The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jurassic World 3 casting news was revealed by director Colin Trevorrow during the screening of Jurassic World held at the Arclight Los Angeles hosted by Collider. Trevorrow announced that Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern are all set to reprise their iconic roles from Jurassic Park in the next installment of the Jurassic World franchise. Goldblum will once again play chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcom, with Dern returning as Dr. Ellie Sattler and Neill as Dr. Alan Grant. Universal is working with AMC and Skybound to distribute the untitled feature film starring Andrew Lincoln. The teaser includes the caption, “Rick Grimes Returns Only In Theaters” We reported back in November 2018 that the Grimes movies are among the first projects in development from Gimple as part of a multi-year plan for The Walking Dead Universe, which also includes other projects currently in the works: additional films, specials, series, digital content and more. Are movie studios starting to shy away from the San Diego Comic-Con? The question comes to mind as Deadline is reporting that movie studios such as Sony, Universal, Warner Bros. DC film studio and Lionsgate will not be attending the convention. Studios currently set to be attending are Disney/Marvel, Paramount and New Line. No reason for Universal, Warner Bros DC film studio or Lionsgate to not be attending but Sony does have their hands full with Spider-Man: Far From Opening opening next week and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood upcoming on July 26th.
