  3. Warner Bros. Games and DC premiered an all-new trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal. The video features new gameplay and custom cutscenes of Robin, also known as Tim Drake, the youngest of the four knights and the third protégé of Batman to take on the Robin alias. Robin is a force to be reckoned with as an expert with his collapsible quarterstaff and a specialist in stealth techniques, psychological warfare, and deductive reasoning. Using teleportation technology from the Justice League satellite, Robin can zap himself across the battlefield, utilizing speed and surprise to his advantage in a fight. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in natural intelligence, with detective skills that are on par with, if not even better than, Batman himself. Robin deeply believes that Gotham City needs a Batman and aspires to one day take up the mantle himself. And when the time comes, he will be ready.   6. Spinmaster last week released a press release stating that they have entered into a 3 year agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) which includes allowing them to make DC Comic based things like remote control and robotic vehicles, water toys and games and puzzles type products. While not 100% clear, this doesn't seem like something that will effect the production of action figures from Mattel who had been the master toy license holder for DC for many years now. We've reached out to Mattel to see if we can get any clarification from them and will update you if we hear anything back.   9. Oscar-winner Lady Gaga is in early talks to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Warner Bros.’ Joker: Folie à Deux. Phoenix's deal hasn't been signed yet, but he's in advanced talks with the studio. According to Deadline, Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn — the Arkham Asylum shrink who falls in love with her patient Arthur Fleck aka Joker. The character was played by Margot Robbie in the Suicide Squad films. The sequel to the Joker is being kept under wraps, but Todd Phillips is returning as director and he co-wrote the script with Scott Silver.
  10. Variety is reporting that during the 37th Guadalajara Int’l Film Festival (FICG), HBO Max Latin America announced they are unveiling an upcoming animated feature “Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios” (“Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires”). This will be the first-ever collaboration between Warner Bros. Animation, Particular Crowd, Mexico’s Anima, and “Book of Life” producer Chatrone. The original, Spanish-language animated film places the iconic DC superhero against the backdrop of Aztec Mexico and immerses viewers in the enigmatic culture of Mesoamerica. The tale centers on a young Aztec boy, Yohualli Coatl, whose father, village leader Toltecatzin, is murdered by Spanish Conquistadors. Coatl flees to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of looming danger. “Using the temple of Tzinacan, the bat god, as a lair, Yohualli trains with his mentor and assistant, Acatzin, developing equipment and weaponry to confront the Spaniard invasion, protect Moctezuma’s temple, and avenge his father’s death,” the synopsis reads. The feature is being directed by Juan Meza-León with Anima’s José C. García de Letona and Fernando De Fuentes serving as producers alongside Chatrone’s Aaron D. Berger and Carina Schulze. Sam Register and Tomás Yankelevich serve as executive producers. Alejandro Díaz Barriga, an expert on Mesoamerican studies and the ethnic history of Mexico and the Andean region, will work closely with the creative team to make certain that the indigenous representation portrayed in the film is appropriate and relevant. The animated feature will be produced entirely in Mexico.

  12. Black Adam is hitting theaters on October 21st and DC Comics has released new comic book-style character posters featuring the superhero ensemble known as the Justice Society of America. With the release of the character posters, DC Comics will be printing a series of one-shot comic books called Black Adam: The Justice Society Files. The comic books series will release a one-shot every month, profiling Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone, and Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher to provide a backstory to explain the characters' connection to Black Adam. The first one-shot will center around Hawkman and will release on July 5th. Alongside the four comic book cover arts created by Kaare Andrews, DC Comics released variant covers portraying the actors playing the Justice Society of America characters in the new Black Adam film.
  13. Deadline is reporting that Kausar Mohammed is set to play the character of Dr. Meena Dhawan a.k.a Fast Track in a recurring role. She made her first appearance in tonight’s episode titled, “Keep it Dark.” Dr. Meena Dhawan is described as a titan in the scientific community who deftly balances her hunger for envelope-pushing scientific experimentation with a strong moral compass. These qualities lead Dhawan to discover a new way to democratize the gift of super-speed, finally allowing all humankind to reap the benefits traditionally relegated to meta-human speedsters. But her discovery also sends Dhawan down a path to become something much greater than she ever expected – a heroic allyship between The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Central City’s newest exciting speedster, Fast Track.

  16. Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan, “De Son Vivant”) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan, “Days of Our Lives”), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe, “grown-ish”), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara, “The Virgin of Highland Park”), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins, “Supernatural”) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore, “All American”), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson, “Raven’s Home”). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City.   19. Outright Games, the leading publisher of family-friendly interactive entertainment has today announced a DC Justice League game that comes to consoles and PC in 2023, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC. The Justice League was created in 1960 by writer Gardner Fox who united an all-star ensemble of powerhouse Super Heroes from the DC range. The core members Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman have become cultural icons with breakout movies, TV series, and video games, while still reuniting to take on their formidable Super-Villains. The as-yet untitled DC Justice League game from Outright Games will be released in 2023 with more details to follow.
  20. Warner Bros. Games today released a new MultiVersus cinematic trailer revealing Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes), The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant), and Velma (Scooby-Doo), all of whom will all be joining the ever-expanding roster for the free-to-play platform fighter videogame in development by Player First Games. The fun-filled trailer showcases an epic clash of characters, with Taz’s frenzied demeanor on full display alongside Iron Giant’s aerial prowess, while also confirming the astute problem-solver Velma, as they join the fight against a host of heroes and personalities, from Batman (DC) and Shaggy (Scooby-Doo) to Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes) and Arya Stark (Game of Thrones), and more.
