Todd McFarlane, one of the most iconic comic book artists of the late 20th century, has unveiled a brand-new DC Multiverse Batman action figure designed, created and produced by McFarlane and his award-winning McFarlane Toys company. This new Batman action figure is inspired from the mind of Todd McFarlane. McFarlane has created a new never-before-seen before version of Batman’s costume. It features a Black Cape and Cowl, comes with two swords, a base, and includes a collectible art card with Todd McFarlane's Batman artwork on front and character biography on the back. The incredibly deta

I started this mission to see how much Walmart cares about their customers who purchase their toy collectibles that are sold at their stores and online site. Reading TNI Admin JayC post about fixing scalping problems again helped push me to do it as well... On Friday, August 7th, Walmart.com put on sale at 2 PM Eastern, the 7" Mortal Kombat Spawn figure Signature Edition with a limit purchase of 1 for $59.99. This was a very limited figure of 1000 and was signed by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. The figure being sold was the 7" Mortal Kombat Spawn figure with the mace, which is the seco

Late last night Todd McFarlane posted this image on his personal Instagram account. The image appears to show a never-before seen Spawn related Cy-Gor figure. In the caption for the image it says, "Coming Soon..! CY-GOR (cybernetic gorilla)" and includes the following tags - #hybrid #savage #huge #mcfarlanetoys. The figure in the image does not appear to be any of the previous Cy-Gor figures that McFarlane Toys has released in the past, so it's unclear if what is shown is a brand new figure or what. The figure in the image does not appear to have any kind of articulation, howeve

If you are a fan of Todd McFarlane's Spawn character, then you probably know about the recent Kickstarter he held for a new 7" Remastered Original Spawn action figure based on the original 5" one released back in 1995. The Kickstater which had an original funding goal of $100,000 ended up with 23,761 backers and a total pledged amount of $3,447,390. All-in-all a fairly huge success for the comic book artist. Of course that first Spawn figure wasn't the only one released back in 1995. It was one of 6 figures released in the first wave that Todd used to help launch his toy

Todd McFarlane recently posted on Instagram this image stating he wanted to do a Batman figure based on his own artwork, featuring the big cape. Recently DC Direct did one of their Black And White statues bases on that look for the Dark Knight. And of course Todd's own company McFarlane Toys now holds the rights for doing DC Comic based action figures with their 7" DC Multiverse line. So doing McFarlane art style action figures seems like a no brainier, especially for Batman which is the character the big box retailers seem most interested in seeing o

Did Todd McFarlane just prove that the big box retailer is now obsolete when it comes to the world of action figures? Todd McFarlane is largely attributed as the person who created the action figure collecting demographic in this country in the early 90’s, when he launched his little toy company now known as McFarlane Toys. A toy company that gained notoriety, not by making cheap toys for young kids, but by delivering highly detailed pieces of art in the form of an action figure. Something that would attract consumers both young and old. He proved that there was profit to be had for toys

If you caught our interview with Todd McFarlane earlier this month (and if you didn't what are you waiting for), then you already know that new articulated Spawn figures are coming from McFarlane Toys sometime this year. Just the other day we told you how it looks like Spawn will be showing up in the McFarlane Toys 7" Mortal Kombat 11 series of action figures. Now it looks like Todd may be teasing another new Spawn figure he has in the works with Ninja Spawn. Just the other day he posted this on Facebook: Now it's possible this post was done more to pr

According to IGN, Todd McFarlane told them this past weekend during the New York Comic Con that he plans on bringing back his classic movie and monster action figure lines known as Movie Maniacs and Clive Barker's Tortured Souls, with an emphasis on direct to consumer sales. Something we have seen more and more companies do in recent years as retail shelf space for action figures gets smaller and smaller. There is no denying that McFarlane was one of the original pioneers of the "Adult Action Figure Collector" market here in the United States when he started his company McFalrane Toys back
