The CW and Warner Bros. Television have released an official first look photo of Tyler Hoechlin's new Superman costume for the upcoming CW TV series Superman & Lois. The new suit is designed by Laura Jean Shannon and built by her LA-based Supersuits team – the same team that made many of the well-liked costumes from Titans. She did this in conjunction with Creative Character Engineering. While not having underpants on the outside, the suit has a classic, timeless vibe that both harkens back to the Superman we all grew up with while grounding him and elevating the suit in a modern arena with updated techniques and applications. Superman & Lois premieres Tuesday, February 23 on The CW. In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, “Entourage”), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, “Graceland”). The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah (Inde Navarrette, “Wander Darkly”). Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, “Nip/Tuck”) looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, “All American”) enters their lives. Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is written and executive produced by Todd Helbing (“The Flash”) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns. The series is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Today after a busy day of covering Toy Fair, I got a chance to sit down and look through Mezco product catalog they had given me. While flipping through the pages of their One:12 Collective section, I came across this page. From the original Christopher Reeve Superman, the obvious conclusion is they are hinting to an upcoming One:12 Collective Christopher Reeve Superman figure. It should go great with the already revealed Michael Keaton Batman figure.

According to Variety, actor Henry Cavill is in talks with Warner Bros to once again dawn the cape for another Superman movie. Warner Bros. and Cavill’s reps couldn’t be reached for comment Wednesday.

Wolé Parks and Inde Navarrette have been cast as series regulars opposite Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch and Erik Valdez in Superman & Lois, the CW’s straight-to-series drama about the iconic DC couple. Parks will play the character of The Stranger; a mysterious visitor hellbent on proving to the world that it no longer needs Superman. Navarrette will play Sarah Cushing; the daughter of Kyle (Valdez) and Lana (Chriqui), is a whip-smart, supercool wild child with some demons in her past who becomes friends with the Kent boys, Jonathan and Jordan. Written by Helbing, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, played by Hoechlin and Tulloch, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Todd Helbing executive produces with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions. The drama, which was slated to film the pilot episode during regular pilot season before taking a break and resuming production on the rest of its 13-episode order in the summer, now will go straight into series production after all pilot production was suspended over the COVID-19 pandemic. The CW chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz revealed Thursday on the network’s scheduling call that Superman and Batwoman will take part in a crossover event for The CW. The network handed Superman & Lois a straight-to-series order and the crossover event is being planned as a two-hour event. The crossover won't be happening in December, given the COVID-19 production shutdown, but the CW hoped for it in either the first or second quarter of 2021. Written by The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing and based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. The series comes from Helbing, DC Universe architect Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros TV. Helbing executive produces with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions. The two customs in this picture are the batwoman and the Superman. There are based on their appearances on the CW's arrowverse. The batwoman is on a DC Mcfarlene bat girl body with a vinyl bat logo. The superman was on a CW flash body with a molded S logo and a Peta head from hunger games and a custom cloth cape with a wire in it.

Deadline is reporting that Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin will play the twin teenage sons, Jonathan and Jordan in Superman & Lois, the CW’s straight-to-series drama about the iconic DC couple. Elsass’ Jonathan is clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated. Garfin’s Jordan is wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games. Superman & Lois revolves around superhero Superman and journalist Lois as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.

Arrow ends and Superman & Lois begins. The CW has officially ordered 'Superman & Lois' to series. The network announced that the new series, headlined by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, has been ordered to series for the 2020-21 TV season to join the recently renewed The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Black Lightning. No information if the backdoor Arrow spinoff pilot episode, 'Green Arrow and the Canaries' has been ordered to series. This episode will air on Tuesday, January 21st. The Superman & Lois series will be filming its first episode this spring and follows “the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist” as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the pilot will be written and executive-produced by Todd Helbing (The Flash), Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns will also serve as EPs on the project from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. The CW is looking to expand on the success of the DC universe and have begun development on a present-day drama of Superman & Lois, starring Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the iconic couple. The hourlong project is being developed by The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, DC Universe architect Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV, where Helbing and Berlanti are under deals. The DC characters were created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The project is being written by Helbing and would have Superman & Lois being the world's most famous Super Hero and comic books' most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society. Former Flash showrunner Helbing executive produces with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions.
