others just broke miserably :(, sorry about that.
  11. How do Siege and Earthrise carry on the tradition of Transformers gimmicks and what would you like to see more of?
  12. You know, since i saw a certain topic or forum about someone explaining how they got into figure/toy collecting i sorta wanted to tell how i got into it too, i even tried to find which was the topic that showed such topic to talk about so i had to make this one, welp, here goes something and boy is it gonna be a long ride: Like many childhoods of course it had to start there, i was introduced to some random toys that I'm not sure if it was my dad or my mom who would show us these toys, i was intrigued for them and the funny thing was that i didn't know who they were at that time, i had a knight with a flail, a mr freeze from that weird Batman and Robin movie, a "cute chibi like" robot from Cubex, Imperialdramon and Goldar from power rangers; these guys were pretty much my gang as i would probably call them, i had no idea who they were before but i often spent time playing with them and all. Of course i was interested for other lines like Bionicle which i only had 2 figures and i admit i wanted to get the first six Toa they announced back then but my parents obviously couldn't afford more money for that, then there was a time i truly was into dinosaur toys and i had a big collection, i loved them so much, i couldn't tell which ones where fron this company here and there but i had a couple of them which from Jurassic park 3 and my biggest faves where a Tyrannosaurus and a velociraptor toy from that line. Admittedly even as a kid i did dumb bad stuff to get some of them, like i often took at least a Pternadon from another kid if memory serves and boy let's say i wasn't gonna go without an irony there. There was a time we were at the flea market, i was told to put my dinosaur toys on a display which i didn't know by that time they were actually selling them, normally that would had been my saddest moment by that time but as i said, irony came as i often played with my velociraptor and two girls stoled it from me, like i legit was crying and felt heartbroken i truly wanted to get that toy back and i couldn't, on my present view the velociraptor wasn't exactly the best the more i looked into the toy's review. Now around 2004 and 2007 were a time when i started getting into three lines that i both feel happy and slightly regretted but not much. During 2004 there was these small dragons by Megabloks now known as Megabrands that came from eggs and had a plasma thing for a gimmick, these were plasma dragons and they were one of the best things i collected that even my mom got me one and even my aunt got me the rarest i couldn't find elsewhere by that time. Then i was into it's Pyrates line which was amazing because they were like lego stuff except more detailed most of them were ugly guys but i loved the skeleton characters there was that even i still own the two ship sets there was. Now none of these two were the biggest contender like Transformers was, this was the line that truly got me into collecting alot and i was truly passionate about these guys, mostly the 2007 movie toyline i almost wanted to get them all which i only had around 12 or such? At the same time this was something i wasn't much careful about admittedly and the worst part i was 14 when this was happening but my parents were starting to get annoyed on buying me toys and i was unaware of he money problems there was going there hopefully that's no longer the case since now i would get the figures on my own in the present day, yet there was gonna be worst complications which I'll get into that later. In the meantime that was happening there were some Transformer toys i liked, some are still good for me even til this day and some others they werent, sadly some were good but sadly broked miserably or lost their paint job really horribly, since then i was told by my parents that they'll no longer buy me toys here and there, which it had some hiccups here and there but until 2014 or 2015 that totally stopped for good. However even when it stopped and i was saving money to get my own figures and such, let's say this really was getting into the nerves of my mom, she was saying things like it was too much, that i wasn't a kid anymore that i should grow up and forget about these things, heck I'm not sure if this was the case too but i think she even mentioned it was a satanic act; truth to be told while i know my toy collecting history had it's questionable acts and wrong turns it still heartbroke me badly because i really was into figures and toys because it was my passion, my hobby, my way to be away from the stress of multitudes of boring people i didn't want to bear being with. However i was backed up by my siblings who knew i loved this hobby so much and they knew that even i began to mature in terms of knowing what to buy by reviews, to cherry pick the ones i wanted to get and even saving money for which ones i wanted to get, afterwards my mom began respecting that, admittedly sometimes i feel that she's saying she's convinced but it doesn't feel that way, i know she is worried about my actions but i truly no longer buy absolutely every figure on the lines I'm going for, heck I'm not even a compulsive buyer for that matter. I can't say that my story is that interesting as it had some actions which i regret and others yet most of the time i truly do enjoy collecting cause it makes me happy, as long as i cherry pick with caution and reason I'm fine the way i am, because figure collecting is truly my joy of life and i am sorry but not sorry to those who think that toy collecting shouldn't be my thing, I'll always adore toy collecting it's truly the passion that feeds my heart for the most time. Side notes: i wouldn't say these facts are important to know but it's admittedly something i often like to do at times, for one i always try to go for a good checklist of the figures and toys i wish i could get whether it's by video review playlist, an image gallery or by making a text note list. Speaking of text note lists, i sometimes have a habit of making a list that says which characters should have a figure being made for them and which ones have bad ones and should be redone within time haha. Last note, while it's true that toy collecting is my hobby, drawing stuff is too, as a matter a fact as i mentioned my other two facts i end up making fan art drawings based on characters i like and such, lol i know it's not figure or toy related at all, but it's kinda fun to do so nevertheless, even it sometimes reflects the idea of which characters I'd either love to see them get a figure or do have existing figures but are rare nowadays. So that's pretty much all i wanted to do tell, my origins on how i started collecting figures after all.
  13. Paramount and Hasbro are still looking to cash in on the Transformers franchise as the companies have hired Joby Harold and James Vanderbilt to pen separate scripts as they pursue concurrent development. Details of the projects were not revealed, but the companies want to give the writers a chance to build out multiple storylines and to also expand the Transformers universe. The toy brand's underlying storyline is the seemingly never-ending battle between the good robots-who-can-turn-into-cars, Autobots, and the wicked robots-who-can-turn-into-military-hardware, Decepticons. The latest Transformers movie, Bumblebee was released in December 2018. The movie was a 1980s-set spinoff focusing on one of most popular characters, though it generated the least of the entries, $468 million worldwide. Joby Harold co-wrote the upcoming Zack Snyder zombie movie, Army of the Dead and is credited for writing and working on Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Para Bellum. James Vanderbilt is credited for writing David Fincher’s Zodiac and Netflix’s Adam Sandler hit, Murder Mystery. He also co-wrote the Andrew Garfield-starring Amazing Spider-Man movies and wrote and directed the newsroom drama Truth that starred Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
  14. As much as I spend my time online, keeping up with the latest reveals, leaks, and other news, there are still times when I walk into the store and still find a treasure that I had no idea existed. It’s amazing that, despite my constant browsing on forums and Facebook groups, I can still walk into a Target, a Walmart, or a GameStop and see something that has me say ‘WHAT?! THIS EXISTS?!’ Or even a simple ‘whoa that is way cooler than I had anticipated’. The latter happened to me much more recently. I am not a fan of transformers. Like at all. And my knowledge of the franchise is as surface level as it gets. But when I saw the Siege Optimus Prime earlier this year, I had to have it. I knew that the line was coming, but that was all I knew.! But then I saw it and I literally said ‘whoa this is way cooler than I had anticipated’. The former, where I found a figure or line I had no idea existed happened last spring/summer when I came upon the Jurassic World Legacy Collection at a Target. I knew there were figures from the new movie out, and Mattel had surprised me with how neat they were, but then I found Doctor Grant in the wild. It transported me back to my childhood and I bought up every figure in the line. Has anything like this happened to you? If so, which line or figure?
  15. Here is a 2nd party Fully articulated model kit Optimus Prime based upon one of his iconic IDW Comics looks! Here is my experience with it and opinions
  16. Finally a better Megatron! I was really looking forward to the release of this Megatron and I was not disappointed.
