Sources from within have informed Deadline that 20th Century Fox has begun developing a new Alien movie and Cailee Spaeny is in talks to star. The project will be directed by Fede Alvarez with Scott Free producing. No actual storyline is known about the new movie except the iconic ferocious race of alien beings called Xenomorphs will reign terror against the humans that cross their paths. Currently, no information is available about whether this new movie will be standalone or continue the franchise.

Radio Silence, the filming team behind the relaunch of the Scream franchise will helm the reboot of Escape From New York for 20th Century Studios. Team Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella of Radio Silence will be producing along with The Picture Company partners Andrew Rona & Alex Heineman. Original filmmaker John Carpenter will serve as executive producer. A writer search is currently underway for the reboot. Source: Deadline

Make sure to use the bathroom and skip the Double Big Gulp before heading into the theater to check out James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water as sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that the movie has a runtime of three hours and 10 minutes. Cameron is known for making epic movies that have very long runtimes, including Titanic, which is three hours and 14 minutes, and the original Avatar, which is two hours and 41 minutes. 20th Century and Disney haven’t officially released the runtime, but the movie's length leaked out when the official rating was announced. The movie is rated PG-13 in the United States. Avatar: The Way of Water opens in North America on December 16th.

20th Century Fox is moving forward on the next movie in the Planet of the Apes franchise with 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.' Freya Allan is set to star in the production with Owen Teague as the lead ape. The additional cast includes Peter Macon. The project is being directed by Wes Ball, from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison. Joe Hartwick Jr, Jaffa, Silver, and Jason Reed are the film’s producers, with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping executive producing. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starts an all-new chapter in the Apes saga, picking up many years after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.

10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg has signed a deal with 20th Century Studios to direct the fifth installment in the Predator series from a script written by Patrick Aison. Aison's producer-writer credit include the series Kingdom, Jack Ryan and Treadstone. Plot details are being kept under wraps but it will not have any relations to the 2018 The Predator from Fox.
