Target stores have begun to show inventory and stock of the new 40th Anniversary Voltron lion action figures made by Playmates!!! If you missed out on collecting these in the past like I have, now is a great time to start! In this video, I unbox each lion and review them.

Released to theaters in 1979, Alien became one of the most successful films of the year and has since grown to be a timeless sci-fi classic. To celebrate the film’s 40th Anniversary, NECA is releasing an ongoing series comprised of new releases all year long, with at least nine different Limited Edition action figures to collect. Each release will be a limited production run, so act quickly! Wave 4 will include previously released fan favorites Ripley(Compression Suit), Lambert(Compression Suit), and Giger's Alien, with various upgrades and improvements. Both Ripley & Lambert will feature photoreal facial deco of Sigourney Weaver and Veronica Cartwright! Giger's Alien features new paint deco based on HR Giger’s original concept artwork. Each figure will come packaged in a 40th Anniversary Kenner inspired window box to commemorate the occasion. Look for these to be released in May 2021.

NECA has released a new image for their upcoming Alien 40th Anniversary Ripley figure which includes the Motion Detector, flamethrower, Cat Carrier, and a new Jonesy the cat for accessories. The figure also sports an updated headsculpt and comes in the special 40th Anniversary package. This figure is part of wave 1 which will also include Dallas (Compression Suit), and Big Chap (Concept) xenomorph. Wave 1 will be released as Target store exclusives. Wave 2 which will be released exclusively online at places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com will include Samuel Brett, Dennis Parker and a bloody variant of Big Chap. The third and final wave has yet to be fully revealed. At Toy Fair we saw the Kane and Ash figures. The third figure has yet to be revealed. One would think it will be an updated version of Lambert, since she is the final crew member of the Nastromo to be done for this Anniversary line. Probably done similarly to the way they are doing the wave 1 Dallas figure, with an updated headsculpt. Wave three should be released as a Walmart exclusive.
